Location - not far from Akihabara or subway. The price is nice but do not expect anything spacious - the room is tiny with a shared bathroom. Very good for a sleepover but not spending much time inside. The breakfast is simple but delicious.

Since I have back problems, I was afraid of a futon bed, but in Japan it is necessary to try this style of sleeping and rooms. For me, it exceeded my expectations and the futon was very comfortable, on the contrary, it helped with my back pain. The room is about 2.5 by 2.5 meters, but this is typical for Japan. For me, it is a great experience, plus the shower, sink and toilet facilities were great. Everything was clean. Free breakfast can be ordered in advance, hot and fresh. The location is also great, about 15 minutes walk from the subway or JR station. Great price considering the location. In general, you can reach interesting places in this Akihabara district on foot. I can only recommend it. BTW self check in and check out,

Futon room was very spacious with space under the floor to store some luggage! Loved the traditional japanese style room and the showers and bathrooms were always clean. Hair dryers were provided on each floor aswell which was very nice.

Narrow stairs made it a bit difficult to get all my suitcases up. I had quite a few so I had to go up and down a few times. Not a problem for everyone but worth keeping in mind if you intend on going with lots of luggage.

10 min walk to Akihabara Station, very clean, very nice staff, self-checkin and checkout allows for flexibility, free breakfast (I recommend the tuna sandwich), comfortable beds (if you like firmer mattresses), laundry is available and cheap

rooms are on the smaller side (as advertised), limited places to just hangout and talk to people, shower can sometimes be a bit cold for a few seconds.

The breakfast was very good. I could choose one of the three sandwiches, tuna, chicken, or egg. I had a chicken sandwich and orange juice at 9:30 every morning. The location was very good. It took me less than 10 minutes to walk from this property to Asakusabashi Station. There are a Life supermarket, restaurants, 7-Elevens, and a Domino's Pizza near this inn.

I did not like futon but a Tempur-Pedic bed. It was hard for me to sleep on futon. I had a backache when I got up in the morning. I asked them to get me an extra cushion futon and they quickly brought me one.

JING HOUSE is about 15 minutes walk from Ueno or Akihabara JR train stations. Even though it's a little bit of a walk it felt very convenient. Ueno is an exciting place to go out for dinner and drinks at night and with it being so close to JING HOUSE, there is no need to worry about last train! The property is compact and simple but perfect for a traveler on a budget looking for a comfortable yet affordable place to sleep and leave their bags during the day.

The room was small, but the facilities were clean and comfortable. The bedding was clean, the room was tidy, and it was not too noisy, despite my room right next to the staircase. The breakfast was quite nice, with a freshly heated sandwich and small salad.

The stairs were narrow, so those with suitcases may find this a bit of a problem. The location was convenient to a Family Mart, but a few minutes walk farther than expected.

It was cute and the room was traditional-like. Being of tatami mats and sleeping on a futon was really comfortable and i enjoyed it.

The stair to go up were very small and that wouldn’t be such a problem if the refrigerator on the second floor wasn’t blocking the stairs. I wish they would rearrange it some different way or maybe get a smaller fridge other than that I don’t have any other comments than the free space on the third floor shower is small but thats about it.

It's relatively inexpensive for a two person room in Tokyo, and the price pretty much matches how it is. Better for a pair of young friends who don't want to sleep in the same bed and don't mind bringing toiletries to shared bathrooms. Or if you're going to class nearby which seems to be what others staying here are doing. Self check in and one metal key for the room door. Many umbrellas outside, as any hostel should have. Location is between Akihabara, Ueno, and Asakusa if you like walking. But you might overestimate how much you can walk since you'll be walking all day as a tourist. The place is very clean and decorated with Japanese things. The shower and toilet are too, and are a newer model. Blanket and air conditioner were sufficient. There were enough outlets to charge handheld devices, but not if you have camera equipment etc. Breakfast is nice and made hot to order for the first day of your stay, and you need to book a time.

Things that can be known ahead of time: the location (have to walk a lot to go anywhere, through alleys) and the beds. Mats on the floor often offer insufficient cushioning, and this place was not an exception. Thin mats in a narrow alcove that's like half a hallway. Zero walking room as in not even one step because the space between the beds has a table as soon as you open the door outwards. There is no public area because the living space in the photos is a separate rental property and therefore off-limits. You only get a narrow spiral staircase right in front of a tiny genkan. Large luggage is a struggle to bring and to open in the room. And they won't keep it for you for any time; there's no place for it.

The staff was superb, really helpful and diligent. The property was cosy and comfortable, and even though the showers and toilet were shared, they were always clean. The included breakfast was really nice for the price, and it included juice and coffee. Even though there was no lift, the Receptionist gave me a hand with my luggage.

Just to say something, there is no lift, which did not bother me, but it might make it a bit more complicated when dealing with suitcases and the rest. The room in which I stayed (corner room) was decently sized, but weirdly shaped, which made it a bit complicated to move around. Really quiet neighbour.
