The room size was bigger than most hotels i stayed in Tokyo, i really enjoyed the extra space they have. The room is very clean, spacious space. The owner is nice. The location is very close just right around the corner from Yanaka Ginza.

There is a curfew for you to be back by 10:00 at nigh. Otherwise you will need to remember the code for the garage door.

Really, really loved our stay here. The place was very clean, comfortable, and perfect for our trip. We slept really well on the futons. We loved staying in Yanaka :) Close to Nippori station, which made access to any part of the city really easy. The area was so beautiful, quaint, and lovely to come back to after a day trekking around the busier parts of Tokyo. I would recommend and love to come back to stay here in the future.

Small updates could be made to the rooms…ie: lighting. The overhead light was a really harsh fluorescent, and those lights always make me feel really blah 😑. They had a separate lamp to use, but in order to really see anything you had to turn on the bright overhead. Something warmer would make a big difference.

The hotel is in a peaceful and residential area in Kyoto. Nearby is the shopping street Yanaka Ginza and the Asakura Museum of Sculpture which I enjoyed. 7/11 is conveniently located across the street. The room itself was neat and clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything you’d need was provided for: soap, towels, hair dryer, bathrobe, slippers, extension cord, water cooker and even a mini fridge. The couple who run the hotel are very kind and helpful. They helped me with the luggage delivery service to my next destination which I really appreciated.

Located in quiet neighboirhood very close to the JR Yamanote (Nippori Station, very close to Ueno, Akiba). The style of room feels very authentic for those who would like to live in ryokan during trip + its clean and comfortable with enough place.

No power outlet near mirror for easier hair dry and laundromats require detergent (not auto) it is free on reception, but not everytime possible to catch someone.

Prompt, friendly service. Comfortable (single) futon & all the basics provided in a very clean, tidy & quiet tatami room. Fantastic location near the walking streets of the wonderful Yanaka neighbourhood & walking distance to Nippori & Nishi-Nippori stations.

As it is a Ryokan, Shoji (traditional paper screen) replaces curtains or a blind at the single window, so bear this in mind. I didn't mind waking up early but some might!

I LOVED THIS HOTEL! The couple who managed it were great and so friendly! They knew English and explained everything so well, and I even got a Tokyo Guide and a map of the Nippori area from them. Everything was clean and they had a washing machine as well (which I didn’t get around to using). My room had an electric kettle, AC, hairdryer, yukata and towels.

I loved everything, there was nothing wrong.

Highly recommended — this is an unpretentious but quiet, clean, and comfortable place to stay. The simplicity of the rooms is a plus, the bathroom (while small) is clean and modern with a good shower. The single room is bigger and brighter than it looks in the photos, I travelled with a lot of luggage and there was space to store everything away without clutter. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good as breakfast options in the area are not great — again, it’s simple and straightforward, but it’s made freshly by the staff when you sit down, and is very reasonably priced. The area has many places to eat for lunch and dinner, and the metro station is a 2 minute walk from the ryokan.

The location is perfect. Everything needed is nearby, and there’s a lot to check out. The beds were extremely comfortable, and there were many outlets available to charge all of our devices. The bathroom was very nice and spacious.

The window shades could be slightly darker, the bright light of the parking lot next door shines in and it’s impossible to block fully. But it’s still dark enough to sleep and the window quality is superb

This place is fantastic! Only 2 mins walk from Sendagi station ( subway) and 10 mins walk from Nippori ( JR line), there are two supermarkets nearby. The restaurants nearby required booking in advanced, that’s why I got sushi and bento from 7-11 across the ryokan. There’s a great place for breakfast that I go almost daily- coffee chi-zu, you can get a set for 600 Yen in weekday, great deal in the area. Also, the fish restaurant nearby is also worth going. The host is very responsive to my request, since the tatami mat is hard for me, so they gave me extra mat so I can sleep tight at night :) Definitely will come back again! Thank you!

The owners are nice and helpful！They speak very good English. The room is quiet clean. Washer and dryer are low cost. a subway station is 4 minutes away.

It's far from all the tourists places. The subway to and from the city during rush hours are super crowded. Only few restaurants on that street. But there's Family Mart and Lawson and local market nearby. If you plan to go to Nippori station and take the skyliner to airport, the walk with big luggage is a little challenging.
