I loved this little groovy boutique hotel right in the middle of the Asakusa neighbourhood. It was the perfect base for my first trip to Japan. It had a great feel about it and was so cosy, safe, quiet, comfortable, affordable and well located being on the Ginza subway line and easy to get to by train ftom the airport. The rooms are modern with a big window, a kettle, fridge, TV, pjs and all bathroom amenities including toothbrush, showercap, razor and skin products. They were happy for me to drop my luggage off early and even provided umbrellas to use. There is a Family Mart right next door and lots of great small restaurants on the door step. You also literally walk out the door and in 100m is the Senso-ji temple. So great to explore late at night and early morning. I'm so glad I chose this hotel and so glad I chose to stay in Asakusa. Will definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heart beat.

A gem of a hotel! It is in a lovely location - close to Senso-ji temple - and many bars and restaurants. The beds were super comfortable - we had a shared bathroom, but assigned your own shower and there are several toilets so it was never crowded. The breakfast was very yummy as well - 3 options including a traditional Japanese breakfast. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. There are bikes you can use as well which was a great way to explore the area. Luggage drop off is also allowed.

The room had a modern aesthetic and was easy to use. (I really liked their shampoo and conditioner as a side note) the staff were really friendly and the location is right near Sensoji temple. They provided pajamas which were also really comfortable. Basically the sort of place that goes above and beyond to ensure you have a lovely experience!

We loved everything! The room (double suite with terrace) was so gorgeous with an amazing bathroom. Everything was thought of even down to the quality of the products provided. We used the bikes twice for some great rides around Asakusa and Ueno which was a lovely break from trains. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Having to leave!

This was a great location, very close to a beautiful shrine. The staff were very friendly and so accommodating with good English to help us. The room was spacious, clean & trendy! There was free bicycle use & nothing was too much trouble!

Nothing! This was our5th place to stay and our favourite accommodation so far!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Asakusa Kokono Club Hotel. We stayed in the Suite with Skytree View and definitely enjoyed the room. It was very spacious and clean and with great large windows for tons of light. There is a large bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. Views of the sky tree are from the bathroom window by the soaking tub. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is close to Senso-ji Temple and also coffee shops in the area (I’d recommend Fuglen Asakusa). There’s also a small sushi shop around the corner that we enjoyed as well (Oshiyama). It isn’t too far from transit although I did take the taxi for convenience for when we had to transport luggage.

This hotel is a real gem. Our king room (Room 901) was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. It had so many nice touches — great in-room coffee; complimentary beverages in the mini-fridge; comfortable pajamas; an array of toiletries; and delightful made-to-order breakfasts included in the reasonable price. Staff members were all friendly and helpful. One helped us ship our luggage ahead from the front desk. We had a wonderful view, with Senso-ji visible from our narrow balcony. We also loved the location in fascinating Asakusa. We were an easy walk from two train stations, including the one with a direct line to Nikko and an office that sells Nikko tickets and passes. The hotel is near all kinds of sights and businesses, with a convenience store a few steps from the front door. When the weather turned unexpectedly cold, we were able to pick up some Heattech shirts at the neighborhood Uniqlo. We also enjoyed seeing Senso-ji at night, and strolling along the river among the cherry blossoms.

I don’t know if it’s like this in all rooms, but the bathroom door was entirely frosted glass and sat directly in front of the toilet, making privacy less than ideal. The breakfast was wonderful but too big to finish. We felt bad wasting food.

This hotel ticks every box! From check-in to check-out everything was excellent. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The room was a great size and very comfortable. Complimentary traditional Japanese pyjamas are supplied in the room and available to purchase at reception which was a nice touch. The breakfast was fantastic with a choice of traditional Japanese or Western (I tried both) and it was cooked to order by a very friendly chef. The room was cleaned each day and was always spotless. The hotel is located in a very interesting area and not too far from a subway station.

Nothing!

Super friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the terrific city location were the highlights. It is difficult to find affordable accommodations in Tokyo when traveling with smaller kids and yet not wanting to book to separate rooms. Kokono Club had a terrific room that slept four of us very comfortably and a great rate. We found that the neighborhood had so much to do and see. The shopping for everything from art to zany knick knacks, the restaurants, and the nighttime buzzy atmosphere were very appealing.

The bathroom was small and the bathtub drained slowly. The breakfast was a little haphazard but was served by a lovely staff and had fresh fruit.

The Asakusa neighborhood was perfect -- quite streets but with quick access to restaurants, the subway, the local temple. The room was clean, with comfortable beds. I was a bit concerned about the shared bathroom facilities but they were exceptional - each room had it's own separate shower room, the toilet area was clean and private and the shared sink area was immaculate.

We didn't understand how breakfast worked -- you had to notify them the day before of when you wanted breakfast, but that was likely our fault as we didn't read the check-in instructions closely. Not a problem for us as we were out early every morning.
