The hotel is well served by 2 nearby rail lines,particularly the Yamanote Line for Shinjuku. The room was servicable but a little cramped,staff were attentive and location is safe and has lots of interesting shops nearby,including the Takaya supermarket for excellent Bento boxes.

Having stayed at the Super Hotel in Kushiro,where breakfast was impressive,we felt underwhelmed by the Ueno one. This could be due to the lack of sufficient preparation space but also a lack of imagination and variety.

It smelled good the moment I walked into the room. Refreshing and cool room. There is no key card and room is not controlled by key card. This helped the room maintaining temperature when stepping out. Wifi internet speed was about 90-105 Mbps. No random drops. No daily router restart. The room had a kitchen island like table. Big enough for 2 people. Out of 10 plus hotels I have stayed this one got the best pillow which is available in the lobby. Room is modern and bright. There was no need to turn on the lights during the day. Room is not big. But still got space to have suitcase opened against the wall out of the way. It is not cramped. There are spaces to walk around. Overall it just feels homie and comfortable. I can stay in this room for a 30-day trip even.

Bathroom is small. There is no trash can in the bathroom. Toilet flushes like pouring water all at once around the bowl. It splashes.

Breakfasts at each different Super hotels are not the same. We stayed at two Super hotels, both have very good breakfasts. Super Hotel Ueno-Okachimachi Breakfast caters more towards international guests with more varieties of bread and cereals. Since the hotel is very convenient, we drop in and out all the time. We also use the Welcome Bar that they have just before going to dinner, a very nice complimentary for our stay.

Check-in and Check-out time is a standard in Japan at 3 PM and 10 AM. It would be a nice touch if it can be Check-In at 2 PM and Check-Out at 11AM like some hotels we stayed in. The breakfast area is a bit small compared to the number of rooms the hotel has. It could get a little crowded and you feel a bit of pressure to rush while having breakfast.

Location of the hotel is great if you’re flying to Narita as you can catch the one airport train into Ueno and go straight to accomodation without having to transfer to other trains. Ueno has lots of great food and is well serviced by the subway.

The breakfast was not particularly good for a Western diet. The elevator was slow during peak time (breakfast). The room was very cramped for opening up two suitcases.

Location was excellent, near train stations, food areas and Ueno Park, where many museums are located. The room was spacious for one person (queen-size bed) and had a decent sized desk and seat. Besides the complimentary breakfast, there were also free soft drinks / tea bags in the afternoon onwards. The desk would also keep any luggage you have with them before check-in and after check-out.

The bathroom was small (which was expected). But it was clean and the water pressure was good. There is not much space to hang clothes and only 3 hangers were provided. Also, if you choose to have your room cleaned, you cannot stay in between the times of 10am-3pm.

I was quite surprised as this felt as more of a budget hotel, but the staff was great and the venue was fine too. They use a door code that you have to insert on your hotelroom door instead of a card key. The bed was large and the room had its own table with seat and they even serve a small free breakfast. There are many museums in this neighborhood and Akihabara is close-by on walking distance. Ueno station is close to the hotel and has a direct connection with Narita airport, which was very convenient!

The place is nice but rather small and feels overcrowded quickly, perhaps a redistribution of there place would make things more accessible. As for the location, I would not book more than three days. Akihabara (electric town) and (some) museum are nice to visit and maybe even Asakusa area, but that's it unless you don't mind using the metro more often.

Room was actually pretty spacious. Probably the most soundproof room I've stayed in, in all of Japan. The bed was super comfy. The work desk was great - got a lot of work done there. Wifi was also very strong, perfect for zoom meetings. The door was a code - very secure. The staff were all amazing. They gave me trial soap and lotion and other things as a giveaway for staying, which I appreciated. I also liked the soft drink bar in the afternoons with free soft drinks. The breakfast was amazing. Not a lot of western options (just bread and cereal), but the Japanese breakfast was on point for everything I liked.

Not much. Only one little thing - I think I did find a bed bug, but I'm not sure. Might have just been a random bug, as I wasn't bitten .

The location was excellent. Few minutes walk to Okachimachi Station, Ameyokocho, 7-11, Daiso and tons of eating places & shopping! Breakfast was excellent with good variety. My favorites were the vegetable curry with rice, scrambled eggs, cereal with milk, green salad & orange juice which I ate every morning. We also enjoyed the free alcohol drinks, my favorite was the peach liquor. The front desk was very helpful and they took care of our concerns right away!

The only thing I can think of is that the elevator was very slow at the busy times, like at breakfast time. A few times we walked down the emergency stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. However, this was a very minor inconvenience.

- Very good location. There are 3 subway stations within a 10 minute walk and there is a 7 Eleven next to the hotel entrance. - Everything was super clean. - The rooms are small (like all rooms in Japan) but they have enough space for 2 big backpacks and 2 carry-on bags. - The hotel gives free beauty products to guests.

- Breakfast could be more varied as it did not have many western options. They only serve bread, omelet (not every day), yogurt and cereals. The rest of the options are Japanese breakfasts which are not for everyone.

The hotel is in a very handy but quiet (for Tokyo) location. Okachimachi station on the Yamanote line is just a block or so away, making Ueno and Akihabara basically local. This is our second stay at this hotel and having connecting rooms this time turned the compact rooms into something almost spacious (but of course they are still small). Will be our first choice on future trips.

We didn't check because it's easy to get breakfast from the 7-11 next door, but it would be great if there's an well advertised option to have the breakfast available as take-to-room boxes. If this is already possible the option wasn't obvious, so it would be an improvement.
