Cheap, good location and friendly staff. Check in was easy and the facilities were great for the price. Free breakfast was also a bonus

No real negatives, room was on the smaller side but I knew that when I booked and it was perfect for what we needed.

Sakura Hotel is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly helpful and we honestly had zero issues during our stay. We were there for 9 nights so we made ourselves feel right at home. Having your own room as a group with 4 people is amazing at a hostel and the beds were fairly comfy (long enough for a bunch of Canadians over 6 ft tall I might add). The location is honestly perfect and I had my doubts but the station is literally around the corner along with 5 or 6 convenience stores within a 2 minute walk. One of the best parts is that in Jimbocho there aren't alot of tourists so you really feel as if your in Japan and not tourist town. I would stay here again, great value for money.

The showers are kinda small but we are tall. The breakfast has a lot to be wanted. Just white bread, jam, and soup. Some peanut butter or even cheese options would double my satisfaction of the breakfast.

1. The location. It’s convenient to get Jinbocho station, which has 2lines- Toei Shinjyuku and Hanzomon. Also, Jinbocho is one of my favorite book towns. 2, The international atmosphere. 3, Staffs are helpful. 4, Convenience stores , drugstores and Daiso (100yen store)are nearby.

This year, the construction next door was a huge issue unfortunately. It’s hard to stay during daytime. Sometimes, I wanted to take a rest. It’s the Tokyo summer. Even sharing, it will be helpful to have the refrigerator and the microwave oven.

Everything was perfect from the very beginning; staff was very kind and always there for every doubt we could have. I was really close to the Jimbocho station and many convenience stores, pharmacies and local food restaurants. Rooms were always clean and whenever you got inside the lobby, there was always a cozy environment for everyone to enjoy and get to know new people from different places or even nice enough to hang around or even work from time to time. We even made some new friends and found people from our own country.

Nothing related to the hotel but to some guests who weren’t that careful with the shared spaces and left things at showers or sometimes water running

The atmosphere is very homey with a great balance of social and private. The showers were surprisingly great, always clean and lots of privacy. The area is very quiet and the breakfast, though simple, was just what we needed. Located close to everything in the city. The staff however were the best part. So helpful and friendly. We already miss it and will tell everyone we know to stay here in Tokyo!

The room was a bit small so we could only open our suitcases on the bed but we managed it in the end! And there was only one working laundry machine and dryer so you have to be lucky to get it.

The staff were amazing! They were very patient and friendly and were able to speak good English. The location is close to the Jimbocho station which is connected to different lines which makes tourist areas very much accessible. Take note that there are exits with elevators/escalators however the nearest exit to the station only has stairs, if you want an exit with escalator/elevator, just cross the road, it is also not too far. There were also nearby local restaurants with affordable prices, some closes early tho. Convenient stores are also close by, the closest is the Family Mart which is only a few walks away. A grocery store is also a walking distance away, but have limited selections. There are also convenient vendo machines nearby, but the hotel also has a cafe which you can order. They have free flowing iced coffee and water, even at night. For breakfast, they serve basic toast with various jam flavor and butter, soup was okay, hot coffee was good. The room was a bit small tho, if you are planning to bring luggages, but the beds and comforter was comfy enough for a restful evening. The shower is okay, serves hot water with free body wash and shampoo, but if you are taller than average asian or of bigger built, it may feel a bit too tight. They have house rules of what time you are only allowed to use the hairdryer, so the area, even if shared, is quiet. They also have an affordable self-service laundry at the basement. They also have a walking distance ABC Mart, for sneaker heads. It was a pleasant stay and would love to be back.

the staff is wonderful. they were so helpful with my questions and special needs. the beds are very comfortable with a good pillow and duvet, privacy curtains, and lots of space. Great free breakfeast of soup, toast, jam, tea and good coffee; hot and cold water access fulltime. Nice sitting area on a quiet street. near to a cheap supermarket and convenience stores, the imperial Gardens, and a metro. I loved it and will definitely stay there any time I come to Tokyo!

WiFi didn't work well in the dorm.

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel in a shared dormitory! Despite being a dormitory setup, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of privacy offered. The space is thoughtfully designed, ensuring that every guest has a sense of their own personal area. The cleanliness was impeccable — from the dormitory to the common areas, everything was spotless and well-maintained. It truly added to the comfort of my stay. The staff deserves a special mention. They were incredibly supportive and went out of their way to assist with any questions or needs I had during my visit. Their hospitality made the experience even more memorable. One of the best aspects of this hotel is its fantastic location. Being so close to the Jimbocho metro line made commuting across Tokyo incredibly convenient. Whether you're exploring iconic landmarks or hidden gems, this location is perfect for getting around the city efficiently. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo, especially if you're looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay with great amenities and accessibility.

I feel the food menu could be more diverse with additional options to cater to a wider range of tastes. Aside from that, there's nothing to complain about. I would happily recommend this place to others and hope to see an expanded menu on my next visit!

The location can’t be beat. The nearest station is Jimbocho which is less than 5 mins walk. Another station is Takebashi who’s is about 8 mins walk in the opposite direction. Plenty of convenience stores along both routes. Plenty of small restaurants- we counted Chinese, Indian, Thai in addition to the local ramen and Japanese curry eateries. Area is quiet as it’s off the main road. But there was construction going on next door during our stay. Not an issue for us because we left the hotel just when the workers start each morning and came back long after they have stopped.

Not much, it’s exactly as advertised. Breakfast is exactly toast and jam with a soup of the day. We tried it for the first day but the rest of our time, we searched out local places around the area

The room was only 4 persons, and the shower and the toilets were right next to the bedroom. The people working were nice. It was clean. Jimbocho is a good area to walk from if you want to visit neighboring places.

There’s no real bathroom, the sink is in the corridor. For breakfast, the soup always had animal products in it so I couldn’t eat it. There is no shelf in the bed so it is difficult to put your things down when you’re in the top bed. The room itself would benefit from having shelves.
