The short distance to the airport is ideal to stay here before departure (like we did) or after arrival. Also, the traffic coming/going from/to the airport was manageable thanks to direct road connections crossing the highway. To get into the city or Tanjung Aru beach, we used Grab which worked fine and was not very expensive. Still, to really enjoy downtown KK we would recommend to pick a hotel in the city to have everything in walking distance (e.g. the Horizon Hotel). The rooms are modern and looked as nice as on the pictures, the bathroom and shower were also in a very good condition. The staff we met was very friendly and we liked the option to have a shared fridge outside the room for some snacks and drinks. Wifi was good and worked perfectly. Otherwise it is very much self service and you get a code for your door instead of a key. The hotel is on the upper floors of a business/mall building, downstairs are plenty of restaurants and shops, very convenient. If you arrive by car, you should be able to find parking space in the garage (free).

The automated check-in procedure with passport scanning using a terminal similar to self-check in booths at an airport was not really that smooth, but we were greeted by an employee who was happy to assist us. Maybe not the easiest option for travellers that are not too comfortable with the digital world :-)

We needed something close to the airport. It cost less than $2 usd in a grab to get here, and was a 7 minute journey! Very cool and unique concept. I loved watching the planes come and go!

Finding this place was a little difficult once we got to the complex. It is located on the 5th floor, so find an elevator at entrance C and take it to floor 5, this will save you walking around like we did! Road as expected was noisy at night when trying to sleep. Checkin system was automated and required a QR code which I didn't have from booking.com. Someone was there to help us, and when they weren't they were very responsive when I messaged asking for help.

Amazing property, very modern with characteristic rooms, is stayed in the cafe room and photography room. Showers and toilets are spotless and very modern with excellent Wi-Fi. Very near the airport and comfy beds, the staff kindly looked after left luggage for me when I went to Mt Kinabalu

Online check in very modern and good but asks for alot of information e.g. taking a photo of the passport then having to put in the information again.

I was travelling with my mum and brother so the room is good enough for 3 of us. Simple and near to airport and Tanjung Aru beach. If you are not spending many days in KK or only need to stay for a short transit to another city in KK then this place is ideal since it’s near the KK airport.

New Building. Near Restaurants, bank, coffee shops, and Marts. Near Self Laundry. Near Airport. The location is easy for Grab or Food delivery. They have an easy check-in and check-out machine and of course easy after you use it once or twice.

Location is quite tricky if you use GRAB, basically, just search for Bank Muamalat KK Kepayan the lift is just beside the bank. Lift sometimes only 1 available.

Really great stay for a pre- or post-flight hotel. I wouldn't stay for longer than one night, maybe two as it is far from the centre of KK but super close (5 min drive) to the airport. Really easy self check-in, amenities provided (coffee, water, shampoo etc.) and clean facilities. Highly recommend.

No plug sockets by the bed. The key code entrance for the room is annoying and the code too long to easily remember.

I came to this via Grab, the Hotel sent me a whatsapp message to give a clear instruction on which elevator to take. I came to my room - The Bakery Room, which was cuteeee. The room was clean, I had an attached bathroom, the bed was big and fluffy and clean. I had a tv with internet connection and with it all these show options - although it was mostly with chinese sub, I had myself occupied the whole night with it. I just need to come down and go to the downstairs restaurant to get some food. Also the staff was really friendly and helpful. It was a good stay overall .

Everything good!. From self check-in service, super comfy bed, strong water pressure, variety of movie channel, good wifi connection. The host, eyka is very helpful, she help us with check in issue even though it already midnight. Most important, reasonable price and near to KK airport. If you looking for accommodation that provide basic thing yet important, The Atelier is the perfect choice.
