The room was very comfotable and spacious making for a pleasant stay, staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions and queries. The fact there is a 7/11 located adjacent to the property is also very convenient for getting supplies. I loved the fact that there was an Origami crane and a small rubber duck waiting in the room on check in, that was a nice cute touch to welcome guests to the hotel. The hotel is also located close to Shinkjuku train station and lots of bars and restaurants are in the area

Shinjuku is a very lively location and unfortunately there was no sound insulation on the external windows meaning that sleep would be regularly distrupted during the night by the sounds of ambulances and nightlife outside. The bathroom was also somewhat cramped relative to the size of the rest of the room

Centrally located hotels in Tokyo are generally eye-wateringly expensive . Paid £950 for two weeks in this small, single 2* room (Booking.com). Ouch! The hotel and my room were very clean. Fridge & kettle were provided; good A/C. There was a TV with mostly Japanese language programmes. The shower (attached to the half-sized bath) was basic, but was quite powerful. No in- room safe for valuables. The spaghetti-like ‘wiring’ was interesting to behold. It was very centrally located. I was on the 8th floor, which was peaceful in this very frenetic area. The young woman on reception was very kind and helpful on arrival; the two older men were also very nice and helpful. The guys spoke little English (though infinitely more than my Japanese), but this was no problem due to our liberal use of Google Translate. The room was (thoroughly) cleaned on request: I much prefer this arrangement because I find daily cleaning unnecessary & intrusive. This place reminded me of having to stay in my grandmother’s spare room: homely, but dated (the room, not my grandmother).

I stayed here previously with my family and we had returned as we enjoyed our previous stay. It is a large room, and for the price of 2 twin rooms we were able to get this room for 4 people. The location is good, and the convenience of a 7 eleven next door was great. The staff are very nice and the cleaners do a great job every day to keep the rooms fresh and clean. Our room had a washer and dryer which was convenient and which we used often to wash our kids clothes. 3 separate bedrooms were great, although we only used 2, and the kitchen and living were spacious by Japanese hotel standards. Bathroom is large, and has a wash area and bath tub.

Although we have enjoyed our time here both times, the hotel interior is dated and could use an upgrade, but this is not entirely necessary. The fact that it is clean makes up for it being a little old.

The room was fantastic but booking.com gave a discount that is only for residents of Japan, luckily I’m here on a working holiday visa & I have a residency card for the year. It was bad of booking.com to offer this discount, if I was a tourist I would have to pay a lot more. Be careful in Japan as lots of discounts are not for tourists.

The highlights of the hotel were the service and value for money. The staff were very accommodating of our requests. They received our Ta-q-bin delivered luggage without issue and were ready for us by the time we arrived. They were also comfortable receiving Amazon orders for us and holding our luggage for the day before we departed for the airport. The cleaning, if not the entire, staff definitely have a fun-quirky side. When we checked in, there were little gift ducks and handwritten notes for us! Otherwise, everything else just worked - decent rooms, reliable appliances and room features, etc. We stayed in two single rooms, which were by far the cheapest in the area (most other hotels have expensive single rooms or require at least a double room). If you're looking for value above all else, this is the place to stay!

The hotel, particularly the rooms and lobby are a bit a dated. The mattress were a little firmer and springier than we would've liked, and the bathroom is pretty small, though sufficiently functional. The location puts the hotel at the edge of Kabukicho, which can good or bad. On one hand, its a little far from the stations and attractions - at least 10m walk each way, which can be exhausting if you're carrying luggage or Donki bags. On the other, it is quieter than some other hotels we've stayed at, and is significantly better valued.

Room was great for solo traveler. For a couple it would be small. Very generous with toiletries. Front Desk were a great help and I liked all the free city maps & brochures and the location is just brilliant. I walked from Shinjuku Station, so it's doable and easy to find. Restaurants (also 24h) and cafes galore within the vicinity.

As I said, it was adequate for a solo traveler, but bathroom was tiny, also with a step to go in. When sitting on toilet, there wasn't much room, without knocking on something.

The staff were very friendly, even though most could only mostly speak Japanese. But it was easy to communicate any problems I had. The room may be small as expected but it was well equipped and comfortable enough for my stay.

It was unfortunate that my room's toilet seat malfunctioned. The spray stopped working and even after they did something to reset it, it happened again. It wasn't a really big deal, since I can wash myself in the bath.

We really liked the staff and how courteous that were to us. The place was clean, and large.

The staff had a very strict visitor guidelines which we did not know about and having our kids come visit us was tricky. Our kids stay elsewhere and we had hoped they could come for dinner with us at Shinjuku. Sometimes my kids were allowed to visit and other times it was not allowed. We learned later why as they don't want non-guest wandering around, and we LIKED that, but we just did not know before-hand that our kids may not be able to join or visit us.

Location was perfect for me and what I wanted to experience. I was never to far from food, supplies, subways.

It was close to busy night life.. so on the odd occasion I wasn’t out in it, you could hear it. But also expected when in such a busy city such as Tokyo

The staff were super friendly, and the hotel was outside the red district area and could be accessed via the main tourist road away from red district. 7-11 right next door. Had a window for natural lighting.

There are better options that cost similar, but the staff are super friendly. Not the most modern looking but the friendly staff make it feel cozy.
