The swimming pool is awesome. Hotel reception staff are professional and friendly. The room is very well maintained and we got a lovely view of the golf course and hill. The airconditioner and hot water are great !! Oh yes, the pillows are superb, a true signature of Marriot hotels.

I came with my car on the first day. I was disappointed to know that the basement carpark does not have any elevator to the lobby when I already parked the car as informed by the concierge. I have knee pains. Didn't expect a Marriott brand hotel has no link-up lift to the lobby. Also, please place some hotel slippers in the suites as the floor is not carpeted and can be quite cold for the elderly. Don't wait for us to request for it.

The suite was spacious, and the living room was great to hold discussions in. The air-conditioning was powerful, and the Wi-Fi was fast. I appreciated the lavender provided at the lobby at night, personally. Additionally, as we ended up doing a lot of shopping, we really appreciated the free shuttle service to and from Queensbay Mall.

The room cards are still sensitive to electronics, which is a bit problematic since most of us own smart phones - I had to use a thick wallet to insulate the card. Additionally, it is not a problem with the room itself, but I think it would have been nice if I was able to book breakfast as well when I am booking a room - I have noticed that breakfast options are not available for larger rooms, like the suite I stayed in.

Aircond. Was here last October - one of the rooms had aircond issue. This time - different room, same issue. Prolly hotel needs to service all of the aircond again.

We stayed for 3 nights. I did not expect the 2-room suite to be this big. That is a plus after coming back from work to rest, and having 2 restless boys running around the unit. It has an extra room - study room. I thought the changing of lift at the 2nd floor to access the suite wing is going to be a problem logistically, but I'm wrong. It is not too bad after all. I dont mind not having a lift from car park to the lobby. Overall, I love the extra space & cleanliness, without sacrificing the hotel features i.e. bedding, shower, toilet, room service etc. I did not try the breakfast, as I was having it at my work place. Latte at the lounge was very nice. Pool was Okay for my kids and I. Overall, thumbs up

I didnt like that they did not provide a little kitchenette in the suite. They had the 6-seater dining table, but no sink to wash hands nor the dishes after. What I would love to see is they swap the dining area and the living area, giving a nice view while having meals in the room. And please please change the sofa. The one in my room were too worn out!

I had a wonderful stay at AC hotel. The room design was very beautiful and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was also superbly clean. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

The pool area needs extra cautionary measures. There are two small drains on the pathway towards the pool, and I saw someone accidentally fall into one of them because there were no warning signs or distinct markings to indicate their presence. This poses a safety risk to pool users and other guests. Adding barricade tape or similar precautions would help prevent accidents.

Particulary like to commend this staff Jenny who went the extra mile to help me retrieve my misplaced laptop after i check out and pass it to my in laws. Her willingness to meet the guests' needs is exceptional. Will go back for future stays.

The phoneline managed by operators only follow the motion. Same example as my laptop, i called and talked to this operator Shini. She told me the staff and supervisor had checked, opened every drawers and there was no laptop. If not for Jenny at the reception staff who went with my in laws, the laptop would have been gone. Apparently the operator or the staff who claimed had checked was not honest

I was formally a hotelier, that I know what to expect. But... I impressed as soon as I got the check in counter. Koh/Khoo at front office. WOW! Greeted, faciltated and even walked me to the direction of the lift. Well ttained and better than many other 5 star hotels. Breakfast - walked in - not too large of buffet spread - low expectation. But again!!! All the staffs at the restaurant, treated the guests VERY well. I felt pampered... very courteous, indulging and well trained. All of them were good that I ddnt know who to give tips too. Great job AC by Marriot, Penang.

The suite was spacious for family, liked that they had these suites for family with 2 bathrooms, so it won't be time-consuming to take turns using the bathroom. The suite has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a dining area, this is very accommodating especially in Penang where u could enjoy packed street food in the air-conditioned environment.

The suites came with a king sized bed and a super single, the beds were too soft. The air-conds in the rooms and the fridge were not working when we checked-in, but the reception and maintenance immediately checked and fixed once they were informed. Will expect that these amenities were checked before lwtting guests in.

Regarding the price I think you cannot get a better option and also the breakfast was priced very attractive and offered a variety that was pleasant. The staff all around was very friendly and attentive.

If I would plan to book this hotel again I would definitely book two rooms instead of the two bedroom suite as I think it isn’t as cosy and warm due to the largeness and we didn’t need the extra space (living room area, dining area plus a room where there was only a desk and an ironing board).

I participated in the Penang Bridge International Marathon on 17 December 2023 and returned to the hotel at 10:10 am. Despite being in my running gear after the marathon, the hotel staff (Chinese lady), who was in charge at the restaurant's main entrance, graciously permitted me to have a quick breakfast. I would like to thank her for her kindness and hospitality. The rooms are generously large, with a diverse selection of breakfast options, and exceptionally comfortable beds. Marriott hotels are renowned for their commitment to quality and hospitality.

The twin bedrooms are adjoining spaces, and consequently, sounds from adjacent rooms can be heard.
