I like the location of this accommodation. It's only a five-minute walk to the Ginza Line and very close to Skyliner Ueno Station. The water pressure in the bathroom is also strong, hot water comes quickly, and it's quiet at night.

When checking in, I found that I still needed to pay another accommodation fee. I thought I had already paid all the fees on booking.com, so I could inform you of this in advance. Because I am from Taiwan, although I saw the announcement that the water in the bathroom is drinkable when opened, I still dare not try it. However, the hot water downstairs is only provided until two o'clock in the morning. If it can be provided 24 hours a day, It would be even better. Another problem is with booking.com. I booked a stay for seven nights and I didn’t need breakfast, but the option only had the option of having breakfast, which was a waste of money.

Not that far from the Ueno train station, it has a Lawson and a 7/11 near by and multiple restaurants. Free breakfast comes automatically with your booking, it’s from 6:30-9:30 and it’s good. There is also free water and ice all day around (great for summer) A coffee and soda machine is there as well but that is open from 2pm till I think 2am. The price was great for the value, if you request that you don’t need room cleaning for the next day, you are given a choice between a free drink or a free cup noodles. It’s great if you are on a budget. It’s perfect if you want to explore Ueno and other nearby prefectures, it’s good for a solo traveler or even a couple.

I wish the breakfast didn’t end at 9:30am, till 10:00am would be good.

Clean! I like the little bar downstairs where you can grab ice cold water or soda during the hot summer. Breakfast was ok with some hot foods and some warm. I really like the bathroom where everything is within reach and hot/cold water exists. Water pressure was good. AC works very well to stay cool.

The rooms are small but that’s to be expected based on the price you pay. The plugs inside the room is a two prong, so make sure you bring a adapter if you’re from US. They do have one available at front desk to borrow. Make sure you don’t lose your card key or it’ll cost you 1000 yen (I ultimately found it and got my money back).

Staff were amazing and spoke very good English they were also extremely helpful. Location, was excellent 5 mins walk from Ueno station, which I found beneficial for day trips. Room had everything I needed but was small, as is standard in Japan. Breakfast was different every day with many selections of home baked bread and varied breakfast menu, and staff were fabulous. I would definitely stay again as this Hotel was close to a lot of must-see attractions as well within walking distance. I also loved the white cotton nightdress left on my bed in my room and changed during the week, which was a lovely touch.

Everything was perfect.

The hotel is truly lovely. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating- always polite, responsive, and pleasant. The rooms, bedsheets, towels, and bathrooms are spotlessly clean, with everything replenished. Breakfast was really tasty. I was too busy to watch TV, so I can’t comment on that. I treated myself to a complimentary cappuccino by the reception, which was a nice touch. If you prefer not to have your room cleaned daily, you can exchange it for some treats- an excellent win-win for both guests and staff. The location is good, quite central and close to everything.

The only downside was that it wasn’t easy for me to find the hotel initially.

Great location, short walk to the train station, close to 7-11 and nice restaurants. Quiet location. Hotel has everything we needed. Lobby smells great. Room is a decent size and they provide you with everything you need. Love the breakfast and the staff managing breakfast are so attentive, esp the oldest of the ladies. There’s free water and juice/ tea at the lobby. Upon check in they ask you what days you’d like to have your room cleaned. We asked for room cleaning every other day (we stayed for 6 days) and for each day that we skipped cleaning, they offered us free drinks/ cup noodles :) They offer free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out…

Only complaint is that it’s so hot inside the elevator (we stayed in july, sooo hot in japan).

Excellent location. JR Ueno Station and Keisei Ueno station are easily walkable and only minutes away, and the iconic Ameyoko shopping area is literally across the street. This hotel has a promotion where you can opt out of room cleaning services for the day and receive a free beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The hotel also offers a free beverage service during afternoon and night hours. The staff was also helpful in that they spoke English and allowed me to delay my checkout by 2 hours for 2000 yen. The complimentary breakfast was limited but decent. Although the room is small and the experience wasn't the fanciest or most robust, the hotel is perfect for travelers who will plan to go on daytrips and nighttime excursions and will only be in their rooms to sleep.

The room was small, but I was able to store my one luggage and backpack in the room without any difficulty.

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay — the staff on the reception speaks good English, everyone is extremely nice, respectful and helpful! The whole hotel is impeccably clean. Breakfast offers a decent selection of both western and Japanese foods, and foods are rotated slightly every day. What is worth mentioning is its great location close to Ueno Station, which I think makes this hotel a great choice for travelers. Not only you can get anywhere in Tokyo very quickly, but if you know the way, you can leave the hotel and sit in Shinkansen in Tokyo Station in like 20 minutes. The nearest konbini is like 20 meters; very convenient indeed! And there is not only one, but two Don Quijote stores in the walking distance, which gave me an opportunity to overpack my luggage with souvenirs. Wi-Fi was quick and stable. Soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom were really high quality and their fabric refreshener helped my clothes to stay fresh longer, which was highly appreciated in the scorching summer heat. You also can keep the luggage here if you need to leave later than the checkout is. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my stay and I would definitely stay here the next time as well!

The room is quite small, but that is to be expected in Tokyo.

Close proximity to the station, English-speaking staff, great value breakfast, free drinks. Had very comfortable stay, was assigned to a room facing the Ueno intersection but was very quiet. Area also in the quiet side of Ueno station. The open-air floor lobby is nice especially if you need to have a feel of how the outside temp would be like. I just hope they have more laundromat machines (but I think 2 units are pretty much in most hotels), a smoking room/area and they provide extra room key for the room power so you can come back to the room still air conditioned and phones still charging after you step out for a few minutes. Overall, had a great stay (even extended for a few more nights) and great value, will stay here again should my next Tokyo visit will be basing again in Ueno.
