The superb location, it's near quite a few train stations, walking distance to the major shopping and food area. The family room is not big but it's cosy and effective for our family of 4 (with 2 teenagers).

The only thing is there's only stairs, lucky we travel light.

The location is close to a subway station. The room was so big, with all the luggage it was convenient. The beds were comfortable. Check-in was fairly easy, and the staff was communicative over messages. Our room was on the ground floor so we didn't need to carry luggage up the stairs. I was a bit concerned about being on the ground floor, but it was super quiet and no issues at all.

The room has some water damage and you can small it. It was ok for us since we were out all day. If they fix it, the room will be perfect. At night there aren't any restaurants around.

Nice hotel. Located in a very quiet place. From the metro station 2-3 minutes walk. I liked the contact-less check-in, everything was simple and clear, according to the instructions. The bed is super king size!!! :-) The room was interestingly decorated and very clean. It was nice that there was a table and chairs. Excellent Wi-Fi. Thoughtful bathroom. Upon check-out we met with the staff. A very sociable, responsive and attentive young man.

There is no such thing. But I would like to note for other travelers that access to the floors is only by stairs. We knew about it and it didn't bother us. It was nice when the employee at check-out apologized that they did not have an elevator.

Nice and big room for 4 adults. Lots of clean towels really nice. Nice serviceminded staff. Nice and calm area. Near to different sub stations. However - the only reason why might concinder not to stay there again, was that I think it is a bit to long a way to go into town. It takes 45 min with sub each way.

More space for cloth - need to live in my suitcase. There was a hint of smell of mold - think it was from a water damage in the air, but only on entrance not in the rest of the room.

The hot water. It's consistent. The layout of the room is nice, and tight space is well used. The owner tried to squeeze in as many amenities as they can. The location is good, not that faraway from the Metro, and there's a park right across which is currently covered with golden ginko leaves. There's also a maple tree with giant maple leaves, a species different from what you see in other parts of Japan.

It's stated during booking that the building does not have an elevator but it would be good to have handrails.

The location was perfect. Within walking distance from Ueno Okachimachi station, less than a minute. Ueno station and Okachimachi station were about 15mins walk. Konbini less than a minute's walk, a Life supermarket about 2-5mins walk. Coin operated laundromat 5mins walk. Restaurants within walking distance. A lovely residential area, quiet but then close to the hustle and bustle of Ameyoko.

The room was very tight! We are a family of four - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Standard family room too small, especially with luggage.

Great location between Okachimachi and Shin-Okachimachi stations, making travel easy. The place was very clean, and the man who takes care of the building came and replaced the bedding and towels multiple times during our stay. No complaints about the bathroom or shower.

I don't know what it was about the bedding, but we woke up every morning so sweaty, even though it was not hot out or in the room. No sheet, just a comforter. The place is small, and it's hard to get through if you take the table and chairs off the wall, but we made do.

Great location, safe quiet neighbourhood,short walk to closest station and food options. Comfortable accommodation, warm, everything you need, very clean. We stayed in January, family of 6 (2A, 4 teenagers) and it was perfect for us. Staff were very responsive to messages, particularly when my son left his watch behind when checking out. They offered to ship it to us at our next destination or collect on our return to Tokyo. Very thankful!

The hotel is perfectly located (although not central), 10 mins walk from the JR line and few minutes from the metro. Within 20mins walk you have the beautiful Ueno park. The area is quiet at night time (but you can hear the outside noise at sunrise). The room is not big with 2 double beds next to each other but it's perfect and comfortable to sleep in. There is a small table and chairs perfect for morning coffee. The bathroom was clean. The check in/check out was easy and straight forward. Any communication with the hotel prior to arrival was really easy and in English. This is a perfect accommodation away from the crowd but still within reach of Tokyo's sightseeing. The price advertised was the price we paid, no extra.

Please note that there is no elevator, that was not a problem for us but might be for some people. No shoes allowed (slippers provided) but there is no shoe rack to tidy your shoes away. Again not a problem for us as we always wear slippers indoors but some people might not realise that it's normal custom in Japan.

The size of the room was big and facilities were clean. The staff were friendly, being able to borrow the vacuum was very helpful. There is a park directly opposite for kids to play. Very close to the station. There was space under the beds for luggage, and plenty of hangers to hang clothes.

Nothing, this was a pleasant stay and useful base camp for travel.
