I like the location of this accommodation. It's only a five-minute walk to the Ginza Line and very close to Skyliner Ueno Station. The water pressure in the bathroom is also strong, hot water comes quickly, and it's quiet at night.

When checking in, I found that I still needed to pay another accommodation fee. I thought I had already paid all the fees on booking.com, so I could inform you of this in advance. Because I am from Taiwan, although I saw the announcement that the water in the bathroom is drinkable when opened, I still dare not try it. However, the hot water downstairs is only provided until two o'clock in the morning. If it can be provided 24 hours a day, It would be even better. Another problem is with booking.com. I booked a stay for seven nights and I didn’t need breakfast, but the option only had the option of having breakfast, which was a waste of money.

Staff were amazing and spoke very good English they were also extremely helpful. Location, was excellent 5 mins walk from Ueno station, which I found beneficial for day trips. Room had everything I needed but was small, as is standard in Japan. Breakfast was different every day with many selections of home baked bread and varied breakfast menu, and staff were fabulous. I would definitely stay again as this Hotel was close to a lot of must-see attractions as well within walking distance. I also loved the white cotton nightdress left on my bed in my room and changed during the week, which was a lovely touch.

Excellent location. JR Ueno Station and Keisei Ueno station are easily walkable and only minutes away, and the iconic Ameyoko shopping area is literally across the street. This hotel has a promotion where you can opt out of room cleaning services for the day and receive a free beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The hotel also offers a free beverage service during afternoon and night hours. The staff was also helpful in that they spoke English and allowed me to delay my checkout by 2 hours for 2000 yen. The complimentary breakfast was limited but decent. Although the room is small and the experience wasn't the fanciest or most robust, the hotel is perfect for travelers who will plan to go on daytrips and nighttime excursions and will only be in their rooms to sleep.

The room was small, but I was able to store my one luggage and backpack in the room without any difficulty.

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay — the staff on the reception speaks good English, everyone is extremely nice, respectful and helpful! The whole hotel is impeccably clean. Breakfast offers a decent selection of both western and Japanese foods, and foods are rotated slightly every day. What is worth mentioning is its great location close to Ueno Station, which I think makes this hotel a great choice for travelers. Not only you can get anywhere in Tokyo very quickly, but if you know the way, you can leave the hotel and sit in Shinkansen in Tokyo Station in like 20 minutes. The nearest konbini is like 20 meters; very convenient indeed! And there is not only one, but two Don Quijote stores in the walking distance, which gave me an opportunity to overpack my luggage with souvenirs. Wi-Fi was quick and stable. Soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom were really high quality and their fabric refreshener helped my clothes to stay fresh longer, which was highly appreciated in the scorching summer heat. You also can keep the luggage here if you need to leave later than the checkout is. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my stay and I would definitely stay here the next time as well!

The room is quite small, but that is to be expected in Tokyo.

Close proximity to the station, English-speaking staff, great value breakfast, free drinks. Had very comfortable stay, was assigned to a room facing the Ueno intersection but was very quiet. Area also in the quiet side of Ueno station. The open-air floor lobby is nice especially if you need to have a feel of how the outside temp would be like. I just hope they have more laundromat machines (but I think 2 units are pretty much in most hotels), a smoking room/area and they provide extra room key for the room power so you can come back to the room still air conditioned and phones still charging after you step out for a few minutes. Overall, had a great stay (even extended for a few more nights) and great value, will stay here again should my next Tokyo visit will be basing again in Ueno.

Really good little hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff who speak English and try their best to assist. Breakfast was included and pretty good - not much range but was good and a mix of hot and cold options. Nice view of the Skytree from the room. If you forgo room cleaning you can get a free drink - including beer varieties - for each day. Location was fantastic - 7/11s and Lawsons very close by. Just 2 minute walk to Ueno station or the yokicho with fantastic food.

Hard pillows took a bit of getting used to but was ok. Probably could have requested an alternative but wasn't a big issue.

Great location, close to Ueno station. They had all the toiletries you could possibly need. Our room was located on the 11th floor and we had a beautiful view of the Tokyo Skytree. There are free soft drinks at the entrance from 2pm onwards. 7/11 one minute away. We also had breakfast included; there wasn't much to choose from but overall the pastries were tasty.

The room was very small and didn't have under bed space for luggage. The pajamas provided weren't in the best conditions as they had a few holes in them, but they were clean and that's what mattered to us. Also the wall had marks on it but it's not because it isn't clean, I think it just needs to be repainted. These little things can make a difference so I would recommend the hotel to pay a little bit more attention to details :)

The Location is pretty good. Hotel is a few minutes walk from JR Lines and the city Metro. The Narita Skyliner is also in close walking distance. Loads of stores around which are open till late night. Beds are quite comfy. Shower has very good water pressure. Breakfast was functional, refreshments are available in the lobby along with basic amenities stocked in the lobby itself. Do note that this is largely a business travelers hotel, so the cleaning service is available only every third day. This includes changing out bed linen and towels.

The room is quite small. Moving around the room is a challenge with little room to open luggage. If you want to visit the restroom you need the lunge over your bed mate. You get used to it after a point, but the room definitely can't accommodate more than 2.

Guest1 was a great base to explore - close to Amayeko markets, the park, JR & Keisei Skyliner and amazing value. Loved all the extra amenities (even the matching pajamas) complementary drinks, and the breakfast was a sufficient start to the day. Staff very friendly and helpful. This was the first time staying in the Ueno area (after going skiing) and decided after reading many reviews, that Ueno was a good base to have a couple of days. I didn’t realise that it was an open air roof on each level - it did make it a little cold leaving the room. But in saying this, did not effect the room - room was cozy and warm (we went in Winter)
