The location was really great. Walkable to everywhere in Valletta centre, including the ferries across to the Three Cities and Gozo. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Rooftop overlooks the harbour so the view is amazing and a lovely place to sit and have a drink.

The outdoor pool water was hot! More like a jacuzzi and when the outside temp is averaging 27 degrees if you sit outside you want to cool off not remain overheated. Having outside space was the main reason booking so that was disappointing. The plunge bath in the basement spa was also not cold. We were told they upgraded us but our room faced onto the street and directly opposite big bins and it was incredibly noisy from about 5am with bottles being chucked around / hitting metal etc. was very hard to get a decent nights sleep because of it. Needed more storage or hangers. For example dressing gowns were provided but nowhere to hang them. We’ll hand go hang one hand towel over the face mirror and saw someone in another room had done the same.

Location was great close to Valletta centre, Ambiance and character of hotel. Roof terrace and view, We had a balcony room overlooking the street but it was not noisy the french doors were soundproofed, Ample sized rooms and facilities. Comfortable bed, Clean, Plenty of hot water in bathroom. Aircon, Very helpful staff,

TV in room poor signal and kept losing picture. Could do with more coat hangers and hooks the wardrobe design was limited because of shape of the ceiling, but ok for a short break. Buffet breakfast was good with enough variety for most tastes but gave the impression that the kitchen was limited in size and resources. No choice of egg preference, it was a single choice on each day, one day fried, next day scrambled, then hard boiled and then back to fried. No poached egg available even on request. Roof top bar menu food seemed to be pre prepared and limited and was obviously kept in a fridge not freshly prepared, centre of large bap was still cold but bun was burnt.

Great stay! :) The reception and staff were extremely helpful, providing all the information I needed to enjoy Malta to the fullest :) Leaving my luggage after check-out was easy and stress-free. The rooftop view was stunning and I wish I had spent more time there :D The room was elegant, clean, and cozy, with daily cleaning and fresh drinking water. Perfect location, right in the center, close to everything. There's also a great spot for groceries and quick meals just across the street. Breakfasts were a bit simple, but not a problem given the overall high quality of the hotel. I had some special room requests, and the hotel handled them all without any issue. Despite being in the center, it was very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when I am in Malta again :)

Wonderfully situated and extremely pleasant. The views from the roof terrace are exceptional - probably the best viewing platform for the Fireworks Festival in Valletta. Breakfast was excellent and room very comfortable.

We had a problem with booking a boat trip to Gozo - the boat company would not accept the ticket provided by the hotel. But the hotel refunded our deposit and we had an enjoyable day despite not making it to Gozo. And a very small quibble, given how wonderful the roof terrace was, but it would be even better if the roof-top bar sold slightly more drinkable wine by the glass.

Loved the rooftop pool, it was a real treat to have this during our stay. The room was beautiful and such an excellent location for our trip. The managerial staff were excellent, friendly and went the extra mile. We celebrated our anniversary at the hotel and they provided several lovely touches. Views were absolutely stunning, and the hotel is so impressive.

The indoor spa pool, which was supposed to be heated, was colder than the outside pool which was a shame. Lunch choices at the rooftop were limited with many items sold out and my actual order being quite burnt which wasn’t rectified after I brought it to the waiters attention which was a little disappointing as he agreed it was burnt.

-location was perfect, if you are into the ancient city vibe definitely stay in Valletta not Sliema and this is a great choice -the roof terrace was fantastic with an amazing view over the grand harbour and three cities, you can watch the ships, plenty of room to relax and eat/drink/swim -the breakfast and the breakfast team were fantastic! They remained professional throughout and the food was of an exceptional standard. Thank you Madeline and team! -the rooms were finished to a high standard, we had a balcony view to see life going on in Valletta and the sound proofing was perfect, so don’t worry about being on the high street side. -the gym was small but adequate, a running machine was there. The pools were small, not really for swimming but still nice for refreshing after a long day walking around the cities

Located in the heartbeat of Valletta, the hotel scores with a beautiful antique design inside and outside. Rooms are quite spacious and breakfast has a petite but delicious selection. Staff was extremely attentive, especially breakfast and cleaning teams. Thank you very much for your efforts. The spa and gym are also very nice compliments when you want to take a break.

It was overall great. So no complaints but little points that can be improved. Opening times of spa and gym should be longer, preferably 24h. Also having to reserve timeslots for the sauna is not ideal. As said, just details :)

This place was everything and more. From the stunning views on the rooftop balcony, to the kind and hard working staff all throughout the hotel, this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my whole life. The breakfast food was excellent and the bar snacks available throughout the day were great. The room was absolutely stunning and cleaned to perfection every day. The hotels location was spot on, only one or two streets away from the bars & restaurants but still tucked away enough that it was very quiet and peaceful at night. 10/10!

Nothing at all

This is a fantastic renovated hotel within walking distance of all the main sights and coach tour departure stances. They have retained all the beautiful old features in the bedrooms with their high ceilings and smart decoration. The rooms are large with plenty hanging space for your clothes and possessions while the bathroom is also a good size. All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, but we particularly enjoyed the massages given by the young Spanish lady in the salon beside the pool. I'm so sorry that I've now forgotten her name, but she really went above and beyond to give me in particular a wonderful treatment, based on my medical requirements. The pool isn't huge, but it was very nice and very quiet. The breakfasts were extremely good and freshly cooked to order. We thought we might eat once or twice at the Valletta Food Market straight across from the hotel entrance, but although there was plenty choice, we felt it was really expensive, so didn't bother. But don't miss out on ice cream galore - always wonderful ! There is a bus stop right across the street from the hotel which was unfortunately out of action while we were there in May 2024, but we never actually needed it anyway. We just loved our stay at The Gomerino and would not hesitate in recommending it to fellow travellers.

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. The location was amazing. So close to everything, while being quiet. The hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. On arrival, we were gifted vouchers for the spa which was a lovely touch! The spa is very relaxing, as is the entire hotel. There was a large selection of options for breakfast. We particularly liked that the hotel offered a Maltese section in additional to all the other breakfast options. This gave us the chance to try traditional foods every morning of our stay! Even in February, the rooftop pool was lovely, as it was heated. On one evening, we watched the canons being fired at the upper Barrakka Gardens, from the rooftop with amazing views. If returning to Valletta, it would be hard to stay anywhere but this hotel.
