Jacaranda was the ultimate summer vacation spot. It one hundred percent exceeded all our expectation. The hotel itself was phenomenal and so was the staff. I’d like to give special thanks to the catering staff including chef Harrison who was able to accommodate for our dietary requirements. He made sure that there was enough gluten free options for us to enjoy without any issues. Also the animation team has been lovely all throughout our stay. James took the time to teach us African dance and even offered us to perform with him during his introduction. I am honoured that he took the time to train us and allowed us to fully experience the Kenyan culture, he is an extremely talented and gifted person with a kind heart and (#bananapower). Juma made us all feel very comfortable and included us in all the activities. He’s spontaneous ideas was never short of entertainments. I’ll never forget our last day we played beach soccer (#faceplant). Amany and Ishmael both took us on beach walks to explore the beach area. They both made us laugh and ensured we all had a great time. I’ll never forget Amanys ability to always put a smile on our faces, and Ishmaels kindness (#bechiball). Let’s not forget the two lovely girls in the team, Charity and Rutha how ensured that there was never a dull moment during our stay where we did not have anything to do. They both ensured we were all comfortable and happy. Lastly, I want to say a big thank you to Suleiman, Hassan and the lovely bar lady (who’s name I cannot remember). They all made sure that we had all our beverages ready and encouraged us to try new things. I am extremely grateful for our stay. I will never forget every single person I’ve met and will forever be thankful for the warm welcome my family and I received. The Jacaranda family will forever hold a special place in my and my family’s heart.

The location is excellent - directly at the beach. The rooms are spacious. And the staff very helpful.

We had an issue with the payment. Unfortunately, we were charged twice (once with booking.com and on-side).

The location was great. Right in front of the beach. The staff was really incredible. I had to organize a small surprise party for my wife and the staff was incredibly amazing in helping it plan. Even otherwise, the rooms are neat, clean and spacious. Two issues primarily are: (1) Wifi which is not that great - since we had read reviews on this we were prepared. However it is advisable for people who need stable internet to have data packs in place, (2) our washroom shower was inconsistent. Apart from the foregoing, the location, views, staff, breakfast buffet, food overall was good and is recommended for the price.

I had a wonderful stay at Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort as a solo female traveler. The resort offers a great combination of relaxation and entertainment, making it a perfect getaway. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with excellent facilities that enhanced my stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout my visit. Special thanks to Alex, James, Divine, Grace, Emmanuel, Bahati, Mama Theresia, and Godfrey, who all made me feel very welcome and well cared for. Their friendly and professional service truly stood out. The entertainment team brought so much energy and joy to the resort. Their performances were captivating, and the daily activities they organized kept the atmosphere lively and fun. The jungle dinner was a highlight of my trip—an enchanting experience with delicious food in a beautiful setting. Overall, Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort exceeded my expectations with its warm hospitality, great entertainment, lovely rooms, and excellent facilities. I highly recommend it for solo and other travelers looking for a memorable and enjoyable beach holiday.

Lovely resort in a quiet part of Diani beach. Facilities were clean and great. The rooms were well-sized and functional with amenities provided and replenished daily. Housekeeping did an amazing job at making sure the rooms and other facilities within the resort were clean at all times. There was an onsite spa which we utilised for massages at an extra cost and that was lovely. There’s various lounging areas around including a reading nook with books, table tennis, pool table, darts etc. For those looking for a more out-of-hotel grounds experience, the hotel does partner with local groups that can arrange excursions at an extra cost - there was quite a bit on offer. The pool was on the small side so during high season it could potentially get quite busy. It is well maintained though. The resort has beach-front access and this was excellent. The resort has an entertainment team that do keep guests occupied with various activities throughout the day e.g., water polo, water aerobics, Zumba, stretches, beach volleyball etc. They also provide evening entertainment for guests post dinner which is lovely and they highly encourage guest participation which is so much much fun. A massive thank you to Maria, Juma, James and Amani for keeping us entertained and on our feet. Went for half-board and it was perfect for us. Breakfast and Dinner options were vast and catered for most. It was all buffet style so you had a choice of what you wanted. For dinners, we had a slightly different menu everyday which was good as there was variety (we stayed for 5 nights). They have Saturday Swahili Breakfast and Wednesday night jungle dinner. We checked in Saturday afternoon so missed the breakfast and it was raining on Wednesday night so couldn’t do the jungle dinner - the intended food was served and it was excellent, we were just indoors instead of outdoors for the jungle experience. Late afternoon tea was provided as well. The biggest plus for us was service!

