Fantastic location right next to Maastricht Markt. Reception staff have been exceptionally accommodating, friendly and always ready to assist. Breakfast was varied and delicious and served in such a beautiful space. The vibe in the hotel was always vibrant and fun, especially probably because it was carnival when I stayed. Luna from reception even helped me with the final touches on my costume. The room was spacious, clean and felt like a sanctuary even in the middle of the celebrations. It was private and quiet and the bathroom was modern and felt luxurious. Sweets and fresh baked goods ready to enjoy from reception at arrival were a beautiful surprise.

I would have loved to be able to open the curtains and look outside, they were locked for privacy on the ground floor (understandable). I loved the huge windows, but next time I’d book on the upper floor so I can see outside. There was no fridge or robes, which would have been extra nice. The toilet did not have a hand towel or hook for a hand towel and no mirror.

Very pleasant room. Beautiful interior, comfortable bed, gorgeous and spacious bathroom. The toilet and bathroom are separated, which was appreciated. Welcoming staff, that were helpful and clear in their communication. When the coffee capsules had not been replenished, they went above and beyond to sort it out. On a hot summer's day, the aircon was appreciated too. The building, finally, is very interesting and nicely decorated.

The bed didn't quite fit in the room - however large and comfortable it was, it was hard to wiggle / walk past it to get to the bathroom. Although beautifully decorated, the wall, fixtures seemed to be vulnerable to wear and tear. The bathroom tiles and grouting, for instance, already showed signs of it. Finally, it is a beautiful building, but not much information was provided on it, nor did we feel invited to explore this former monastery. It could be an extra way to make people want to stay in this beautiful hotel.

Charming atmospher and very friendly staff

We had a small double room. Which actually very small. That was ok but since it is quite small improvements could me made to optimize the smace. F.ex. - á small cabinet under the bathroom sink or á shelf above it. There where no space for touch bágs. - more clothes hangers at the clothing stand since there is no wardrope in the room - Perhaps á smaller service/Safety cabinet Station so there would be more space for gang up clothes

+ clean + modern (although in an old historic building) + very close to the center + good wi-fi + kettle and coffeemachine + friendly personnel + very modest price for such a good hotel + stylish interior which is not really important for me, but it is still great to have stylish interior in a historic building when at the same time everything is new, modern and works well.

Only a couple of really small issues, e.g. the shower system is not very easy to use.

The suite room was well worth it. Extremely spacious and the private balcony was great to eat on as well. The staff scheduled a taxi for us when we needed it as well. Location was nicely just outside the markt so everything was extremely walkable but we didn’t have all the street/party noise at nighttime.

Walls are a little thin so we could hear other people above us walking around in their room. And the rugs could have had an extra vacuum.

Amazingly beautiful quaint hotel. Staff/owners were very receptive to guest's needs. Clean environment, great breakfast. Convenient location with buses to access most parts of town. Would choose hotel monastere anytime!:)

Seems a little nitpicking, but perhaps the noisy student cafe opposite But the staff were really kind and tried to manage their noise levels to the best of their abilities. Couldn't ask for more

Perfect location near the Markt with many restaurants, bars. The hotel is a beautiful old building, and the rooms are stylish with very comfortable beds. Nespresso in the room, what do you want more! I did not hear anything from neighbouring rooms as I was expecting from being an old building. I did not have breakfast, but the restaurant looked very nice, next time I will take time to have breakfast at the hotel

Only a minor details, but the shower had 2 showerheads, the large one did not have a enough waterpressure to use it and the other one I had to hold it when showering and it was difficult not to get the bathroom very wet...The bathroom itself was spacious, very clean and stylish

The Staff were polite, friendly, flexible, helpful and accommodating of our needs. VERY happy with the staff. Excellent location near to the bus stop for the train station; old city sights, food and shopping areas. Comfortable rooms with modern decor. Our 2nd floor room was light and airy. We were there in summer (with hot days) so better to have an upper floor room so you can open the windows.

The breakfast was short on bowls and cutlery at times; the variety and volume of cereals could be improved. Otherwise a good range of hot and cold selection was available.

The room was big and had nice walk in shower. We also took advantage of the breakfast buffet that had a lot of variation like different breads with toppings of your chosing, deli meats and cheeses, eggs, sausages, bacon, yogurt, coffee, juices etc... the hotel was also in a great location right in the center of town ...

Wasn't too crazy about having carpet in the room.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Monastere in Maastricht, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made us feel right at home. The breakfast at Hotel Monastere was simply fantastic. There was a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, ranging from freshly baked pastries to a selection of hot dishes. The quality of the food was top-notch, and it was evident that the hotel takes pride in offering a memorable dining experience.

We occasionally noticed footsteps from the rooms upstairs, it was not a major disruption to our overall experience at Hotel Monastere
