Firstly, I LOVE the location of this hotel! The location is very strategic! Its about 5 mins walking distance to ROX (small departmental store), Donquijote and Uniqlo is just behind the hotel as well as Senso-ji temple! Amazing! 7-Eleven is just 2 mins from the hotel too. There is a Family Mart, Lawson and Mr. Donut across the street. For muslims, there is Sushi Ken which is about 5 mins away, on the same block. There is also a kebab store across the street that sells scrumptious shawarma! Regretting not getting another shawarma a few days before we left. The subway locations is quite near. Those that carry more than 2 pieces of luggage, please stop at Tawaramachi station as it has a lift. Do not stop at Asakusa station! Oh, there is also a duty free pharmacy on the same block about 5 mins away. No worries about forgetting any essential basic first aid. The hotel has very attentive staff that are at the front desk 24 hours. They can converse in English very well. Checking in was a breeze and it only lasted a few minutes. However, if you plan on checking in early and the room is ready, be mindful that you may have to pay a certain fee for early check in. If you don't want to pay the fee, you can leave your luggage near the front desk and roam around Asakusa area until its time to check in. The hotel has amenities that you can take at the front desk for free. Amenities include, moisturizer, toner, body lotion, body towel, toothbrush and toothpaste, tea, coffee, etc. Basically, you can come here without bringing any toilettries with you! More room to bring home awesome Japanese skincare. Ladies, please bring your sanitary pads, though. They have a 2 in 1 washer and dryer which is very convenient and you have to pay 500 yen at any given time for both functions. Bear in mind you would have to do the laundry either bright and early which is before 6am or later around 11am to avoid the crowd as there are only 2 units of the washer and dryer.

I didn't like that housekeeping is done only 3 days once. The last few days we were there, they forgot to do housekeeping in our room. We didn't mind it much as our luggage made it difficult for cleaning to be done. Keep that in mind if you want a daily housekeeping of your room.

Excellent location, incredibly comfortable bed, fresh pyjamas every day - close to public transport. There's not much we could fault about the hotel really, we had everything we needed for a great stay.

The WiFi wasn't good but that didn't really bother us at all since we're not there to be on our phones and you're just going back to the hotel to sleep really! Rooms are definitely small but in my opinion doable and it really didn't bother us much even though we had big suitcases - you can tuck them away in corners!

We liked every aspect of this hotel. The location was just a few minutes from Asakusa Tsukuba Station which isn't JR but you could easily go to Akihabara to transfer and get to anywhere you wanted to go. You were just a few minutes walk from Sensouji Temple. Great location! The breakfast was excellent. I love curry and it was served every morning. Both Japanese and western foods were available. The coffee was excellent and I was super happy they had ice and water to fill my water bottle. The rooms were spacious for Japan and the beds were so comfortable. Coin laundry available and you didn't have to buy detergent, it was included. Staff was super nice and no language issues at all.

The only thing I would have liked was to use the water dispenser outside of breakfast hours. I went there just a few minutes after meal time was over and the staff person seemed annoyed with me. She allowed me to fill my water bottle but she wasn't too happy about it and she didn't try to hide it.

As long as you keep your expectations low, this is a great hotel to stay. Hotel Keihan Asakusa provides a clean, functional place to shower & sleep. Hotel staff were very accomodating and facilitated our check-in/check-out. The free breakfast is a definite plus, offering both Western & Japanese style items. The hotel does get busy during breakfast time, so if the dining area gets too full, you can bring the food back to your room. They even offer To-Go breakfast options for those who need to get out.

The hotel made me feel like I time traveled to the early 2000's. It was an era where there were no USB outlets and TV's had 1080p wide bezel screens. The bed creaked loudly and the aging rolling chair had many stains.

