It felt like a long walk from Dotonbori at first but as days went by, it’s actually just super close. 10-15 min walk to Dohtonbori, Taito Station, Shinsaibashi, Osaka-Namba Station, Namba Station. It’s in a quiet area within 2 min walk to Ministop. There’s a small Ramen place beside the hotel, another small restaurant and a vending machine across the street. For the price, its a decent place. Rooms are biiiiig to japanese standards. I’ve stayed in APA Hotel, they look the same but the rooms and bathrooms here are so much bigger. Concierge also let us borrow umbrellas since it was raining on our first day there. They also say single bed but its actually a double bed. All 4 of us fit very comfortably in a 2-bed bedroom.

Good location to many local restaurants, a Halal Chicken Ramen right next door, a number of restaurants on the other side of the street including Japanese Curry, a nice cafe on the corner of the main street, a Dominos for late night food, Soba next to it, and a few 24 hour restaurants too. Okay distance to the station about 10 min walk, not a big deal unless you are traveling out of the area very often. Similarly, Dotonbori and Nipponbashi are a bit of a distance further a 15 min walk, but close enough it's not an issue unless you frequent there and back. Overall, pretty good location near many things in walking distance. The hotel location is also inwards away from the main street, so it is quiet and doesn't have a ton of traffic around. Window was openable and while the view is mostly of the street and other buildings it was decent. Room was spacious enough to move around freely.

As noted by others the hotel was hard to find on Google Maps as it had only the Japanese name. I contacted Google to update the name to include the English name of the hotel, so it should not be an issue anymore. The hotel mentioned it should actually be "Toho Hotel Motomachi" with the Namba portion removed which I requested and Google is reviewing the further change. Not a ton of amenities at the hotel, but the staff are very helpful and friendly they make up for it. Speak pretty decent English too. No breakfast or restaurant option in the hotel, but with so many places around it's not a big issue. Chair wheels would lock up a lot making it hard to move around.

Excellent service! I met a staff member at the reception who was able to speak mandarin. His colleagues do not speak mandarin but try their best to answer my questions. The cleaning staff are also great at their work, making my stay very comfortable. The room is small but has everything I needed. This hotel is within walking distance from namba station, dotonbori, and an interesting shrine. It also is located in a quieter area so I am better able to recharge for the next day. There is a halal ramen store next to this hotel and a few convenient stores around this.

Value for money. About 15 mins walk to the train station. Good way to burn what we were eating. The room is decent size for Japan for four people, couple with two kids. The frontdesk let us borrow clothes iron and weighing scale. Peaceful location and relatively safe to walk at night. You can use microwave at reception and they also have water dispenser.

Just minor that there was no coffee but its ok there was a convenient store nearby where you could buy. I wish the pillows could be better.

I have returned to Toho Hotel after a week in Kyoto. Lovely hotel with great staff. Some of the staff could speak mandarin and that's very helpful, esp. when you need to seek their recommendations, etc.The room is small but clean. I rested well at this accommodation. Also, there are a few good places to eat nearby. The tv at the lobby would show how crowded the glico man area is.

Not sure if anyone needs to do laundry, this hotel doesn't have in-house laundry services. However, there is a 24-hour coin operated laundry place within walking distance.

The location of the hotel was convenient with convenient stores nearby and not too far away from the main Namba train station. We rented a car during our stay there in Osaka so although the hotel did not have its own parking facility, it was very convenient to have a paid parking directly in front of the hotel. Also, there is a halal popular ramen restaurant right next too the hotel which must be mentioned for future guests planning to choose this hotel!

No complaints other than I would like to see some improvements in the decor or ambience of the hotel.

Staff was exceptional! Friendly, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. Shipped our big luggage to our next hotel without any complications. Location was fairly close to Dontoburi and Namba station. 10 min walk, and easy to locate. Room was very spacious! Queen size bed with lots of room to open our luggage.

Was prohibited from using a hair dryer - not ideal when it’s raining and over 80 degrees out. With humidity like this, not being able to use a hair dryer was a challenge. Bathroom was a little dirty, but not terrible - grime could be seen in some corners. It also smelled like urine. Water pressure was a little low. Outlets were a little limited. If you have many things to charge - like multiple phones, chargers, and pocket WiFi like we did - make sure you have plugs that fit multiple usb cords.

The hotel sits at a very quiet location, we had a good sleep every night after a long day of sightseeing. The room was refreshed everyday during our 10 days stay. The hotel provided a bottle of cloth deodorant spray which was great! There was hot and cold drinking water dispenser at the lobby. After checking out, the hotel could keep our luggage’s at the lobby until we returned later in the day. There are several convenient stores nearby. Such as 7/11, family mart and mini stop. We stopped by daily to get our snacks and drinks. There is a coin laundry about 2 minutes walk away, ¥400 yen for a load of washing plus ¥100 yen for drying. Two drug stores with competitive prices are not far away, best place to buy the personal care and beauty products. JR and metro stations are less than 15 minutes walking distance. There are lots of department stores for shopping and dinning.

Considering that I booked this room for less than $50 a night I can only say that it exceeded my expectations. It was clean, spacious enough to deal with my suitcase, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but clean and had all amenities plus the wifi speedy. Liked the light buttons being next to the bed. Not much to dislike!

I enjoyed the hotel, but if I had to nitpick I'd say that the wall sockets are not universal (so bring your travel adaptor, perhaps ask for one)

Hotel is very clean and staff are very helpful. Some of the staff speak better English than others, but there should be no problem communicating. The hotel is a 30 second walk away from a Mini Stop and a 2 minute walk away from a 7/11. Namba Station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There is no laundry machine in the hotel, but there is laundromat less than a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
