The room was comfy for our family. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay in Tokyo. Within 15 min walking distance to Okamachi station where we caught the train, we were also pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of restaurants, shops and market in Ueno, all within walking distance. We made use of the washing machine, drying rack, kitchenette. They were very accommodating with early check-in and extended our checkout time by an hour before we head for our flight. It was overall a very lovely stay.

One of the best hotel we have ever stayed! It is very rare to find accommodation with big room and reasonable price like this place in tokyo. The room is spacious, very clean and fully equipped. Ueno residence hotel matsumoto located at a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood, I felt very safe even when i need to go to convenient store at 2 am. You truly feel like home when you stay at this place. The location is great! 2-3 mins from 7-11 and maybe around 5 mins from the nearest station, you can also walk from or to ueno station, might take around 7~10 mins but it very easy to walk! If you arrive at narita airport, you can take train straight to ueno and walk to hotel.

It is not like that I don’t like it but i think it would be great if we can deposit the bag at the hotel after checkout but it is understandable since the room is very big so it won’t be enough place outside to put the bag and also since it is staffless, it might be dangerous because they won’t have anyone who able to look after the bag.

Spacious apartment for 4 person. Easy access to the keys from a lock box. Host provided clear instructions with video on how to locate the accomodation and access to the keys. Quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance 15 mins to many restaurants and shops in Ueno centre.

It would be better if host allow us to keep our luggage after check out at 10am. We have to drag our luggage to find a coin locker nearby.

I feel home and every inch of interaction is very well thought. There is a hand towel at the kitchen sink and bath room, shower curtain was provided to prevent from wet floor, floor met just outside the bathroom. Is a great stay, light Cooking, washing, family time after a long day. Very spacious, roomy, comfortable, strategic location!

Not a big deal but need to highlight No built in dryer facilities in the bathroom. We dried our cloths at the balcony and make do with whatever rack we could find in the property. The backlit of exit sign was too strong. Perhaps needs to dim it slightly.

Got everything you need. Feel like living in your home.

The check in time is quite late and no place to keep luggage before that time.

We are two families with childrens. It is a spacious accommodation with two floors, and there are beds, washroom, bathroom and kitchen on each floor. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. We cooked simple breakfast ourselves and children played hide and seek in the house happily. I appreciate the staff's quick response when I have got questions and sent them emails. It is an enjoyable stay.

The pillows are rather flat. Some of my family members had good sleep but some didn't. It will be better if some spare pillows could be provided so that clients can make adjustment according to individual needs.

The hotel is located in a quiet place at Ueno, near JR naka okachimachi or Shin okachimachi subway station! The room is considered big in Tokyo and can easily accommodate 4 of us with enough space to open the luggage. They have everything you need from utensils to basic amenities. I like the bath tub!

The spring mattress is too springy for us, however they have tatami so you can use that too

It was in a great area, very quiet and the beds were comfortable.

The exit sign was incredibly bright and it was like having a light on in the room all night. We appreciate they have to have the emergency exit sign but it made it hard to sleep. If it could legally be dimmed a little, that would be much better.

Location wise is convenient. Located in between okachimachi station and Ueno station. Walking distance to ameyoko shopping street. A residence hotel in quiet neighborhood. There is a halal ramen restaurant newly opened across the street. 7e and family mart nearby. Amenities complete except no place to dry shirts.

No laundry shops nearby.
