Room - Room size was bigger than usual. Room layout was great, I was very comfortable and there was enough space for my luggage and shopping bags. There was a balcony where you can dry your washing. Booking came with drinks, coffee, and snacks so that was a pleasant surprise! Shower area was spacious, amenities were complete + extra towels and TP. Aside from the standard electric kettle, the room had a microwave oven, and an induction cooker with all utensils - and a sink for washing - perfect for long stays. Bed and pillows were comfortable! Location - Location was ideal. I traveled alone and it was easy for me to pop back in after shopping to drop my bags off, or for a quick rest and shower before going back out in the evening. The property is on a quiet main road, and right at a crosswalk. It’s an easy 9 minute walk (600m) to the dining and shopping area around ROX, Donki, and Sensō-ji. There’s also a Family Mart across the street in case you get late night munchies. Checking in was super easy. There’s a small waiting area on the ground floor in case you arrive before 3pm. Staff was awesome! Checking out was even easier - just drop the keycard in the box. Property is very responsive on Booking .com Messaging. It’s hard to find a hotel room in Tokyo of this size and with this price. After my Booking .com discounts and Genius Rewards, this was great value for money.

Nothing!

The beds are extremely comfortable, possibly the most comfortable of all the hotels that we’ve stayed in. We also like that we were able to get two connecting rooms, one with the twin beds pushed together to essentially a king bed, and one with two twin beds slightly apart for the kids. I slept better than I had slept in any hotel. We also really love the fact that it’s right across from a Family Mart, which makes buying things like water and breakfast very convenient. The hotel provides 2 bottles of water per room per day but we drink more than that. They also provide free beer, boxed green tea, and other soft drinks in the mini fridge in the room. Another cool thing about this place is the washing machine on the first floor. It’s super efficient and can wash and dry to your time specification. There’s only one but usually there’s no one using it. Finally, the location so close to senso-ji is wonderfully convenient. It’s a must do if you stay here. Don’t skip it like we did until the last morning - it’s beautiful.

The property is a bit of a walk from the train station - about 15 mins from either of the closest ones. It doesn’t seem like a lot but if you’ve been on your feet all day it can really push you over the edge. If you take the bus it can be closer, like 4-6 mins.

The kitchenette and adjoining rooms were great for travelling as a family. Allowed us to create a family kitchen in one room, and baby supplies station in the other- and let baby nap in a different room with the door ajar for audio supervision. Being close to Asakusa tourism area- but away from the busiest hustle and bustle was refreshing. Convenience store across the road was great for collecting breakfast bits and pieces and coffee or any other snacks when we needed something quick and easy.

A little bit of a walk for the more convenient subway lines when travelling with luggage or visiting sights, but still within 5-20mins of multiple stops. No desk/table or floor-based dining space available to complement the kitchenette-meant we had to eat as a family on the white bed linens and try not to make a mess.

We love everything about this hotel. Their helpful staff, free drinks and candies, and available supplies they can offer are all amazing. The room was soooo big for a family of 5. Our room was at 801... The Asakusa area is already a place on its own and like experiencing loads of Tokyo already just going around. Will definitely come back. We are now here in Nagoya and missing this hotel. :(

excellent, the rooms are clean, and the service was generally very good—even though room cleaning and towel replacement are done every other day, not daily. As Americans, we’re used to a certain style of customer service that’s quite unique and not the global standard, so I adjusted my expectations accordingly. That said, this hotel stood out among the five hotels I stayed at during my trip across Japan—it was by far the best. A great example: I left my laundry in the washing machine and informed the staff that I would be out late. When I returned, I found they had dried and neatly folded the clothes, then placed them in my room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really appreciated. Highly recommended!

very good location, big room, comfortable, clean.

no one stays at the front desk. we needed help with luggage storage both on check in and check out days and I had to keep calling and asking for people to come, which caused us to wait and also worry about our time, etc. also wanted to use the laundry room but had some questions and there was no one at the front desk. I think such a nice pace like this one should have someone there at least during day time so that people can feel more comfortable and less stressed. we also saw many people who had the same issue, having to call and wait for someone to come, etc. I would give the hotel a 10 if we didn't have this issue.

Location was great, within walking distance to the Sensoji temple and train stations. There is a convenience store right across the street, which was great for breakfasts and late night snacking.

We loved that our room had a great view (9th floor), kitchen facilities (burner, fridge, microwave, sink) and had the shower room separate from the toilet room. We also liked having the big bed in a space separate from the twin beds and loved the ability to do laundry downstairs. The reception area was cute and even had books (I spent time reading Lonely Planet Japan while doing laundry, which took 4-5 hours!). We appreciated the slippers and toiletries provided by Stay Sakura and made regular use of the convenience store across the street for coffee! It was also a short walk to Senso-ji. The subway was a little far when carrying luggage (we flew in to Haneda and took a taxi to the hotel but flew out of Narita so took the subway there).

I think the choice of carpeting is a bit unfortunate (red and black made the room dark), and I thought we had booked a room with 2 toilets, but it worked out ok. The sofa was not comfortable at all.

Good value for the money. The staff was helpful and the room was very clean and spacious. There is a convenience store across the street and even though there's a lot of traffic, inside the room was quiet.

The location was not great, it is far from restaurants and Sensoji temple although these areas are a bus ride away. The other thing I didn't like was the checkout time (11am). There's enough time between check out and check in times to clean the room for the next guest.

We travelled to Japan from the US for our Honeymoon, it was our first time visiting the country and the first stay of our trip was at Edo no Mai. It was a wonderful first stop. The staff was lovely, kind, and very helpful. The room was nice, cozy, and clean. Maybe a little small by American hotel norms, but bigger than some of the other Japanese hotels we stayed at. They also provided sample drinks in the mini fridge at no additional cost, which was a nice small touch. The bathroom was very nice as well and had a Japanese style shower/bath combo which we enjoyed. Only downside is that the beds were on the hard side and could've been a bit more comfortable, but all in all it was great. The location is very convenient, theres a convenience store across the street (Family Mart) and it's a short walk to a train station or bus stop that you can use to get anywhere. There's a temple and a Don Quijote (department store) a short 10-15 minute walk away, and the Tokyo Skytree is the same time away by bus. Amenity rentals are available at the front desk as well (an iron for your clothes, for example) free of charge, and there's a Yamato Transport about a 5 minute walk away if you happen to be shipping your luggage to your next destination. Thank you to the staff at Edo no Mai for helping to make our Honeymoon amazing!