Beach vendors can get a bit too much sometimes. They don’t give you much space to enjoy the beach as much as you’d want to. Not the hotel’s issue to be honest, one just has to be firm and consistent with their “NO” to them. Please note the hotel has security and I believe they wouldn’t mind asking the beach vendors to ease off if asked. Also due to their presence it does feel much safer and there is also a line the vendors cannot cross once you’re within the hotel grounds. Also we went during off-season so not many tourists or guests around so much easier to feel overwhelmed by the vendors. The hotel has been around for a long time so a few things may need a bit of TLC and light repair. It would go a long way in maintaining standards long term.

The location is amazing, it’s right on the beach and the last property on Diani beach (before Congo public beach) The beach is private so not subject to major crowds. Rooms are all individual with good AC and mosquito nets. Security guards do an excellent job, and will keep the beach boys away if you ask them too, although they are generally polite and not over bearing, always feels safe and secure. Staff super friendly and always wanting to help. It’s the staff that make it so special. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Rooms cleaned daily to high standard. Tuk tuks always waiting outside so a run down to shopping centres and local restaurants is easy. Local supermarkets good to stock up on drinks and snacks, fridges in rooms. Havana bar has good food and all the footie, also have super sport in lounge in hotel covering all the English leagues. Monkeys are hilarious and proper thieves. They will come in the rooms and knick stuff so be careful! The security guards are constantly chasing them away. Overall absolutely loved the place! let down only by one thing!

The wi fi is terrible! If you need decent wi fi choose somewhere else! It’s one of those systems that is totally unreliable and constantly cuts off. Really lets the place down and despite reporting it, they clearly are unable to resolve the issues. It’s ok ish in the restaurant however, but in our room useless.

The location, the rooms right by the sea and the garden. Good breakfast. Clean. Perfect view. I particularly appreciated that 2 bottles of drinking water were provided every day. Overall, a real paradise. The beach is not the iconic white sand Diani beach, for which you need to go a bit south. However it's ok, it's just perfect

I did not like that there was no gym. And the buffet dinner,. Sure there is variety, but it is cooked poorly. If u like a change, I recommend "Kongo (beach) restaurant" for lunch. They also arrange activities, which I liked. For dinner, you may want to go out or grab something at one of the good supermarkets.

It is a very good place to spend your vacation, the hotel staff is very friendly nature. This place is right next to the ocean, which is the best feature of this place.The check in time was 12 PM, but we reached Diani in the morning itself. So they allowed us to check in at 10 AM, before the time. In the end I will just say that it is a very nice and beautiful place. I and my family liked it very much.

There is nothing that one doesn't like here, but i will sat that there are very few veg category food items in breakfast.

Right on the ocean — nearly in the water. Awesome. Our oceanside room came with a small personal pool that could be swam in while watching the nearby waves. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Will come again.

The food was not the best. What they served was fine, but for the price there should be more variety in the buffett. Also they do not make fresh water for drinking available except at a cost of $4.50 per bottle—no refills. We ended up doing breakfast at the resort and then took Ubers to nearby restaurants for supper at half the cost.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The service was impeccable—our room was cleaned spotless every day, and the thoughtful touch of fresh flowers added such a nice touch. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, with plenty of space between the bungalows, offering both privacy and tranquility. We loved the lush landscaping and the chance to see local wildlife throughout the property. Security was always present, which made us feel very safe during our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others looking for a relaxing and safe getaway!

While we thoroughly enjoyed our time, we did feel that the breakfast selection, particularly the fresh fruit, could be improved. For a tropical country, we expected more variety and abundance in that area.
