The hotel is just lovely, much better than expected. The vibe is quite special, with an airy feel and nice wooden furniture, really authentic. Our room, which faced the garden, was just lovely. Other guests at the hotel were considerate and not noisy at all. Absolutely recommended for nature lovers! Not only was the garden beautiful, but you could also hear various birds, including ibises and tiny songbirds. The loud river added to the special atmosphere. It was nice just to sit and enjoy the vibe. However, for light sleepers, using earplugs might be a good idea. The hotel is within walking distance of the National Museum. On the other side, it's an easy walk to the CBD along a pleasant street. The staff were kind and helpful. However, the TV in our room was not working. We did not have breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. The hotel and the area seem safe for solo travelers, families with children, and groups. In general, it is like a peaceful oasis (even if the hotel itself is close to a highway) in an otherwise quite dusty and not always safe Nairobi. Absolutely recommended!

The rooms were very nice and comfortable, they looked newly renovated. Staying on the side with the park gives a great view, making the experience very relaxing. The showers were nice and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful through my stay!

The pool is very cold, the restaurant at the hotel is very slow

This hotel is amazing value for money. We stayed on two separate occasions, one week apart. Staff were always very helpful and welcoming. Anne at breakfast was very attentive, along with all other staff and Evan made great cocktails at the lovely bar. We were able to request more water when needed, the hotel provided an efficient and affordable laundry service, and reception staff organised taxis for us on numerous occasions when we wanted to explore areas of the city and when we needed collecting from the airport and bus stations. The grounds were very well-kept and the whole area is beautiful.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Boulevard. While the property is somewhat dated and could benefit from renovations, the rooms were impeccably clean. The staff was warm and attentive, which made our experience especially enjoyable. One drawback is that the bathroom window faces the corridor, which can occasionally result in some noise. Additionally, although the hotel’s location is convenient—just a 7-minute walk to the museum and within easy reach of both the city center and airport—the nearby expressway does contribute to some background noise.

Our stay at Hotel boulevard was very nice. We were supposed to arrive at 11pm, but instead arrived around 10 am the next day, there was no issue whatsoever to change transfer times and the driver was waiting for us at the airport on time. When we arrived around 10 am to the hotel, we thought we missed breakfast (which was included in our booking), but no they still made us omlettes and there were some other leftovers we could pick through :D The garden is lovely, we had a couple of beers there in the evening after a long day and it was perfect! We also enjoyed the pool and the road nearby didn't bother us one bit. The walk to the city center was super short and perfectly walkable!

The only negative thing I can mention is that it was way too hot in the room for me to sleep (though my friend had no issue whatsoever).

It is located in the CBD but close to the border between Westlands and the CBD. A hotel away from the chaotic part, yet very close to the city center for an easy visit. The breakfast is excellent – very complete, catering to all tastes, and of high quality. We also had the chance to have lunch and dinner there, and everything was very good – great quality at a fair price. The staff are outstanding: very friendly and extremely helpful. It's a practical hotel both for setting off on a safari and for exploring the city. I highly recommend it.

Note: this is not a full review of the hotel. At reception we were told that due to a local water/sewage issue (out of the control of the Hotel) we could not stay at the hotel for the night. They provided us with accommodation (studio apartment) to the building next door at Norfolk Towers Apartments (2min walk). They staff was nice and location was good close to the museum and the city centre, yet not far from the airport.

We were not warned in advance of the change and were not given other options -we paid for a completely different experience. Also, despite the fact that they provided a car to move between buildings, we ended up not using the bar or restaurant area. The apartment at Norfolk was good all considered, however there was some mould forming on the ceiling which is not safe.

The location, the staff, the ambience, the room, the restaurant, the food, the baggage storage facility. Everything that I was looking for as a transit hotel before my journey to Masai mara was wonderful. The check in process was smooth, the check out was more smoother. They helped with the baggage storage when I was away for 2 days at Masari mara. A special mention to their restaurant which has the best ambience and the best food. The location is in the city but the rooms towards the trees make you feel you are away from the hustle. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nairobi

Nothing to be honest

The hotel is in a good location, central and easy to get to. It is right next to the expressway but my room was at the back of the hotel so there was no noise. The restaurant is OK, Indian based food and wood fire pizzas which were nice. The breakfast is overpriced and not great though. My room was spacious and clean (2nd floor) and faced the back of the hotel where there is a (quite rapid) stream. Wifi was good and the check in process was also efficient and friendly. The hotel does seem to be used for parties and celebrations for outside guests. This I thought added a great ambience to the place however the music and partying did go on after midnight so if you're looking for quiet this might not be the place for you.

Breakfast - overpriced for what you get.

The hotel has a good location, a short walk from the National Museum and a bit longer to the city centre. The rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with necessary amenities (complimentary toiletries, coffee/tea and a safe were available in every room). The hotel serves really nice dinner buffet as well as good menu options.

We had an issue with breakfast. Our room didn’t include it, but we were told we could pay $15 per person to have breakfast at the hotel. However, despite informing the staff in the morning, we were charged a higher rate— the price for non-guests. It took the staff some time to remedy the issue, which was a bit of a nuisance, and it seemed that there was some miscommunication between the individual staff members. Eventually, the issue was resolved thanks to Pretty's helpful assistance.
