The location is excellent, near the Ueno station with great connection to subway and rail lines. Breakfast was good, offering plenty of choices, though a bit expensive at almost 2000 yen per person. In some places nearby you can have a decent breakfast for one person at 1000 yen. Cleanliness of the room was spotless and the hotel had an overall pleasant atmosphere.

The room itself was rather small, with the bed tied to the window wall which made going on and off the bed a bit awkward for one person. However, since we spent most of the time outside this wasn't a big issue.

The staff at this hotel are great - extremely helpful. We usually stay here at the beginning and end of our trips. This time, we were unable to get the room size we wanted at the beginning of our trip and noticed that we had booked the same size room for the end of our trip. We asked about the possibility of a larger room when we returned and the front desk assistant was able to help us reserve it. We were very pleased and delighted that we were able to get a larger, more comfortable room.

We were hoping for a bit of a larger room and would have loved a Japanese breakfast buffet.

Location was absolutely excellent. Just outside the hotel is an entrance to the subway. There is also a large footbridge that crosses in all directions and leads directly to a popular and useful station, Ueno Station, as well as another footbridge from there to the zoo and national museum. Near a lot of shopping and restaurants. Good staff who speak good English and Chinese. Decent sized rooms and bed for Japan. Everything seemed new and in good condition.

Having to wait long periods for the elevator around check-out times.

We only had an overnight stay but the staff made us very welcome and were accommodating with early storage of our bags until check in later that day. The hotel has been nicely refurbished and everything was well presented. The room was compact but generally well set up and quite a few nice touches which you don't find in many places - labelled light switches, electrical cords for phone/laptop use for instance. The location was great for Ueno station (even better when we learned to navigate the best connection from the station in the pouring rain) and rooms were nicely soundproofed (we could not hear the traffic at all). The other point to note is that the hotel is incredibly well located for the Kensei SkyLiner to Narita, JR transport and two underground lines. We usually stay around Tokyo Station or Shinjuku area but despite a longer trip to get to these areas, we really enjoyed the convenience of getting into Tokyo on the JR Shinkansen, leaving on the Kensei Skyline for Narita and having both an easy walk with luggage, less than 0.5km away.

Little not to like - probably the only thing missing was an onsen but realise that space is at a premium in locations like this.

The room was large, comfortable, and clean with a great view of the city. Exclent staff, helpfull and always smiling. Washer dryer unit located on 3 floors Location was great for what I wanted to do. Some of the top historical museums, Tokyo National Museum - Toyokan (Asian Gallery) 東京国立博物館 東洋館, and other museums, near by and also Sensō-ji 浅草寺 and stores Also shopping and eating nearby hotel Everything else... well, it's tokyo. You have 4 train 5 min walk away at your disposal to go anywhere directly Straight shot to and from the airport, if you choose the right line

Hummmmm i guess the only thing would be maybe second washer dryer per washer floor room Hummm also the pajama set was generic white. They should have more branded pajamas with the panda embroidered... I would have totally bought a set

Location is ideal for Ueno transport hub. Please note that if you are using the JR Line Narita Express as you have a JR Railpass, it does not have a pickup in Ueno. Instead you use the Kensei Line Narita Skyliner train which is not covered under the JR railpass. Panda theme floors are cute if you like that sort of thing.

It only has 2 lifts, so during busy times, you may wait a little. Breakfast was pretty basic so there are better options in the station.

-Good location, right next to a station entry/exit point (Gate number 1) for Ueno station. Family mart just across the street. -Room space was smartly designed, decent for Tokyo. -The best blackout curtains you will ever experience. Total darkness.

-Front desk is not open 24/7 which is quite odd for such a large hotel/chain -Bathroom was really depressing. Tiles and walls were ugly, bathing area was the bathtub+shower head combination but it was really narrow and the shower head was really low making it really inconvenient.

Every time I have to go to Tokyo, I choose this hotel. I stay for 5th time. It near the train station and shopping center such as Ameyoko market. The room is bigger than other hotel in the same rate. Can automatic check in and check out. The staff is very pretty and smile for me every day I come back or out. Very good.

We booked a superior twin room which turned out to be very nice. It was on the fourteenth floor with a nice view of Ueno Station and the new freeway. The bathroom was larger than normal, the beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the large room (lots of space for our luggage and ourselves!). We usually stay at this hotel when we are in Tokyo and this room was the best so far! Out the lobby door, to your left a few feet is a very convenient entrance to the subway. This hotel is very conveniently located near transportation facilities and shopping areas.

The breakfast area is also an Italian restaurant in the evening. On previous trips the breakfast buffet was geared more towards a traditional Japanese breakfast, which we enjoyed and looked forward to since we don't live in Japan. We were disappointed because this time we discovered they had changed towards a more Italian style. It was still a good breakfast, just not what we were looking forward to.

The hotel is a few mins walk from the Ueno JR and Keisei station. The Ginza line metro station is right by the entrance. There are many restaurants, cafes, and convenient stores in the neighbourhood. So, in terms of convenience, it is unbeatable. The rooms are clean and standard Japanese size. We have a choice of turning on the heat or the air con. So, it is not so hot like some other hotels that turn on their heat to an unbearable level.
