The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very good at English speaking . The location is superb and very close to many city attractions.

There was no proper ramp to take big suitcases to the hotel and hotel staff did not offer help. Wanted packed breakfast as we were taking early morning flight . They could not arrange.

Location is excellent. Bed sheet is excellent too. Breakfast is ok. A lot of varieties of food to choose. It is good value for 3 stars hotel.

This hotel is old tyle Russia hotel. Too much steps in front of hotel creates problem to old people who has big&heavy luggages. Air conditioner is old style, yes very noisy. Wifi can share only with mobile not Notbook etc..

Very well situated, room with balcony and fridge 24 hours front desk

1. Generally good for 1-3 day stay for the convenient location. It's just opposite to the cathedral, a must visit of Almaty, 10 min walk to the green bazaar, with a few nice cafes and restrarants in 5-10 min walk, and also several bus lines going to tourist spots. 2. The breakfast is abundant and yummy. They don't provide bottle water in the room but there is barrelled water in the public area on each floor. So no problem with drinking water. 3. The receptionists don't speak much English (Sometimes I needed to use Google translator to talk with them) but they are all kind and helpful. 4. And the best part of this hotel is I having my beautiful memories there during my short stay. So I loved it nevertheless.

1. The room is a bit shabby and small, bathroom particularly small. But it's okay if you are the only guest in the room. 2. The rooms facing the street is noisy. Even in midnight the traffic is busy down there, and the sound-proof is not working. So you may ask for a room on the other side when you check in. 3. No kettle in the room, but you can ask for one from reception. And I hope I could have any better cup in the room. The glass cup looks like what we used 20 years back. At least please provide a coffee set. 4. The hot water in bathroom was out of service on the first night, and later got fixed on the second day. Imagine that after 8 hour flight and late evening check-in to find I couldn't take a shower :)

Good location, interesting historic building, good breakfast with large selection, fridge; staff does not speak English, but most are rather friendly

Bed extremely uncomfortable with hard springs (had the same experience in another room in this hotel 7 years ago), A/C weak and loud (even with just 25 degrees outside it could not help much), fridge rather loud, single room without balcony and without the nice view on park and mountains

The staff were polite and very helpful! The lobby and breakfast hall were beautiful. The rooms are like the pictures

It wasn’t very clean, and smelled of mold. The vent in the bathroom had a huge amount of mold/fungus growing inside of it (I have never seen something like that) and smelled very moldy.

Cool Soviet-era style and a really cool breakfast room. Good water pressure, great location.

Weak AC in summer, furniture is worse for the wear, and bed wasn’t the best. But clean enough.

Staff were wonderful assisted me and the location was great . I would appreciate staff ,,

Washroom ,,stains @ comad ,was reticulous and charging point were it wasn’t charging,,nly one plug were it keeps disconnected my charging mode,break fast was same ,,I stayed for 4 nyts
