Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming each time you arrived or left the hotel. The rooms were of decent size, very clean, they had cute interiors with old-fashioned decor. The beds were immensely comfortable, hotel was quiet. The area of the hotel is ideal, not noisy or busy but only a 5 min walk to Shibuya station and metro. Had all the amenities you needed for a comfortable stay. Wifi was decent, not the fastest but still good.

Option to decline cleaning each day, I didn't need fresh towels or my bed made everyday but they did it anyway.

The room is actually bigger than expected! It could fit 2 open luggage cases and still had room to walk around. The price is fantastic for the location and room size. You can access Youtube on the TV, it was nice being able to watch whatever I wanted. The staff were also very friendly and professional. The hotel is not decorated in a very modern way, however it does have a good charm to it.

The aircon was not very consistent and you cannot open the window, therefore it can get a little hot in the room. Eventually the aircon does cool down the room, just have to be a bit patient. There is also no ramp at the hotel entrance so you need to carry your luggage up, however it's only a few steps.

Very eclectic hotel with an interesting vibe. The front staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was not bad and wifi was provided.

Location was not bad, but not in the thick of Shibuya either. On a main road and somewhat difficult to get to with luggage (lots of stairs to cross the road coming from Shibuya crossing). No facilities for breakfast

Location was great, 10 min from Shibuya crossing. Plenty of food options and bars around the hotel. Night Staff, absolutely amazing!! Helped me send my suitcase to the next hotel. At 2am the person on duty spend time with me to calculate the hours exactly to ensure there is enough time for my luggage to be delivered, he measured it for me and saved me the pain of carrying it with me. Massive thank you! And on this note, having a 24h reception service is a massive bonus for me as I came across hotels that didn't. They also have a souvenir shop at the reception with beautiful and unique designs (for those last minute shoppers) as well as toiletry items (for those who forgot to get some, these were free of charge). They allowed me to leave my backpack there, on my last day, whilst I spend the morning and afternoon away and was able to pick it up early evening.

I couldn't open the windows as they were locked for safety reasons. I was at the 10th floor. This is just my personal preference to get fresh air in the room every morning and sometimes I sleep with the windows open if the weather is nice. After a shower the room and bathroom where getting a bit steamed and having the possibility to open the window would had been nice HOWEVER, after discovering the aircon my issues was partially resolved. They don't have a smoking area. The room and bathroom are not modern or too big (enough for a single person though) but considering the location, I was willing to accept it.

Very clean. Location is relatively close to Shibuya train station and subway (about 10 mins walk if you walk along big street, much less if you learn the shortcuts). Cozy atmosphere along hallway with furniture kinda looks like french style. Room is quite spacious (I have two luggage standing against the wall and there are still room to walk). I kinda like the hotel uses traditional room keys and not digital key cards as it fits the hotel theme better. Room has a kettle/humidifier combo unit, which I found very useful if you are not used to the dry weather in Japan.

The kettle takes forever to boil water as the heating element is not in the kettle, it relies on the humidifier part of the unit which looks like an inductive pad for the kettle to sit on. One other thing I don't like is not about the hotel, but urban planning around the area. Although the hotel is relatively close to train/subway station, no mater which path you take, you are required to cross at least one bridge with stairs only. There are no crosswalk to cross the street in between the hotel and the train/subway station. If you have many luggage or heavy luggage, good luck.

Very pleasant and old school hotel to stay. Mainly it is close to Shibuya but very quiet which is exactly what I am looking for. The double bed room was really cosy and I love the older furniture and wall tapestry. They really give it an old school feeling. The room was really clean and most importantly there is also a desk. Despite having four pieces of luggage the space was adequate and never felt crowded. The staff were tremendous - extremely polite, well spoken. The lobby also is really cool looking and you feel you can be sheltered inside from the surprisingly cold weather that grasped Tokyo.

The majority of the guests are quiet but for my first night I was unlucky as two individuals next to my room were up till 4am(!). The reason I mention this is that if you are a light sleeper like me, there is not much of soundproofing. Nevertheless, after they left the next day, I had a wonderful sleep. Also for first timers in Shibuya/Tokyo, it is a bit hard to find it due to the surrounding highways and if you have luggage and you want to walk from the Shibuya let's say crossing, be prepared - you have to go up and down a road bridge!

The hotel has a classic style—not very modern, but very clean—and it’s very well located, just 200 meters from Shibuya Station, from where you can get anywhere you want to go. It’s also within walking distance of Shibuya’s main tourist spots, like the famous crossing. Breakfast is not served, but there are several convenience stores (kombini) nearby where you can easily find something, and there’s also a coffee shop right on the corner. The staff was always very friendly. The room is very small, as is common throughout Japan, and the same goes for the bathroom. You do get used to it and we felt very comfortable, but it can feel a bit uncomfortable at first.

The hotel is located on an avenue that requires you to go up and down stairs via an overhead pedestrian crossing right at the hotel’s entrance. When you arrive carrying heavy luggage, this can be a bit inconvenient.

Absolutely lovely staff - it really is the little things; they were the only staff in our month long Japan trip to put our luggage up in our rooms for us (as we dropped our suitcases off in the morning before check in time). Location was amazing! If you like the lively, vibrant aspect of Tokyo, we found it to be great! Just over 5 min walk to Shibuya Station, 7/11 a few doors up, 5-10 min walk to Scramble Crossing. We also love when a hotel has 24 hour reception. I saw a lot of comments regarding the decor style but I honestly found it adorable! It was homey, sweet, cozy and was also the biggest hotel room we stayed in by far (could actually open our suitcases - if you know, you know).

The only thing that could've improved the stay was if they had a washing machine/dryer. They do have a laundry service where you pay per item but we didn't use it as we had big loads of laundry.

The staff were welcoming and professional, despite this being a casual trip for myself. Each person was courteous and helpful with any questions or concerns. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you want in a business hotel (personal bathroom, but smaller space). The location was perfect to hopping on public transit to anywhere around Tokyo from Shibuya Station.

The decor did feel a bit dated (think old England), but had a charm. It didn’t bother me though I can understand it not being everyone’s favorite choice. The main item that was troublesome was timing of the year. The AC was swapped for heat a day into an eight night stay. This caused the room to be too hot when fully dressed. Only a problem when about to leave or just returning (sweating profusely). Otherwise the late October time was amazing for exploring Tokyo (day or night).

Location! Its just 10 minutes walk to the Shibuya Station and the famouse scramble crossing and the shopping area of Shibuya. The hotel itself is in a safe area, away from all the noise, but just close enough to all the action, well connected to all the areas of Tokyo. If you dont mind some stairs climbing (which can be avoided if you learn the google maps well enough), then go for it! It was great place to stay. Change of towels and cleaning every day, without fail. Coffee in the morning. The room was big enough to have a nice dinner inside with my husband. Couple convinient stores next to the hotel, so no problem to get something to eat or any other necessary item...

Stairs. The elevators are little slow. TV with limited channels and mirror screen didnt work, although was advertised. No air con. We had to open the window, which solved the issue somewhat, but invited some noise from the street. Really small bathroom, but i still manged to enjoy my bath in the small bathtub. Had to give away the key every time we left the hotel, and then to receive it back we were asked our names every time. But it might also be a plus, because makes you feel safe. Coffee limited times only in the morning. But all in all - really worth the price, if you are on budget
