We stayed in the Family Room with bunk bed, and it looked exactly like the picture! It was spacious, quiet, clean. The kids loved it! The staff are very friendly. When I called Reception or Housekeeping, they remember your name and room number. Location-wise, you have everything you need nearby. The Sunway Lagoon Theme Park is just a stone's throw away. The hotel is located right next to the Sunway Pyramid mall (interconnected) with tons of shops, facilities, kids playground and an ice-skating rink. There is also a self-service laundromat nearby in the shoplots opposite the hotel. This was a real lifesaver!

On the second day, some of us started to have allergies. We asked Housekeeping to vacuum the room, and after that, the allergies stopped. Breakfast is not served in this hotel but in the 'nearby' Sunway Resort. We had to either take 6 escalators down to the restaurant where breakfast is served, or walk across to the Resort Hotel and take the lift down. There was a wide range of food for breakfast but not too fabulous for my taste.

They upgraded our rooms free of charge, we booked with Sunway Pyramid but they gave us connecting rooms in Sunway Resort. Rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. Aqua Park view was great, staff and reception team were friendly, the mall is in the same complex, and the breakfast was very good, they provide different varieties. We enjoyed our stay in Sunway Resort and had a lunch at Gordon Ramsay Restaurant which is in the lobby area.

Waiting in line for around 10 minutes to be able to enter the restaurant for breakfast [breakfast was great by the way), the lobby is crowded and there should be discount for hotel residents to access the Aqua Park. Nothing else, the hotel is great and we enjoyed our time there despite our short stay for two days only.

I don’t often leave reviews, but the service I received from the team at Sunway Hotel Pyramid—particularly Timothy and Qistina—was truly exceptional and deserves to be recognised. I checked in very late after a long and exhausting journey, and Timothy welcomed me with what I can only describe as one of the warmest greetings I’ve ever received at any hotel. He was incredibly professional, genuine, and kind—something I deeply appreciated, especially as a few things on my business trip hadn’t gone to plan. His warm welcome immediately lifted my spirits and made me feel so at ease in Malaysia, even though it was just for a one-night stay. I was also generously offered a late checkout, which allowed me to rest and recharge before my flight the next day. That small gesture made a huge difference and helped me travel on feeling refreshed and well looked after. I originally hadn’t planned to stay at Sunway again instead in KLCC, when I returned to Malaysia later in the trip, but the outstanding service and hospitality made it an easy decision to come back for the final two nights of my month-long journey. This time, I was welcomed by Qistina, who already knew of me and again extended the same level of warmth and care—including another late checkout, which I especially appreciated as I had started to feel unwell towards the end of my trip. It’s these small touches—remembering my name, going the extra mile—that truly stood out and made me feel like more than like family rather than a guest. The room was comfortable, quiet and cozy, with a lovely view and a beautiful ambience created by thoughtful lighting. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and left feeling cared for and incredibly grateful. Thank you again, Timothy and Qistina, for turning what could have been a difficult trip into such a positive experience. I’ll absolutely be back!

Great location and room

No breakfast available in the property, you need to go to the resort to have breakfast.

Everything is great once you are checked in until the smooth check out they even have an express check out box jut drop the room keys and you are good to go no queue or waiting for someone. The room facilities, AC, view clean and comfortable. About the breakfast it is another story even though it was crowded but you can easily take whatever you want, and they have verity of choices all of them ate delicious and yummy. They make a delicious pancakes by the way. The last thing the location is perfect everything is beneath you. Sunway Lagoon theme park and the mall.

Excellent location connected to the Pyramid Mall. Plenty of restaurants in the Mall with a vast choice of food from around the world. Hence we did not have breakfast at the Hotel. The room was clean and orderly. Very responsive staff when we needed assistance. I like everything about Sunway Pyramid Hotel. My fourth stay (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2024). I stayed at the Sunway Lagoon Hotel in 2023. I still prefer Sunway Pyramid Hotel. The Hotel should have offers for repeat guests - Loyalty benefits :)

Shower cubicles could be sealed better so that the water will not seep through.

Breakfast was located at the other affiliated hotel beside Sunway Pyramid. Its a short distance away and a little bit unusual but its made up for it by offering wide ranges of foods that my family liked. Sunway is perfect for families because of the close proximity to a kids-friendly mall, food, amenities. They even have a medical centre nearby (even called Sunway Medical) in case of emergencies. If anyone wants to experience more attractions elsewhere, they can do so by booking a cab or going to the Grab App for more private transportation. Its easy, quick and affordable. Distances between attractions and the hotel are not too far.

There wasn't really anything that we did not like so strongly as to put in a review. However, Sunway Pyramid could do better by keeping better maintenance on their hot water showers and water pressure in the bathrooms.

The bed was really super comfy for some reason. After suffering from a week's long tension and mental stress, I could relax and doze off right after lying on the bed. Location wise, it is definitely superb. Very close to Sunway Pyramid shopping mall, access to a wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets. Good and comfortable weekend getaway. Room service personnel was also helpful, considerate and excellent.

The water pressure in our bathroom was very very low, so bathing experience wasn't that pleasant. One part of the lights to our room (bedding & TV area) did not function after the first night.

Excellent service & beautiful room with a park view!

Their dry cleaning surfaces turn around time could be improved for those who are staying for 1 night only. We had to go for Express and pay double, as the regular laundry/dry cleaning only arrives following day at 7pm and we could only stay for a night. Given that these hotels are usually booked for the purpose of heading to the theme parks, they can improve on their laundry/Dry cleaning turnaround time without charging double rate for express.

The breakfast was good. A lot of variety and a lot of sitting space. The hotel is good for family who want to visit Sunway Lagoon. very easy access to the lagoon and to the mall for shopping and dining.

I had booked three room. Two rooms had water drainage issues. The first room (9118), the sink drainage was poor. very slow the water clears from the sink. the second room (9124), the drainage from the shower had problems. the bathroom floor got slightly wet/ flooded. Also the towels in all three rooms had some stale smell. We thought it was just the first batch, but after requesting for a room cleaning and fresh towels, the smell was the same in the towel. i hope the hotel management can see to this.
