Whilst this is one of their adult (sex) hotels it was excellent. Definitely don’t be put off staying . It was very quiet . We never saw another single guest. Our room was exceptionally clean . It was large with a seperate large bathroom with bathtub & toilet. The bed was comfortable . Small lounge also provided. Plenty of room. Tea & coffee facilities available. They also provide a range of hygiene & beauty products. I tried the face mask. It was lovely. The location was excellent. Close walking distance to all that Kabachiko has to offer. Also only 20 minutes walk to the main Shinjuku station . Able to leave our bags as early check in was not available . They were in our room When we returned later in the day . Would not hesitate to recommend to stay here. Just know your in the red light area . Good experience.

Being an adult hotel it is all faceless. While this didn’t bother us at all it did mean we were unable to seek assistance. However in saying this the man who was English speaking at reception did point us in the right direction. This is not a dislike just some information for people

The Hotel An is a great place to stay if you are looking to stay in Shinjuku. It has nice spacious rooms, is near the Shinjuku Chome metro and the older streets of Shinjuku with lots of good restaurants and bars. The staff looked after us and made it a great start to our Japan trip. Don’t worry about the Love thing, it’s not obvious at all.

The only thing is that there aren’t too many breakfast options in the area.

The location is very good. Very central to all the attractions,main station is only 10 minutes walk away. The hotel is secluded and in not very noisy area, yet convenient and central. I would highly recommend this place for a couple to stay. Serviced daily and plenty of extra luxuries provided. It is extremely comfortable and great value for money. The space of the hotel room is unmatched for this area. The spa bathroom and sauna with light effects are also a wonderful bonus. Best place we stayed in for a while! Hope to get back to it sometime soon.

Location, space, amenities

The room was so much better and more comfortable than I expected. In fact, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in the same price range. I was super impressed with the large shower and spa bath. The complementary coffee, facial mask, moisturiser, and other products are of great quality. The location is excellent, almost right at the centre of all the activities and restaurants. Walking distance to the Shinjuku station. The hotel staff were super efficient and friendly. Wish we were staying longer.

Hotel-An is in a great location, walking distance to many bars and restaurants in Shinjuku. The rooms are very big, and the price per night cannot be beat! It is a 'Love Hotel', meaning there are rooms available by the hour, but this did not impact our stay whatsoever. The facilities are extremely clean, our room was made daily and the beds were comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to Hotel-An

Nothing at all, we've tried a few of the hotels in this area and this was our favorite!

Great location and close to bars as well as parks etc. clean large and spacious accommodation- very over the top decor. Very quiet as sound proofed.

Did not realise it was a love hotel! People were booking for 4 hour stays coming and going. The reception area is windowed so you can see who you are talking to as they were being discreet we guess with guest arriving all hours. It even had 2 computers in reception area where people could see what rooms were available and the theme for the room - lol

We booked this hotel because the room was three times the size of the others in its price range. We were a little intrigued by the whole "Love Hotel" business but there was absolutely no cause for oncern at all. The hotel was in a decent area, close to a lot of transport, it was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and oh my word, the bath was amazing! I can't recommend it highly enough and would book again if I ever return to the area.

Not one to usually leave reviews, so trust when I do it counts. Good and bad, and... The ugly. No ugly or bad here. Small attention to detail, little things like wrapping up your phone cables for you when your room is made up. Offered free movies, including Western movies, recent releases and older. Free games hire. Also the catalogue of ... Urm, costumes if your into that. Also had some kind of packet bubble gum next to the bed. Brilliant spa bath with ambient lights, salts and oils included. Power shower was fantastic. Our room also had mood light settings at the push of a button. Generous room size. Actually, the best I've stayed in on my trip out of 3 different hotels.

It's not so much a "didn't like" but more just a good to know; If you leave the room to go venturing, you need to drop off your keys at reception in exchange for a ticket, which I had never heard of before. But it was a simple process and there is always someone at reception. The only other thing I can think to mention is that there is next to no room at the bottom of the fridge for anything if your own as it is a mini bar style. But my summary is that I wasn't sure about this place at first. But now have zero regrets and would highly recommend for both quality and location. I can't imagine any disappointment for anyone.

Larger room than generally available in the city with an especially spacious bathroom and huge flat-screen TV. Quiet given the Kabukicho location.

No need to give clean towels and robes wrapped in plastic everyday. If you understand what type of establishment you've chosen, there's nothing to dislike.

Room was spacious, very quiet and provided lots of in-room amenities. Also a lot of included amenities you can call the front desk for - Dyson blow dryer, face steamers, etc. Room was cleaned daily and amenities and mini-bad were restocked. Sauna room was perfect after a long day of walking around. A/C was very cold and easy to use. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was great, very close to Golden Gai and a 7-Eleven, which we went to daily. Don’t let the fact that it’s a “love hotel” scare you off. Yes, there are some quirks that make it very obvious it’s a love hotel, but it’s a great value for what you get.
