Great stay! :) The reception and staff were extremely helpful, providing all the information I needed to enjoy Malta to the fullest :) Leaving my luggage after check-out was easy and stress-free. The rooftop view was stunning and I wish I had spent more time there :D The room was elegant, clean, and cozy, with daily cleaning and fresh drinking water. Perfect location, right in the center, close to everything. There's also a great spot for groceries and quick meals just across the street. Breakfasts were a bit simple, but not a problem given the overall high quality of the hotel. I had some special room requests, and the hotel handled them all without any issue. Despite being in the center, it was very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when I am in Malta again :)

Loved the rooftop pool, it was a real treat to have this during our stay. The room was beautiful and such an excellent location for our trip. The managerial staff were excellent, friendly and went the extra mile. We celebrated our anniversary at the hotel and they provided several lovely touches. Views were absolutely stunning, and the hotel is so impressive.

The indoor spa pool, which was supposed to be heated, was colder than the outside pool which was a shame. Lunch choices at the rooftop were limited with many items sold out and my actual order being quite burnt which wasn’t rectified after I brought it to the waiters attention which was a little disappointing as he agreed it was burnt.

-location was perfect, if you are into the ancient city vibe definitely stay in Valletta not Sliema and this is a great choice -the roof terrace was fantastic with an amazing view over the grand harbour and three cities, you can watch the ships, plenty of room to relax and eat/drink/swim -the breakfast and the breakfast team were fantastic! They remained professional throughout and the food was of an exceptional standard. Thank you Madeline and team! -the rooms were finished to a high standard, we had a balcony view to see life going on in Valletta and the sound proofing was perfect, so don’t worry about being on the high street side. -the gym was small but adequate, a running machine was there. The pools were small, not really for swimming but still nice for refreshing after a long day walking around the cities

Located in the heartbeat of Valletta, the hotel scores with a beautiful antique design inside and outside. Rooms are quite spacious and breakfast has a petite but delicious selection. Staff was extremely attentive, especially breakfast and cleaning teams. Thank you very much for your efforts. The spa and gym are also very nice compliments when you want to take a break.

It was overall great. So no complaints but little points that can be improved. Opening times of spa and gym should be longer, preferably 24h. Also having to reserve timeslots for the sauna is not ideal. As said, just details :)

This place was everything and more. From the stunning views on the rooftop balcony, to the kind and hard working staff all throughout the hotel, this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my whole life. The breakfast food was excellent and the bar snacks available throughout the day were great. The room was absolutely stunning and cleaned to perfection every day. The hotels location was spot on, only one or two streets away from the bars & restaurants but still tucked away enough that it was very quiet and peaceful at night. 10/10!

Nothing at all

This is a fantastic renovated hotel within walking distance of all the main sights and coach tour departure stances. They have retained all the beautiful old features in the bedrooms with their high ceilings and smart decoration. The rooms are large with plenty hanging space for your clothes and possessions while the bathroom is also a good size. All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, but we particularly enjoyed the massages given by the young Spanish lady in the salon beside the pool. I'm so sorry that I've now forgotten her name, but she really went above and beyond to give me in particular a wonderful treatment, based on my medical requirements. The pool isn't huge, but it was very nice and very quiet. The breakfasts were extremely good and freshly cooked to order. We thought we might eat once or twice at the Valletta Food Market straight across from the hotel entrance, but although there was plenty choice, we felt it was really expensive, so didn't bother. But don't miss out on ice cream galore - always wonderful ! There is a bus stop right across the street from the hotel which was unfortunately out of action while we were there in May 2024, but we never actually needed it anyway. We just loved our stay at The Gomerino and would not hesitate in recommending it to fellow travellers.

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. The location was amazing. So close to everything, while being quiet. The hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. On arrival, we were gifted vouchers for the spa which was a lovely touch! The spa is very relaxing, as is the entire hotel. There was a large selection of options for breakfast. We particularly liked that the hotel offered a Maltese section in additional to all the other breakfast options. This gave us the chance to try traditional foods every morning of our stay! Even in February, the rooftop pool was lovely, as it was heated. On one evening, we watched the canons being fired at the upper Barrakka Gardens, from the rooftop with amazing views. If returning to Valletta, it would be hard to stay anywhere but this hotel.

The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of Valletta and close to all the things you want to see and do. Staff were warm and friendly, particularly the breakfast and roof terrace staff! Our room was smaller than expected but it was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We had a balcony which looked onto the St Pauls road. Was great to watch Valletta life going on below us. The roof terrace is where we spent allot of time. First class view of the grand harbour and the many many fireworks displays. You can also see Upper Barraka where they fire the noon cannon.

We couldn't stay longer.

The Gomerino hotel was beautiful. Excellent location, just a street away from central Valletta, shops, bars etc & close the harbour for ferries & boat trips. The boutique hotels decor was stunning & immaculately clean & staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Views over the harbour from the roof top pool were a highlight, especially at sunrise & sunset. Will definitely be returning! 💚

There was nothing to dislike, the place is a gem! If I was to have one thing that would just be an improvement though, it would be that the pool bar doesn't open till 12pm. This obviously means not being able to get cold drinks to cool off in the very hot Malta sun 😎

Valetta is very small and everything is an easy walk. So this hotel, just 2 blocks away from the main Republic Street is well located. It is on a much quieter street and just behind the Valetta Food Market, so this also made it convenient for us to buy some personal items from supermarket. We even bought some of our souvenirs from there. The location is very central, so right outside our street you really see all what Malta is all about, the old buildings with their gallerijas, the steep slopes/streets, all sights within 2-3 short blocks away. After a day of walking and exploring, it was just so convenient for us to go back to the hotel to drop some of our shopping, rest for a few minutes before venturing back outside again. I think because I booked a bit late, so we got a room that was a bit on the small side, but the configuration of the rooms all open out to the courtyard below so it didn't feel too much cramped. One time we'd just leave our door open to let the fresh air inside. We had 2 large luggages, so we just had enough space to open both, the toilet and bath is a good size, not really a problem. The hotel had a bar and a pool at its rooftop where you get the amazing unimpeded view of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities! I think this view really makes this hotel worth its price. It was still chilly at nights so we didn't get to stay there for some drinks but each morning, we'd go up there just to see Valetta and the Three Cities wake up. The hotel also had a spa and an indoor pool which we were not able to use, unfortunately. The spa closed quite early (around 5 or 6pm, i think) and I would have loved a massage right after a day's walk and before going to bed. The included breakfast was good, it's ala carte but there are pastries, fruits and cheese as buffet. The restaurant staff was well trained, very prompt and saw to our every need.

It felt a bit warm in the evening and we couldn't adjust the A/C, they said that it was because the A/C was still on heater mode so we couldn't make it a bit cooler. They sent up an electric fan which was a little help, so we just opened our windows at night to let the cold air in the room.
