The Hotel was perfect, the greeting at the desk the room the food quality and the breakfast the staff are very good rooms kept in very good condition. The Gym facilities are very good and the pool on the upper level wow what a view from the pool amazing.

The only issue was before arriving the manager contacted me personally to apologise for the hotel was undergoing some maintenance. So had to stay first night in sister hotel the Royal Tulip. so was picked up at Airport by Hotel driver to Royal and then in morning brought to Golden Tulip Hotel. It was a little issue but all was ok sometimes this things can happen anyway got to stay in 2 hotels instead.

Breakfast - a very good selection of delicious dishes for breakfast. Room - Very comfortable and spacious.

Room WiFi - The only issue I experienced was that the WiFi connection was not consistent and I often had to go out of my room to make a phone call or to send and receive text messages. It is for this reason that I have scored facilities a 3 out of 4. The issue was brought to the attention of the management who apologies and were suprised as an upgrade of WiFi connection had apparently been recently completed. Management promised to look into it.

The rooms were lovely, the beds very comfortable! The people working there were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good too. Easy to walk to the local Broadwalk Mall and Nairobi National Museum.

The standard rooms have no view and no minibar. So pay a bit more and you will be very happy. The view over the city is worth every dime.

The staff at check-in were superb and were very accommodating to any requests. The barman on the rooftop bar was also great. The staff at the restaurant were a bit slow and a couple of the ladies were not very helpful. The hotel is well-located and we had no problem grabbing an Uber from the hotel. I would definitely upgrade to a Superior Room as the view from the room is significantly better than the non-superior rooms. They have a great gym with sauna and steam room. Breakfast was fine but more fruit options would be even better. There's a great little mall only 100m from the hotel with a good food court - it was called Broadwalk Mall. Overall, a great place to stay if you're planning on doing day trips from Nairobi.

The rooftop pool was freezing - a heated pool would have been amazing. The view from the non-superior room was awful as a big office building is only meters from the window. There was no natural light and no fridge in this type of room. We upgraded to a superior room for an extra $30 and it was well worth it.

It was my second time at this hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Since my business partner has his office down the street, it's also the perfect location for me. There is also a shopping centre with a food court around the corner. The food in the hotel is also highly recommended.

The rooftop bar closes at 11 pm. I was up quickly at 10.50pm after a long appointment. Unfortunately it was already closed.

Breakfast buffet was large and extensive with an omelet bar that was always kept busy. Enjoyed the choices for juices & fruit. Even vegetarians should be happy with the selection. Everything was labeled and that was helpful as some foods were new to us! Chef went out of his way after we complained about a grilled chicken sandwich to make us happy. They are definitely into customer service.

There is a window between the bathroom and the bed area. So if someone went into the bathroom during the night and turned on the light, then the entire bedroom area would be lit up. Poor design. The bathtub was very slippery, too. Even our friends commented about that. A grip bar is needed for safety. Tours offered by the hotel were outrageously expensive. Cheaper to user Uber and get yourself to tourist locations. Not in an area with a choice of restaurants so ended up eating at the hotel every night. The windows didn't open in our room and the temperature would start out cool and wake us during the night with warmer air...slept poorly due to this.

Golden Tulip is a nice hotel in Nairobi Westlands. The location is good and we always felt safe. The room was spacious with a great view from the window. Good breakfast, nice food at the restaurant on the 10th floor. Staff is very nice and professional

On the first night the alarm went on and woke us al at 5am in the morning, second night the phone rang for few seconds and woke us up again. Our room wasn’t checked on our second day se we had no fresh towels, shower gel, toilette roll.

Nice breakfast variety. The hotel is in a quieter part of westlands but close enough to get anywhere easily. Staff was very friendly and approachable even though i was there for only a night. Will definitely stay there again

The initial room I was given had a terrible musty smell and was inhabitable. The receptionist however changed the room immediately and I got a bigger room too.

They arranged to have their driver pick me up from and to the Nairobi Airport which I appreciated as I arrived last at night. It was worth the added cost of this service. The hotel was very clean and had many Covid era cleaning considerations in place to keep guests safe. My room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The wifi worked well in my room and throughout the rest of the hotel. I used the gym one morning and it was more than fully equipped. I was on the 9th floor so only one floor below the pool and bar area and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was over the top - far too much food for me to sample it all! Breakfast was included in my room rate. The evening meal was very good as well and I appreciated that I didn't have to find some place else to eat in the evening as I was travelling alone. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I took advantage of the on-site travel/tourist guide who kindly booked me a visit to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which is somewhere I really wanted to visit. And the driver they arranged for me was able to drop me off at the National Museum which was within walking distance of the hotel but I would have had to cross a very busy freeway so being driven there was a bonus. I felt safe there as I was travelling alone. I would highly recommend staying at the Golden Tulip.

There really wasn't anything I did not like.

The facilities and the location of the hotel were excellent. The hotel was clean and tidy and maintained an international standard. Maureen, Betty and Greg the barman were excellent hosts, always going above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and that my needs were catered for.

Everything was excellent!
