The hotel is very well located, very close to Ueno Station which takes you anywhere in Tokyo and Japan but far enough away from that area of heavy traffic and noise, in a more residential area. There are many good restaurants and convenience stores within 100m of the hotel. The staff speaks better English than the average in other hotels and is very friendly. The hotel is very clean and quiet.

The bathroom, although very clean and new, has a very fluctuating hot water pressure. For me, the fact that there is no elevator was not a problem at all, but I think it could be a considerable problem for older people.

Ideally located near ueno station (10 mins away on foot) which allows you to visit all iconic places in Tokyo without spending hours on public transports. This hotel is clean, fonctionnal and the staff is really friendly. The room is pretty small but possesses all necessary equipment for you to have a comfortable stay.

I don't really see any negative things to mention regarding this hotel other than the reception is closed from 2am to 5am, though all public transports don't run during that window so that's not really an issue in itself.

Near Ueno station, excellent location

Property not responsive to my messages. Booked 3 months ahead and have been sending messages and request be put on lowest available floor but never received anything. Checked in and got 2nd floor room. Not sure if that was the lowest available room that time or it was randomly assigned. Terrible comms from the hotel. Other than that, no other complaints. Room and bed being small is expected.

The staff was super nice and friendly. They managed to check me in hours before my check in time which is such a surprise for me. The location was quite convenient, close to the Ueno station and has lots of restaurants around.

The morning cleaning can be a bit loud because it’s an old building. If you are a morning person, there won’t be any problem. But if you are used to getting up late, make sure you have your earplug on.

strategic hotel location, near ueno station & inaricho subway station (4-5 minitus walk). Have luagage storage, need to put your room key at the counter (no problem for me). large room, 2 large single bed, fit for me, my husband & my 2 kids. The young lady at the counter also nice & sweet. Every the staff will clean my room & give new towel ☺️ also the hotel near halal food restaurant, the famous one, wagyu yakiniku panga, you must try it!

Just the staircase go to upstair queit small, only 1 luagage can bring upstair, 1 by 1. Also no problem for me ☺️

We love this place. It's clean, neat, cozy, quiet. To be in Tokyo, room had good space. The beds were so, so, so comfortable and perfect to rest after walking the whole day. It's near to Ueno station, and a great restaurants area. They have 24-hours reception. Just keep in mind the building doesn't have elevator.

I loved how close this hotel was to Ueno station. Only a 6 min walk. They also let us keep our luggage in the dining area when we had a few hours before our bullet train left and when we had to checkout. Also, the one staff member made us hot water for our ramen without us even asking. So sweet! They also cleaned our room every day.

There isn’t anything to complain about.

Location is great, short walk to Ueno train station and close to some restaurants, was able to leave luggage to collect later, after check out. Stayed on two occasions, first room was very small but the next one was a bit better.

No lift, have to carry luggage up stairs.

Great hotel that’s very comfortable. Great location near subway, larger room than I was expecting and the staff was always incredibly helpful and kind!

Fairly small size and no view from the window (other than a brick wall). Was not a problem for us as you spend most of your time out of the room exploring anyway! You have to hand your key in when you leave the property which doesn’t always feel the most safe but we have had to do this at a couple of places in Japan and seems to be the norm
