- i got room that facing Mount Kinabalu, the view was breathtaking, and also the resort also far away from Kundasang town, so it peaceful stay for me that need away from the city/town noise.

only the problem for me, is the road access to go the resort, it's unpaved but the road still accessible for small car the road not to rough.

We had initial fear of the road when we read other reviews but it was actually better than we expected. 3 km gravel but no pot holes and wide enough. The location is perfect for a number of reasons. Privacy, away from the main road, room was comfortable, hot water was strong, all appliance works, a restaurant/cafe on site. Travelling with senior citizens and they love it, we got them the lower level room. The children 13 and 9 love walking around the area which is safe. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was okay. Some of us had the ala carte set for dinner though the soup was lukewarn. In that weather a hot soup would be great. My children had western and the burgers were delicious. Breakfast spread was also value for money. The meehoon soup was tasty with all the right condiments and it was hot. Pisang goreng was a big hit. Suggest to have vegetable soup (serve hot) on the menu since Kundasang has fresh vege and cost should be low. Overall stay was excellent. A big thank you to the wonderful team there.

Some platforms looks run down and the plastic chairs at balcony can be unsafe for bigger size people.

This hotel has been around for a while but I just got to know about it. A beautiful set up with a stunning view of Akinabalu. We had two rooms facing Mount Kinabalu. The room was equipped with hot water shower, fan and comfortable bed and clean. There's no wifi in the room but you can get free wifi access from hotel lobby. Reception was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and they had both local and western cuisine. I love their Sabahan delicacies. Portion is too huge for us, the next day we told them that we will pay full price but please give us half portion to avoid food wastage.

Checking in was smooth and easy, our room was clean and comfortable, had all the basic necessities and the friendly staff at reception let us know we could just call them for anything. The view was spectacular, you can just sit on your balcony to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. When the skies are clear you can clearly see Kinabalu. Plenty of parking with good lighting.

The breakfast spread is small but maybe because it was non peak season. Decent taste though. Wish there was a mini fridge in the room. The drive up to Celyn from the main road is a bit challenging, but I think any other hotel with a view is the same. Just be prepared to drive 10km/h for 10minutes, the view is worth it for me. And its something memorable to remember the trip by

Room is quite old but it’s very well kept and tidy. Bathroom is also very clean (big win in my book) It’s a perfect place to stay for couples and families needing a getaway. We booked the Valley wing (garden view) and the view is absolutely breathtaking. There is even a balcony for you to chill and enjoy nature outside your room. Will book again for the mountain view next! Location wise, it’s about 30mins drive from attractions like Desa Dairy Farm, Alpaca club, Sosodikon Hill which is okay in my opinion. They also provide breakfast and the service is excellent. Highly recommended!! 💯💯

Just note that the main door for the room is a glass sliding door, so it may not be very secure. Also the road leading up to the resort is very bumpy and steep so advise to drive slow if you are renting a car.

The view and feeling of fresh air. Staffs are friendly and ample free parking. Just it is quite adventure to reach the resort.

The room has smell of cokcroaches. The bathroom also quiet small and the water are not clear. Food spread also not so many but its okay.

Front desk person was kind and friendly. Room is not that bad for "kundasang standard". The view of mount kinabalu is rewarding round the property. .Hot water shower. Simple Breakfast was provided which is a plus point. Bus station restaurant is just around the junction, a short drive from the property.

Mount kinabalu view rooms were fully booked at that time, and our room doesn't have a Mountain view- which is not the property fault.

I stayed 3days 2night, n my balcony have the view of the mt kinabalu. Such a perfect view in the morning! Have a friendly staff. The food for breakfast also very good. For the accommodation very perfect! Easy for parking your car.

From the main road u will have 5min for tarmac and 10min for offroad. Good if u have 4x4.

My 2nd time to this hotel and it is the same even after 10 years.. Liked the view from the room,the staff were friendly and overall it was a good stay.

The road towards the hotel needs to be constructed well.There is no way to drive down at night as it is too dark.

I understand the location that's why the road was very terrible. Should have been mentioned in the description and at least we know before we book. And the photo on booking.com looked very nice and clean but when we were gone, cleanliness was just different. Overall, at least we could know those problems before we go. We checked in very late, and when we were on the way, you could imagine what we were thinking.
