Japanese style bathroom (small but very functional). Clean. Friendly staff. Japanese baths in the basement floor open all night. They were happy to look after my bags pre check in and post check out with no charge.

I really had no complaints whatsoever. A little tricky to find as the sign is small and mostly Japanese. There was no view out the window. I can't complain because for the money it was excellent. I am just typing this extra sentence so it says done.

Excellent location. Close to Ueno Station (please choose the HIrokoji Exit 廣小路口). Very spacious room though the hotel was a little bit old. Huge lobby area with four big tables for you to eat / work / read / relax. Hot water available at the lobby. Good value for money. The staff let us leave our bags in the hotel because we will return one week later, so nice of them.

After checking out the public bath area, I decided not to use it. Doesn't feel as clean as that of the other hotels close by. But you can always shower in your room. Wifi may not work in your room but the staff may give you a mobile wifi box if you request it.

HIGHLY recommendable. A really nice, little hotel with rooms of very decent size for what one might expect of Japan. Top value-for-money I would say. All necessary amenities, a large and comfy bed (for one tall person). Bath facilities in the basement were decent. And the LOCATION would win anything even if the above was less positive. Smack central in the Ueno district, tons of life around, bars, restaurants and walking distance to all the Ueno park tourist places. Will definitely return.

The wifi outside the lobby was more or less non-existant - in practice there but too slow for any practical use (I would expect this to be fixed in the near future). The window was closed but a sliiightly drafty and with poor sound insulation from outside. Not a major drawback - or noise - as the room didn't face the street, but some may find this less than ideal.

Very good location close to both Keisei Ueno Station and JR Ueno Station. Many food choices at different price points. Short walk to Takeya for groceries, souvenirs, cosmetics, Daiso, etc. Pleasant staff.

The shower curtain smelled funky and there was also a bit of mold on the bathroom door lock. I went in December and the air-conditioning didn't seem to work or wasn't strong, so I had to open my window to cool my room. Wifi was also not available in the room, only in the lobby.

Very good location. Close to Ameyoko Shopping District. There is so many convenience store nearby. Also theres a Yamato Luggage Service beside the hotel.

The hotel is kinda outdated but it doesnt matter because the hotel is exceptional. The staff is accomodating and helpful.

Location. Proximity to Ueno station, which has a direct access to the airport. Also good for daily train trips. Has a variety of good restaurants in the area

Not sure why the bathroom is raised. I stayed in 2 different rooms and they are both raised. It was difficult for me due to back problems.

VERY Good location. Room was big enough. Went with my wife n 2 daugthers. Booked 2 Rooms. The rooms were comfortable.

The location was convenient but very near a super touristy area. So there were alot of people in the next street.

The staff of the hotel is really polite and helpful. Facilities provided is as written and usable.

Smoking room is reek of cigarette smoke. However, it is expected since room I order is the smoking room one.

We stayed at 2 nights, the room is medium size but it is comfortable, very good location, walking distance only to ameyoko shopping market, halal restaurant, and ueno station, the staff hotel also good and helpful.

I can hear the voice of people in the doorway coming through my room. There is no bottle of drinking water provided.
