I stayed for 5 nights in this hotel! The hotel provides the essential amenities in the room already but there's also some free amenities in the lobby such as bath salts, hair ties, plastic cutlery etc which we can take 2 per day. There are also rental umbrellas by the entrance. The room is small & narrow but it is typical for Tokyo. I decided to upgrade my room to have the sofa since it was really cheap. Definitely the better option if there's 2 people staying in the room. I shared the bed with my mum, and thanks to the sofa & small table we could still eat better than if I didn't upgrade the room. There wasn't much of a view but saw the back of a Don quijote with the little mascot penguins on the building. Despite how close the hotel/room was situated to trains/traffic, the windows were pretty well sound proof. I rarely heard other guests/cleaners in other rooms either. On days where you don't want service, they hang a bag full of amenities for you (new towels, bathmats, dental kits etc) on your door. The location was pretty good, close walk to ameyoko street, other shops, cafes, and convenience stores. Its about 5-7 minute walk to Keisei Ueno/ Ueno station, but if you're taking JR line somewhere, okachimachi station is closer (about 3min walk)! Hotel itself is very easy to find & to travel to. My booking had breakfast included and you get given dated coupons to redeem at the restaurant in the lobby (Italian Tomato Café Jr.) and you can choose 1 meal from the menu daily, which includes small bowl of soup & a drink that you can refill. The meals were small but sufficient but the restaurant itself is very cramped & gets very crowded in the mornings. From memory the cafe is open from 6:30-9:30am but you can also get takeaway to your room, which i found to be the more relaxing option.

The bed & pillows were very firm so I had to ask for a different pillows as I had woken up with a stiff/sore neck. Was provided with a foam pillow which helped!

Efficient check in, can leave your bags with them before check-in and after check-out. Close to multiple metro stations, many food options around. Family mart around the corner.

Rooms are small. We only had 2 carry on bags that open in two sides and there was only enough space for us to open both side by side.

One of the rooms (303) had a strong sewage smell so perhaps you need to check where it is coming from.

The location was great. Close to few metro lines and also near to 2 JR stations. Also in close proximity to Keisei Skyliner. Furthermore, there were many restaurants and eatery in the area; izakaya, sushi, ramen, in the heart of ameyoko market. Great selection at a stone's throw. Hotel reception provides afternoon tea refreshment with nescafe capsule coffee and ice green tea which is great for the hot summer days!

The room is rather small. It would be comfortable for single stay but rather cramp for 2 pax, especially with baggages. However, this is rather standard for hotels in Tokyo and in this vicinity. The pillow is not very comfortable but bed is fine and good. Perhaps good with an additional pillow or option to provide additional pillow will be appreciated.

Only few minutes' walk from Ueno station & Keisei Ueno Station. Convenience stores are very close to the hotel (Family mart & 7-Eleven). Takeya building (Shopping center) is in walkable distance (200 m). There are 4-5 options for set breakfast. Toiletries are provided. Room is not spacious but enough for 2 people. The best thing is staffs are really care about hotel guest. We're group of 7 peoples and booked for 3 rooms. Normally my son stayed in the middle room but sometimes he run to the other 2 rooms to see his grandparents. Once the lady housekeeper saw that my kid run into the other room, she knocks the door and make sure that everything's alright. It's impressed me as a mommy that she's really care about us. Please pass my special thanks to her :)

Nothing that we don't like. We love staying at the hotel. By the way it'd be good for sustainability if the housekeeper doesn't have to change towel every day. It should be an option for hotel guest if they don't want to change it (example: hang it with the hanger if no need to change & put in on the floor if need to).

Nice that toiletries & night robe was provided. Bathroom area was good & clean. Liked breakfast vouchers at Italian Tomato & that it started 6.45 am onwards. Good for our busy schedule in limited time. Very kind and helpful of staff to hold our bags after checkout until 1 pm on day we headed back to airport for evening flight. Location in very close proximity to Ueno and Keisei Ueno stations and that was useful to us. The food alley close by is very helpful if you have a late check in and are in need of food.

I think if you order toast at the cafe with voucher, jam or butter should be included. I didn't mind paying the extra 50 yen though as it was nearing the end of our stay. The in room TV coin laundry status should be clearer as we found it always said free to use (as we understood from green rectangle) but when we checked, machines marked as free were in use.

Excellent location, and all very comfortable. The hotel is next to a really interesting area with lots of lovely restaurants and stalls selling clothes etc. The laundry was extremely useful at this stage in the holiday! The café was busy at breakfast but always cleared so that you could get a seat, and the breakfast choices were not massively exciting but the toast was perfect.

Nothing really... The room was small but that is standard in Japanese hotels.

Great location so close to train stations, restaurants and shops. Comfy bed, hot shower, and very lovely staff.

There is nothing that we didn’t like about the property, just wanted to note that the rooms are very small (nothing missing though except floor space- so well set out that there isn’t a cm of wasted space!) so think about how much luggage you have. We sent our ski bags ahead but even our clothes bag was a bit big. Also note the included breakfast is very simple and efficient (not a buffet) You choose one of four options- eg. Toast, egg sandwich, American hotdog or hot cakes and then there is tea, filter coffee or orange juice to help yourself to. Everything else you pay for- jam for your toast, a boiled egg, special coffee. No frills, but you can choose to take away.

Great staff. Even if at first they dont understand what you need, they won't rest until they satisfy your request. Breakfast isn't their strong point in terms of quantity, but it's enough. And let's be honest, my usual breakfast is just toast and coffee. Excellent location near subway, and train stations. Lots of food options at walking distance. The room was very clean and well kept. The size is small but well advertised on Booking. We were 4 (2 adults and 2 children), and we managed well the space. The windows are awesome, only in the morning when I opened them I understood how noisy the road was. Didn't hear a single car during the night. Don't know if I will ever return to Tokyo.... but if I do, I know where I will stay.

Great location, right next to Ameyoko shopping street, less than 10 min walk to either the Ueno Station or the Ueno Park. Clean rooms though very small - the standard of 3 star Tokyo. The price was right and was a good deat. There is an ice machine and vending machine for drinks on each floor. We as a group of friends booked 6 rooms and the reception kindly put 3 and 2 rooms near each one on the same floor which makes for a nicer stay. (Just one room had to stay alone in a different floor.) Thank you. Breakfast is compact, you choose between pancakes or a sandwich or a hot dog with your choice of hot or cold drink. One can ask them for a to-go pack so you can bring to enjoy yours in the park. In all, we have a pleasant stay and the price was a good deal for a Tokyo stay.

We see no parking, drop-off can be done quickly in front of the hotel.
