The location of the hotel was perfect – very close to the station, which had good access to the airport and city centre. The room was very comfortable, including the bed and bathroom. Very good for the price and quality.

The breakfast was nice but served quite early – it was meant to be from 6:30am to 10am. We arrived at 9:15am, 45 minutes before it ended, and there was almost nothing left. They were not replenishing the food. I had to ask for more ham and cheese, and the porridge was completely gone. That was a bit disappointing, especially since we paid extra for breakfast.

Clean. Well appointed. Nice staff.

No Tea in the room. I don’t want weird green stuff, or tea made from berries. I don’t drink instant coffee. I am an English man of a certain age and I want English Breakfast Tea. It’s not hard. You can get it at the Co-op down the road.

The toilet doesn’t flushed! Also the stuff from the reception not approachable. They don’t smile, one reception lady when we check in last 10th of April around 15:30 was so moody when I said to her I want to extend the time our stay. My partner ask her to explained the rules… this lady (reception) so grumpy. The next day the supervisor knocked in our door even had a ‘Do Not Disturb signed’ I told her we had extended our stay till 15:00. The supervisor she didn’t have any information about it. Could you please trained your staffs about communications!!!! They are lack of communication skills!!!

The room itself was great - there was a cot already set up for my daughter, which was a huge help as we checked in late in the evening. The front desk mistakenly told us the cot was not there, so an employee painstakingly brought up another cot that we didn't need. Unfortunate, but great customer service. The meals were very expensive for what they were, but at least they were available when we were hungry late at night. The bathroom was fairly adequate - the provided toiletries were nice, but the shower itself could not be made warmer or colder - luckily it was an ok temperature, but would have been problematic had it been one way or the other. Overall, it was a convenient location and good experience. We were there for a family funeral, so it was good that the room was not an additional hassle or stress.

I have to say staff members Lorna (cleaning staff) Belle, Sarah, Georgina (reception) Michelle and Santan (restaurant) were all so attentive and lovely to interactive! Georgina always helped with my parking as a disabled badge holder, which was very thoughtful. The food was nice in the restaurant and Michelle often would greet me warmly and would often suggest great meals. Lorna who cleaned my room majority of the time was so lovely! I had a great stay and I would recommend anyone to stay! Great location to the shopping centre and boxpark

The hotel met all our expectations. It’s more affordable than hotels in central London and conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the train station, with direct trains to London Victoria taking around 25 minutes. We didn’t book breakfast initially, but decided to add it for the last few days of our stay—and it was well worth it. The breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of options. Overall, a great value for money and a very convenient base for visiting London.

A return trip to London costs approximately £8–£9, which was pretty much what we had planned for. The only suggestion we would make to the hotel is to consider getting slightly larger double beds—around 180 to 200 cm would be ideal.

Very nice ,clean and great big room ,breakfast amazing ,honestly ,one of the best hotels in Uk ,water and coffee free in the room ,nice bath which I loved they had ,beautiful rooms and beautiful restaurant also the location is amazing

The staff …very unfriendly ,one of the receptionist females has such a nasty attitude for no reason ,she shouldn’t be in this amazing hotel also she said that until 10.30 is open the breakfast area and when I arrived at 10 was already closed and the staff from breakfast area almost didn’t let me in ..I’ve explained that that I was misinformed .Very cold and not saying even hello the kitchen staff but David from the reception was the best .Very polite ,the hotel should carefully choose their staff as the hotel is a luxury place and people are paying good money for a night :)

We re-booked this hotel because it was so lovely!!! Classic hotel hospitality as it should be! Cleaning every day, super friendly staff!!! We were offered free coffees and delicious pastry after we had checked out and were sitting at the bar. The barman even gave us an amazing magazine!!! 5* service! Huge thanks to Lili for serving us at dinner, to Georgina (front desk) for printing out my documents and refusing to charge for that! And everybody else whose names we don't know: such a pleasure to feel welcomed and cared for! Delicious breakfast and dinner! Very nice and warm lobby. Super quiet, very good noise isolation.

Stayed for 2 nights , the room was spotless , staff were friendly especially the gent on the bar ( don’t know his name but think he was scottish ) he was great ! Couldn’t do enough for us super helpful ! Room was lovely had everything we needed . Housekeeping came in after the first night cleaned the room made the bed and re stocked everything. Only down side was other guests being loud but hotel reception moved them . Would definitely stay here again lovely hotel and central for everything in Croydon

This was such a great base to catch up with family nearby. The reception area is really welcoming and staff stored our luggage until we could check in. The room was spotless and a great size. We enjoyed a drink in the bar one evening and the atmosphere was lovely. We didn’t have breakfast but there are so many great places near by - The Breakfast Club deserves a shout out for amazing pancakes and vegan options!

Nothing but the pillows but that is just a personal preference - would stay here again next time we’re visiting our family.