I loved everything about Hotel Keihan Asakusa. Its my go to hotel when visiting Tokyo. Its right smack in the middle of the cultural and shopping district. So convenient! I love that I do not have to bring any pyjamas as we are provided with fresh pyjamas daily! This time I checked in later in the day. I left my luggage at the front desk and it was kept safe under lock and key. Plus, they provide you with a tag that you need to give them later on to retrieve your luggage. For this visit, we weren't able to score the breakfast package but managed to check out the newly renovated restaurant. Looks very snazzy! I love it! I do not need to mention anything about the facilities or the amenities given. You can basically arrive in this hotel without a smidgen of toilettries! You can find almost toilettries at the front desk. If not, there is a pharmacy just 5 mins away from the hotel. We did something different this time where we spent the other part of our trip at another hotel. Hotel Keihan Asakusa staff was very kind to book us a cab/ taxi to get there as we had many luggage and to bring it all on our own would have been a feat! He was even kind enough to be there when the taxi arrived and communicate again our destination to the driver. He ensured our safety and left only after the taxi drove away. Customer service at its best for this hotel! Needless to say, when I come back to Tokyo, I will make sure to book a room here AGAIN.

Only one thing. The view for the twin room was horrible. We were facing a building. So, with the room being a bit small, the view made us even more claustrophobic. Other than that, nothing.

The hotel location is near to Asakusa shopping and stone throw to Asakusa Tusbuku line. The walk to Tarawamachi Ginza line is about 6-7min. The room is very small so if you are travelling with multiple luggage, it will challenging. The furniture in the room is very old. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom amenities are self service at the lobby. This hotel is recommended if you wanna explore Asakusa and Ueno area. Its walkable to Ueno, about 20 mins walk. Nean a 24 hrs DonDonki and 711.

The room size is very small. No place to open up my luggage. They used to include breakfast but this time round breakfast wasnt included. maybe because they have upgraded their meal room and added more items to the breakfast offer.

The location was just a few minutes away from the Ginza line and the Tsukaba Express in Asakusa, so it made traveling to major locations like Akihabara and Shibuya very easy, especially after a whole day of non-stop walking. The staff was really nice and helpful in explaining everything and guiding us through the check-in process, which was very swift in itself. I was traveling with my mom so we booked a queen sized room to share and to be honest, despite having 4 big luggages and two carry-ons with us, the space to organize our stuff was just enough, a bit claustraphobic and had to do some jumping over luggages yes, but still managable and not as dramatic as some reviews make it seem like. The ammenities in the room were complete: blowdryer, toiletries that you can retrieve from the counter for free, a tv and very nice slippers. The hotel also offers luggage forwarding service, where you can either fill out the form yourself (the form is offered both at the front desk and in your room) or, like in our case, ask the staff for assistance (be sure to have the adress of the next location you’re shipping into). Also there’s a 7-11 right below it, so getting some late night snacks and withdrawing money was a swift procedure. Overall, a very pleasant experience for our first time in Japan ;)

We only got a bit confused on the dates they were going to have our room cleaned and bedsheets changed so we ended up having to reorganize and tidy up our luggages twice, but nothing overly negative

Excellent location close to the train station so it was easy to reach other areas of Tokyo. Walking distance of senso-ji temple and lots of restaurants/izakayas etc. Room had everything we needed including a washing line in the bathroom! Very handy because there were queues at the driers so we couldn’t dry our clothes after washing them. The room is very small but sufficient for us as we were barely in it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The room could have been a bit cleaner, it was a bit dusty.

Reported lost bag of souvenir when I arrived, staff helped me contact the train station and reported the item for me with the description I gave them. A few days later they left a message telling me they think my item was located and told me where I need to go to collect it. Before collecting the item, staff called the train station to make sure it was at the office and left my name with the staff so all I had to do was show up with passport for my bag of souvenir.

Room small, but we manage to open our luggage and store it under the bed. I like the bathtub so much. The hotel top up our toiletries every day, change towel & Pajamas. It's really near to asakusa tsubuka line, but most of the time, we have to use the tawaramachi, which takes about 10 minutes of walking. Restaurant & convenient store just down the hotel. It's actually near donki. U can go at night since it is walking distance, maybe 5 minutes. Hotel price is quite affordable for a family. We take twins room for 2 adults and 2 children below 4 years. They provide umbrella near receptionist for inhouse guest. Great view from our room.
