Few minutes walk from the train station. And there are many buses from the train station to the attractions. Staff are excellent and always doing their best to serve. Room rate is reasonable and the public bath is a bonus. Mini mart, small restaurant and the laundromat are all in the same building.

Great location: 5 mins walk to wakayama station where buses were available to travel around the city. Room: Super spacious. cannot get this in Tokyo, Osaka or any of the other cities.
If it's even a complaint, the room is a little on the older side. From the aircon to the 2 taps faucet system.

Very convenient location, a five-minutes walk from Wakayama Station. Very friendly staff. I also liked the bento sale in the first floor, and around 4 pm you can get discounted ones.

Breakfast was OK. One of the toaster is malfunction not sure why is there . We used another one and is fine. Room size is actually bigger than I thought . I could actually open my 28 inch luggage without a problem at the end of my bed . Which most hotels in Japan budget hotel could not do. The sleeping area and guest floor corridors seems to be refurbished, so a bit better than the rest of the hotel areas.
The buidling is very old. Probably 80s style decor. The room photos on website looks much better than actual . And with better lighting in the photo than the actual room. Depends on your travel purpose. And how you go in and out. The location is very close to JR Station . That means very noisy , the track is literally right next to hotel, could see from hotel windows in close distance . The hotel reception gives out free earplugs so you can imagine the noise during train hours. But if you taking the train, the location is unbeatable . I see many solo business travellers in and out , probably for the reason of close proximity to the train station.

The room was not good as what I thought it would be from the picture.
