The staff were extremely accommodating and understanding of our situation as we ran into a family emergency right from the start of the trip. they were allowed us to drop off our luggage well before check in and delivered them to the room when we got back. the room itself was well maintained and housekeeping was very helpful as well. The location was fantastic as well as it was less than a 10min walk to the shopping centres and only about 2 min from the Sen-Soji Temple!

The Gate Hotel in Asakusa is a fantastic choice, offering great convenience due to its proximity to the subway and excellent connections to central areas. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bathroom and a good selection of amenities. The breakfast buffet featured a wide variety of high-quality options.

Nothing significant to highlight—perhaps the staff could improve their English proficiency, but they are very kind and supportive. One tip: avoid bringing electric devices that require high voltage. My wife brought her Dyson from the UK, and it didn’t work because the voltage here is lower than in some other countries.

Location is good and just a short walking distance to Asakusa station, clean and very convenient. Staff are polite and smiley and feel welcome .

Just sharing ,there is no coin laundry in the hotel. Good that they have a coin laundry shop nearby, walk for about 5 mins or less. No hassle as the shop is nearby and the washing machine is available to use most of the time. There’s nothing that we don’t like . All is good

Awesome location. Really close to a couple of Subway lines with easy access to famous tourist points and attractions. One of the the most popular shrines in Tokyo, the Asakusa shrine is located just across the road. Starbucks is just next door, and lot of other eating places and restaurants all around the hotel. The hotel is close to the Ginza line and a few stops away from the Ueno station and park which is the get off point for the Zoo and a host of other museums. Another disxovery we had was that there is another line by which you can reach Akihabara which is just three stations away. We had earlier relied upon the Ginza line which took a longer route. The Tokyo skytree is also walking distance or can be reaches by the subway as well. The hotel itself is clean with great views from the lobby. The rooms on the lower floors are non smoking but don't have any views. The rooms are a bit small, but this is again expected for centrally located hotels in top cities. The staff is great and the breakfast is adequate = the options could come across as limited, but it's a pretty standard western fare. I also really liked the fact that the room had Nespresso machine with complimentary pods. Overall I would recommend the hotel both for the location and service.

This place knows what it's doing. Phenomenal. Huge room. Amazing bed. Fantastic location in a quieter part of Tokyo Asakusa. A phone power chord provided! An isolated, insulated shower & bath room, so nothing leaks! Incredible toiletries!

Not much. I guess the breakfast option is too expensive to really consider (I didn't try it so can't comment on its quality).

The hotel room was comfortable and spacious. They offered some ammenties such as a mini fridge, hairdryer, disposable razor, toothbrush with mini toothpaste, and others. The tv and wifi worked well, too. We were able to use netflix. The location was great as it is right next to Sensoji temple, 20-minute walk from Tokyo Skytree, and a 15 mins subway ride from Ueno Park. The view from the main reception was very pretty. Breakfast was very good. They were very helpful when sorting out luggage forwarding.

Furniture in the room was scuffed and had marks, though this didn't bother us. The bathroom lock was broken, but that didn't matter either. There were no other issues with the room.

The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, modern with endless hot perfect water pressure. Location is another key highlight. The hotel's proximity to Sensoji Shrine and the Asakusa subway station allows for easy connections for exploration of all top Tokyo attractions. We highly recommend!

I liked the view from the 13 & 14 floor (reception and bar). I liked the cocktails and the vibe of the bar I liked the rooms that were small but comfortable. I liked the fresh orange juice at breakfast. I liked the staff that was very friendly and helpful and English speaking !

I didn't like everybody wearing masks ! Again ! 😷🤐😵 I didn't like the quality for money ratio of breakfast. Actually I don't b recommend booking accommodation with breakfast in Japan ! The location of the hotel is not very nice, including the Asakusa train station that has no escalators and a looot of steps. So I don't understand what makes this hotel more expensive than the one in Ginza ?!

What a great place to stay in Tokyo! this hotel in Asakusa is the right choice for any person looking to stay in an area where you can still find a lot to do but is a bit away from the main buzz in Tokyo. Hotel staff was friendly enough and helped us with everything we needed, including the shipping of our luggage to the next destination. Room was way more spacious than I was expecting for Japan. Bath and shower are great! Besides this hotel is so accesible from different metro stations that makes your life very convenient when touristing in Tokyo! We had 6 nights at this hotel and would certainly recommend it!

Unfortunately, I booked a smoking room (guess was the only one available). During check in we checked if we could change, but there was none available but for an increased price. And although the room itself was not smelly, the floor definitely has a massive smoking smell to it.
