Very nice capsule hotel in the heart of Susukino, maybe 5 minutes walk away from the metro and 15 from Sapporo train station. The common space is nice and is possible, being careful to be always respectful of others, to make calls, eat, and relax. The beds are very comfortable, but the walls between one capsule and another aren't super insulated, so it's necessary to be quiet to don't disturb the others if you are very sensitive to small noises bring earplugs. The bathrooms and showers are clean. In general, if you are searching an economical but decent place were sleep in Sapporo, this is a very good option. I spent there 11 days and all was good. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in the room, is not the best option and a real (and more expensive) hotel is probably a better option.

honestly, considering the price point, is very difficult to complain. Is a little bit dark, but is not really a bad thing, is its character.

The hotel is very central, very easy check in and check out, comfortable bed and conform to the pictures online. The showers and toilets are very clean, the towel and soap, shampoo and conditioner are included.

Because there is no roof between the rooms, the rooms are in no way soundproof so you hear everything. It is also a bit too warm in the room section. The locker is a bit small, you cannot fit much more than a small backpack.

I loved Theatel! Such a great common area for working, or hanging out. Comfortable beds, even in the dormitory. Friendly, helpful staff, plus, a great location. SO central. Would stay again, and highly recommend.

The main issue was the dormitory had no soundproofing which made it quite loud (only if there were loud guests), as well as quite light throughout the night as it only has a thin curtain, and the top bunk has an open roof.

I really liked this place! the location was good, close to a lot of different shops and places to eat. from the sapporo station, its about 3-4 stops with the metro line, which cost us 210 yen one way, so getting there was quite easy and cheap as well. The staff was really nice as well, i had quite a long conversation with some of the staff, where i got good recommendations for where to eat, and other places in sapporo and hokkaido we could check out. all in all i really recommend for people traveling alone or with friends!

You kind of hear everything everyone does, whenever someone leaves etc, but as it is a capsule hotel style, that is to be expected. still a 10/10 stay!

Value is really good for a more private bed compared to other hostels. Felt almost like having a private room.

- Switch to turn on lights for bed were at the end of the bed. Would be nice if there was a switch at the entry. - shower stalls were pretty thin. I weigh about 78kg, which is average for my height, but it felt pretty cramped when taking a shower.

Location-wise, it's amazing for the price. It's in the heart of Susukino, so while I'm not a person who stays out late, if you're the bar-hopping to night owl type, this'll work. There is also a very spacious common area where you can stay to eat and drink a bit, and also to work like i did.

Even for capsule hotel standards, this was a little cramped for my liking - so if you're a big person then limit your expectation :)

Our small private room has 3 double beds & 1 single bed to fit 7 of us! We enjoyed chilling out at their common lounge area every single day. The staff was helpful in booking a buffet lunch reservation for our group. Love the fact that the place is very well maintained & located near the busy tourist area.

Very quiet when we were there and a nice common area to relax in. All in all a great stay! We walked almost everywhere, so a good location inside the city as well

The SleepingPod gets very hot and there is no good way of airing it. We tried with an open curtain but that doesn't seem like a good solution when the Theatel is fully booked.
