The location was perfect. Within walking distance to thee Jesselton Jetty with plenty of food options around. It was also within walking distance to the market for local handicraft. The hostel is just a 10 minute drive from the airport and was easily reached via grab. Besides that, you can also order grab food delivery from many different locations easily from the hostel. Breakfast was simple, toast and eggs, good for a quick start to the day. Bonus point, there were cute kittens at the common area!

The walls were very, very thin. I chose a private room with shared bathroom, but at some points it felt like I was in a shared dorm because you could hear almost everything. But for the price point, you cant really complain. Besides that, my room was on the third floor, which is totally fine, but it was not fun climbing up the stairs with my 20kg backpack.

All the facilities are sufficient for a basic travel like the lobby area very much since its perfectly cosy with comfortable interior design with warm hearted services simple breakfast with home-like infrastructure would recommend for solo or family travellers convenience and perfect shots for the gaya night markets and gaya sunday market with walking-distance shoplots a highly recommend stay at KK！

The bed might need to have a deeper cleaning dim light for the room, might need to have extra lighting for the room

Located right on Gaya street, you can take food from the night market and eat it very chill at the hostel. It has an awesome super comfy common area and their TV offers netflix. It is walking distance to a bus stop that takes you to Kinabalu park, also to the Jesselton port to go to the islands and to everywhere else in the center.

The only thing that doesn't work that great is the wifi, like you couldn't have a meeting online at the rooms. But you might at the common room.

Everything was good. Nice common space, fully equipped kitchen, some basic breakfast. Bathrooms were clean. Room was basic, but very clean and has a great ventilation. Location is just perfect. It was a nice stay, we even had prolonged it by 2 days.

Breakfast could be a little better, now it's just toast, 1 egg per person, jam, instant noodles and instant coffee - but really can't complain for that price. We were buying something extra at the market each day and getting it's warmed up in the morning :)

Has a big sharing space. The bathroom is clean and big enough. Water pressure is fine. Offers basic breakfast such as toast, boiled eggs, instant noodles, coffee, tea etc.

The floor does not allow slipper so when the floor was mopped, got to walk carefully. Space between lower bunk bed and the upper one is small so often bang the head. Had night market for two nights during the stay, it is a bit noisy because night market is just downstair.

The hostel was clean and in an excellent location however it was the staff that made our stay. I became ill and had to have an ambulance called and the staff were so good with helping me and making sure I was looked after. We extended our stay with them for an additional week to recover and they were so accommodating and helpful.

Very strategic location, easy to find food outlets, all in walking distance, very cozy common space to chill and you can make your own coffee/tea, you can also watch tv at the common area, they also provide wifi. The bathroom and toilets are always clean.

Noises from other guests who don’t know how to shut their doors properly.

I recommend staying at the hostel if you want to try special kinds of street food, since it is located next to the night market. On sunday morning takes another market place, also next to the hostel, where you can buy animals and clothes. I found the atmosphere welcoming and calm.

At the evenings in the weekend the hostel was loud due to it's central location next to the night market.

Big rooms. Big common space and many cards, games, books for leisure activities. Strategic location, Gaya street night market is just downstairs.

Biggest disappointment is parking fees are not free as stated in the page. Shampoo and bath gel not provided. Very low water pressure (depends on time). Rm50 Deposit needed. Advice not to pick a room facing the Gaya street on Friday/ Saturday as my room stink of BBQ smell from the night market below.

Location is close to a simple night market, many restaurants that open until late, fast food chains. Breakfast is provided but is simple: toast with butter and jam, one hard boiled egg, and free hot drink. Booked a room for 3, nothing to complain about. Beds and room were clean, aircon worked fine.
