Great place, stayed at the start of our visit to Japan and staying last night again b4 leaving, that have kept a case for us for a week whilst we travel. Location is superb, Asakusa is lovely area to stay, lots of small bars/ eateries. The hotel is right at the heart yet nice and quiet, perfect. Whole hotel is non smoking, and our unit had a very small kitchen including a washer dryer, also its own small bathroom. Japanese rooms are generally not big so relatively speaking this was ok. It’s not too far from Asakusa metro so easy to get about, and there’s a direct train from Haneda airport which helps. Staff also very pleasant. Top travel tips use google maps to plan transport, seems very good for Japan - we have been using Klook app to book trains outside of Tokyo, just remember to book by segment rather than whole journey if it’s a long one- download an IC card into your wallet, we used Suica, on an iPhone in the wallet hit + then travel cards and find Suica. You can then top up regularly from Apple Pay, and it is used to tap in and out with the phone each time you take a tube journey rather than buying a ticket each time, also used on buses, having said that, buying a ticket is pretty easy at the machines if you have cash, and the airport train to Asakusa allowed a uk debit card to be used.

From the moment we arrived, B:CONTE Asakusa felt like a well-kept apartment in the heart of Tokyo. The location is unbeatable—mere minutes from Senso-ji Temple, subway access, and a wide array of shops, eateries, and convenience stores. Our room was remarkably spacious for Tokyo standards, equipped with a kitchenette, washer/dryer combo, and modern amenities that allowed us to cook light meals and keep our luggage fresh throughout a week’s stay. The bed was comfy, and everything was clean and thoughtfully equipped. A highlight was the fantastic team on site—friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful, even coordinating pre-arrival assistance. Though we stayed near street level, noise was minimal, especially after 10 PM; some guests suggest specifying a higher floor if you’re especially sensitive to outside sounds. Altogether, excellent value for money—if you’re looking for a practical, cozy and convenient base in Tokyo, B:CONTE Asakusa ticks all the boxes.

The staff, while not the best at speaking English understood us perfectly and did more than what they needed to do. They were very eager to help us out with things like directions to some popular places. They're very nice and can help you out with things like the metro. The rooms were clean and held pretty high quality amenities, including bathrobes, slippers, a bidet, and some pretty comfortable beddings. The room had a microwave as well as a washing machine. There were additional complimentary accessories, such as drip coffee, combs, toothbrushes, towels and maps in the lobby.

No complimentary breakfast (or eating at all). Understandable, as the actual floorspace isn't too big and the location, Asakusa already has very good places to eat.

Just loved this quieter location in Asakusa from which to explore Tokyo for a 5 night/4 day stay. We were expecting the room to feel smaller than it did, given many online reviews about Japanese hotels. Having the kitchen facilities was so great - to be able to eat in when we were tired, or just enjoy a simple breakfast. A washer and dryer was also much appreciated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean facilities.

Strange that they give you coffee pods for your first night, but then you have to pay 100 Y for each one thereon. I think for a 5 night stay coffee pods should be provided. It's not the money, but the principle.

Wonderful location and kind, helpful staff. Having a small kitchenette, dishes, and a free in-unit washing machine made our stay convenient and easy. The location is right within the historic and exciting area of Asakusa, meaning there is a great deal right at your doorstep. You can walk to at least two metro lines (Ginza and Oedo, 15 mins to the latter)

We experienced some small challenges with the cleaning service including a disruption when the ‘do not disturb’ sign was up. There is limited space to sit in the room so we found ourselves eating on the bed more often than we would have liked. This is a bit par for the course with the small rooms in Tokyo, so somewhat understandable even if uncomfortable. It would be nice to have bedside tables/ledges in the room and more hooks, given the tight space.

Everything! From check-in to check-out the staff was exceptional. Kind, caring, considerate - offering local recommendations when asked and lots of nice little extras at the front desk. The rooms are SILENT. Our heart initially sank when we realized we were right next to the elevator (worried about noise and sleep ahead of long international travel) but the soundproofing of the rooms is so well done. We didn't hear anything but dead quiet from our bedroom suite. The mattress, pillows, linens, etc. were extremely luxurious-feeling and comfortable. Both of us have some neck / back issues and we slept so very well here. Water pressure and temperature were excellent - we particularly enjoyed very hot baths in the soaking tub. Kitchen was well-equipped and all appliances functioned as expected. The location is wonderful - I guess one of the more walkable areas in Tokyo just in terms of volume and variety of food, drink, entertainment, shopping, access to mass transit. We had a lot of good food locally and were also able to just hop on the ginza line to other neighborhoods as well. This place really took care of us. We will certainly return again.

TV in the bedroom was on the fritz. TV in the living room has a locked down OS and settings that lock-in motion blur picture settings, making movies look like TV soap operas. Neither of these things mattered enough to us to trouble the staff or waste our precious time in Japan with visits from maintenance to fix. ^.^ Based on other interactions with the hotel / staff - I'm sure they would have done their best to accommodate us if we'd asked for assistance but just not that important for us. YMMV.

This hotel is a little basic but really good value in a prime location near all the fun in Asakusa. The staff were so cheerful and helpful. The TV had English language news programs. The hotel was very honest in advance about the construction going on in the building. It didn't bother us because we were out during the hours when the workers were there.

My second floor room smelled like barbeque probably because of the restaurants on the street below. My sister had rooms on the third floor and then the fourth floor that didn't smell like barbeque. So request rooms on higher floors or in the back of the building if that smell might bother you.

We specifically chose this hotel because washing machine is already included in the room. It was very convenient for us since we often use the laundry to avoid bringing too many clothes for our trip. Also, the room is very spacious compared to the average room size of hotel rooms in Japan!

Unfortunately, not all rooms have views of the outside. While we did have a window, the view was the wall of the other building. It was hard for us to know if it was sunny or raining before leaving the hotel.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful & patient. Their customer services skills were exemplary. The location was perfect for our needs with a huge variety of places to eat plus market stalls in which to buy momentoes. plus supermarkets within a short walk. Senso-ji temple close by. The room had a nice view towards to Skytree tower. It was spotlessly clean and the addition of a kitchen with a washing machine was much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like babies every night.

I would give this hotel 10/10. There was nothing we disliked.

This is a spacious room by Tokyo standards, with a big closet and plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The kitchenette and laundry right in the room make this a great base of operations for a multi-day visit to Tokyo. The location in Asakusa is great -- close to Senso-ji Temple, close to train stations, and a very walkable area with dozens (hundreds?) of shops, restaurants, and street food stalls. It's a little bit touristy but also feels authentically local. There are as many Japanese tourists here as there are international ones. For extra fun, go to one of the many kimono rental shops and get dressed up to walk around the neighborhood. This is a popular pastime for natives and foreigners alike! This location is pretty convenient for traveling to other parts of Tokyo, and it's fun to come back to a vibrant neighborhood at the end of your touring day to grab a drink, a taiyaki or some ice cream before you call it quits for the night. The front desk staff are cordial and efficient, and they do speak English (at least plenty well enough to transact hotel business). I needed to have something sent to the hotel ahead of our check-in, and they were very helpful in accommodating that. If you should have a similar need, just note that the letter or package should include your name and also your check-in date.

My only quibble with this property is that it's cosmetically a little bit tired -- you may see peeling laminate or a burned-out light bulb. That said, it is impeccably clean and well-kept, so this is really a very minor critique of a hotel that I otherwise can't find anything to fault! One pro tip - bring along a couple of clothespins or binder clips to clip the blackout curtains together at night.
