Hotel is very nicely located 6 min from ueno station or okachimachi station and walkable distance if you're athletic to akihabara and asakusa!(20min walks) making it also very easy to come and go to narita airport using the keisei skyliner! Another benefit is the streets below from the central exit of ueno station which has lots of choices for traiditional izakayas and foods to choose from. Also they provide included int the price soft drinks fountain with water and coffee along with ice machine in the lounge area. Would definitely recommend a decent vfm choice for staying in tokyo.

The room was quite small and difficult to navigate with 2 big luggage but they provide ample space for storage beneath the bed which is nice. The bed itself is a bit on the smaller size for 2 person but it depends on the room selection.

Excellent location.Comfortable bed. Easy walk to train station, restaurants, shops and pub across the road. Room was cleaned regularly and towels changed daily. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Rooms too small for 2 adults sharing a room if travelling international with luggage. One side of the bed was on the wall so would need to climb over the other person to get in & out of bed. The bathroom door when open just about brushed up against the bed so very limited space. But for 1 adult with luggage it was very comfortable.

Stayed in September 2024, The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to help make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were immaculate and incredibly comfortable with every need in mind. We also appreciated the eco friendly initiatives implemented by the hotel. The amenties were excellent and the hotels central location made it easy to explore the city with walking distances to all major transport that you would need. Location is good,not far from Ueno station, not noisy at night time. Very thoughtful to give free ear plugs as amenities but no need to use it. There's space under bed to keep the luggages. Free soft drinks on the 2nd floor is quite generous compare to other hotels.

The cleanliness is very bothersome. The curtains in the room are very filthy. Since it's close to the bed it's literally on my face when i was on that side. 😱🤢🤮 Also, the (shared) restroom on the 2nd floor was very dirty, i had to walk back to my room instead (it's worse than restroom of the train station). The bathroom isn't comfortable, actually it's quite dangerous. Due to the very low ceiling and many edges down from it, when i was taking a shower in the bath tub my head almost hit on the edge, my hands have already hit on it many times when I was washing my hair. I'm 170 cm and my husband is 178 cm. tall, we tried to change the room and were told all the bathrooms are similar.

I like that despite the room being small, it was very clean and well maintained. I like how the hotel gave out free supplies for your own consumption / use. i also like how the hotel was at the center of Ueno and near the station. i also like that they had luggage lockers in their lobby so guests can just leave their luggages there

I didnt like how the rooms were really small and how the hotel did not provide shuttles to and from the airport. maybe thats a service they can add.

Location was convenient, less than 8 minutes walk to Ueno station (most of this time is waiting for traffic light). Comfortable stay. View was great - I could see Skytree from my room. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my luggage there on the last day after check-out. Good value for money overall! I will consider re-visiting in the future.

Although the hotel gave clean linen everyday, felt that housekeeping service was kept to the minimal - only one cleaning for 6 nights stay in my case. Room and also bathroom was a little too small as I had two suitcases. Sometimes internet connection is cut off from linking to the tv and had to link again.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Room is as small as everyone says it is but it really wasn’t a big deal for us. Bed is firm which I prefer and the bathroom, especially the shower, we thought was amazing. The bathtub is different, it’s high up with little ledges but I was able to soak for a bit after we spent some days walking. I am pretty short though, 5’1.5” inches / 156 cm. Someone taller would not be able to stretch out their legs. Location is great, I’d say it’s about in the center or close to for all or most of the stations. Plenty of restaurants, family mart across the street, 7-11 down the street and many more located all over. Ueno park was about 10 minutes away and was beautiful with the fall foliage, great for a laidback day. There was a shrine located at the park as well and I believe the zoo entrance is through the park. Staff were really great! Most of the staff knows enough English to understand and there was one staff who was fluent. My husband was dealing with jet lag and we think a new found allergy to soy (we are getting old…) so he was not feeling well. The day of the carpet cleaning for our room she cancelled it for us so we could head back to our room and they came in the next day instead. Very grateful to her for doing this, he really needed that day to rest. Luggage transfer was also not a problem. Please just make sure to have the Japanese address ready along with the phone number to where you want it transferred and they will take care of it for you.

Not much honestly. The breakfast is just bread which I thought was fine. Only other thing I’d suggest is maybe having some small fruit cups available with it.

The location of the hotel is great. Ueno station is nearby and very convenient for tourists who want to enjoy Tokyo. I loved the staff and cleaning services. I loved the fact that they had an offer to book tickets for Tokyo SkyTree. The AC/Heater worked perfectly fine, 24/7 water and free WI-Fi service, the sim card, and Wi-Fi device service at the front desk. Family Mart, Karaoke, Ameyoko Street, Ueno Park, Zoo, and Museum are at walking distance. I would definitely book again.

The rooms are small but good enough if you are gonna be out all day. The breakfast and free drinks timing is not convenient at all. Breakfast is served between 7:30-9:30 in the morning and the free soft drink machine is operational from 15:00-20:00. And only other thing that I would ask is to add a small closet in the room. Please make it more convenient.

Amazing location. Quiet surroundings but close to stations for multiple subway/train lines and an area with a lot of restaurants and stores. As for the hotel itself, the 2nd floor lounge with some free drinks is a nice touch. The Small Double Room was really small (probably not good for fitting two people) but very functional. The bed was comfortable. Full control over heater in the room. I will definitely stay here again as a solo traveler.

I stayed for two days with a not-so-expensive price and were almost satisfied for everything. Close Ueno station, about 5 minutes walk from the nearest station exit. Friendly staff speaking fluent English. Quick check in and check out. Spacious bathroom bathtub in “Tokyo standard”. Restaurants stores and convenient stores are also close to the place. Room is clean and quiet, I had really good sleep during my stay.

Check out time is a bit early for me but it seems like normal in Japan. They offer luggage storage service so it was fine.
