Francis was the kindest and most helpful host. The location is the perfect place to be able to see most tourist places within walking distance. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean, probably the cleanest hostel I have stayed. Loved the soap and shampoo smell, they provided towels as well. Check-in and check-out was super easy.

Nothing to do with the hostel, but during my two nights here, we had other guests who were up playing or watching games, they were screaming and shouting up until 2am. Always prepare ear plugs for unfortunate things like this (hostel has quiet hours of 11pm to 7am).

It’s my second time here and we stayed in the same room which is perfect. The first time was upfront we don’t have any bookings and I found this using google only and the rating is very high and luckily there’s availability at that time. The bed frame is concrete and wide enough to fit 2 persons. Another thing is what I like the most is the owner and his family, they are very accommodating and very good with english which is good for foreigners like us. The CR, internet and all of the facilities are superb and fit for the cheap price. I hope they won’t increase the price hahaha Another thing is they have mini honesty store which you can buy assorted things for the same price

It’s a kinda hassle to remove the shoes/outside slippers before entering the room HOWEVER IT IS GREAT TO KEEP THE ROOM CLEAN. They have shoe rack right outsite of each rooms, which is the best. They offer slippers too for only 3 or 4rm. Very affordable

Francis! Very lovely host, was there to welcome us and explained us how to navigate between the tourist attractions (easy peasy). Location is also perfect and the room and bathroom are super clean, like new! Room had no windows (normal in Malaysia), so we didn't here the street noise :) Also: we got upgraded (4 bankbeds instead of 2) which was very nice as the rooms are tiny. Perfect for one or two nights! Airco also works perfectly!

I could have used a thicker blanket or an extra one because the airco worked so well (you can't really switch it off because there are no windows and it gets hot in the room quickly. But I'm sure that if you ask Francis for an extra blanket you will get one for sure :) Mattress is a bit hard if you are used to sleeping on a soft one, but it was actually comfortable!

The owner is super friendly and even showed us some places where it’s a must to see them :) it’s super clean! Also the shared bathrooms were always clean. We will definitely come back. Just to inform the bookers: the rooms have no window. For us not a problem as we anyway went there only to sleep :)

Very clean and in a great location. Secure building and the owner was really helpful and friendly - talked us through the area and main attractions on arrival. Also upgraded us to a larger room which was a pleasant surprise. Shared bathrooms kept clean and was lots of products available to purchase on demand - soft drinks, beer, toiletries, snacks, etc.

Slightly confused as to how to get into the building at check in.

I highly recommend this accommodation. Francis and Lillian are very friendly and treat guests like family. The rooms, showers, and toilets are always clean because they are carefully maintained. It is close to Netherlands Square, the center of Malacca, so it is a good place to stay and rest during the day. The accommodation is quiet, making it great for a good night's sleep. I plan to stay again next time I go to Malacca.

Very central, simple, clean and with an unbeatable price. All you really need! The room is small without a window but functional, and the shared bathroom was spotless. Aircon was a bit too strong and couldn’t be fully adjusted, but Francis was super helpful and got me a fan.

Walking distance is less than 10 mins to Jonker street. Nearby has coffee shop that serve cheap and delicious meal. Just follow the recommendation from friendly boss Francis. The room may look old to some people but we had a good night sleep. I like the the wall decor too (photo and stories).

We had an incredible stay! The host was amazing and really made our stay comfortable. The beds were some of the best that we slept on in Asia. Everything was clean as well. We loved the location as well, as it was within walking distance to some of the main sights. We would definitely stay again.

Francis couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. He gave us so many suggestions and we loved hearing about the history of his lovely place. If we hadn’t already booked a transfer and accommodation in our next stop, we would have stayed longer!
