This hotel is tidy and the rooms are a decent size. It’s centrally located. The rooms had wifi, water, basic tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge. The air con worked well.

My only gripe with the location was that my room overlooked the park next door which seemed to have concerts on every night for Independence Day and it was quite loud. But with headphones it drowned it out. Definitely not the hotels fault though. The other thing is you can hear the constant “ding” of the elevator clear as day from the room as it goes up and down every floor day and night - perhaps this could be put on silent during certain hours?

Location. Just a walk away from Api Api Night Market and Gaya Sunday Market.

As usual no parking provided for guests.

There are certainly cheaper hotels, but the DreamTel was fairly upscale. The rooms are up several levels, so they have nice views, & the rooms are far enough from other buildings that you can leave the curtains open. Nice buffet breakfast. A nice place to recover from an overseas flight.

I mean, gold plated furnishings or a bigger room would have been nice, but we wouldn't have wanted to pay for them. The breakfast was mostly Chinese until we found the eggs, which were outside on deck.

The location is great, near to Sunday market, Night markets, shopping malls, eating & drinking places, central point to venture further to the rural places of interests, easily accessible etc etc etc

It’s a “bed & breakfast” thingy without “a full hotel service” orientation … the breakfast selections need to be a bit more creative … the housekeeping is ok but when you need a roll of toilet paper (due it ran out), a bit more urgency is needed from housekeeping 😅😂🤣😝😜🤪. Other than this, given a bit more time - any request or task is all’s well and great!

the room was good and breakfast was good, location was good really close (walking distance only) to many Kota Kinabalu tourist site

The room was not soundproof/sound reduce. The loud noises from the field as it was CNY celebration was really disturbing during the night time.

Nice location, set towards the hillside and next to a sports oval. Easy walk to town and seafront. Great breakfast, but did get a bit busy. Sea views from the higher floors

Whilst the hotel wasn't noisy, there was loud music from a bar nearby, (Sat night)

Strategic location, good breakfast meal, friendly staff and clean room.

1. The light in the bathroom is very dim (need to be bright) 2. Some light is not functioning well (front light near clothes cabinet) 3. The bathroom (shower) main holes might be clog the water takes time to subside while bathing makes the floor wet/flood. 4. Aircond may need to service 😅, quite humid. Just my opinion 😊

Hotel is located within walking distance to the city center like easy access to the weekend market at Gaya Street by foot. In short if you are not the lazy type who likes to explore places by foot then this place is ideal. The staff are very cooperative and helpful which happened to us. Really appreciate their kind assistance. Breakfast - oh! it offers bits of everything for all. No one should be complaining.

The empty small lane on left side of this hotel definitely needs some sprucing up job. It's dark, unsightly dirty and smells unpleasant. It certainly doesn't match up to the image for a clean hotel.

We stayed in Dreamtel hotel Kota Kinabalu for 7 day this November 23'. It was really pleasure to stay in very comfort and clean hotel with reasonable price at the heart of city. At first we have a issue about the room. We were attended by Ms. Atiqa a very professional and well mannered staff. She settled our problem. Changed our room. And the way she talk was very polite that make us to extend our staying. We've very happy to say that our stay at Dreamtel is one of the best for this year. Thank you booking.com.

Location is perfect, walking distance to many places. Many eateries too near the hotel.

It is a mess w laundries at our chck in floor when we chck in to our room. A bit unpleasant as we need to walk thru piles of linens. But it was ok as they allow us to chck in early. So the mess is quite expected 😁. It was cleared later of the day.
