The are no words to express this fantastic experience. I was traveling alone to a country I had never visited before and it was as if I was visiting family that I had not seen in a while. The staff were the best!!!! They cared for my every wish and organized everything for my arrival, stay and departure; they even managed to check me in earlier than agreed. The communication had started via emails and I felt safe and happy, even before my arrival! The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean; it was kept clean every day with fresh towels and new/clean of everything that I had used (glasses, mugs, tea).

The location of the hotel is excellent, tucked away in a quiet area just a few steps away from the bustling, lively streets which ensured a peaceful nights sleep. We booked a deluxe room which was nicely furnished and included a Maltese balcony; air conditioning ensured the perfect temperature, bedding and towels were good quality and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and included a bottle fresh drinking water. All the staff were extremely competent and accommodating, offering advice and shortcuts to getting places to improve our stay; nothing was too much trouble and we were always warmly greeted. The roof terrace is fabulous and we managed to spend a few hours each day soaking up the sun and atmosphere while enjoying the outstanding views. It was great having the outside space to relax, plan our days and enjoy a glass of wine. Valletta is beautiful and we would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel for it’s location, wonderful team of staff and great views from the terrace, everything was spot on and we were made to feel very welcome

Charming boutique hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff who were available at all times and very helpful. Stayed with my sister and requested twin beds which was accommodated. Pillows were a bit hard for my liking but fine for my sister. The room and bathroom were kept spotless. Tea/coffee facilities were provided in the room and small milks (not powdered) which was great. We liked having the balcony and semi-open seating area. Wi-Fi was fast and had no issues.

No conditioner in the shower, just shampoo and shower gel. The bathroom sink was quite slow to drain. Breakfast was continental and certainly enough to fill us up however no hot items and not much variation. The breakfast room was also quite small with limited seating which meant sitting quite close to other tables. Delicious cappuccinos and pastries!

Got a lovely welcome email from Gita which also asked about our arrival time so that would try and have our room ready before the usual check in time of 3pm…We arrived at 10:30am and our room was ready! Towels were changed daily! The views on the rooftop were fabulous. On the last day we checked out and left our luggage there and were due to collect at 4pm however while we were out a waiter accidentally dropped a whole Aperol spritz all over me. We came back to the hotel and the staff arranged for me to have a shower and get changed even though we had checked out. I was really impressed with their kindness.

The staff made my stay outstanding. Archie and Gita went out of their way to make my stay something that I will cherish. They could not have been more welcoming, attentive, and accomodating. Thank you so much for allowing me to check in early. It meant a lot to be able to have more time in the Penthouse suite my first afternoon in Valletta to soak up the view of the Grand Harbour. What a view from the terrace. It was outstanding and exactly how I wanted my first time in Malta to start. The hotel facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent and I am so pleased that I was able to have it brought to my room. The rooftop terrace was glorious with an incredible view of Valletta and the Grand Harbour. The staff made certain that the absence of the rooftop bar was a non issue providing an excellent drink service when I needed it. Thank you so much. I could not speak more highly of Palazzo Ignazio and would have stayed longer if there was a vacancy. Believe me. I tried.

The hotel is a central location to Valetta. We came in on the ferry from Gozo and it was a 5-minute taxi ride to the hotel. You could have walked it but Valetta is quite hilly. We had three rooms booked and all of us thought our rooms were excellent. The hotel very kindly upgraded me to a suite which was lovely with a small balcony overlooking the street. The beds were firm but comfortable, breakfast selection was very good and you could order it for the roof terrace which was a lovely way to start the day. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The roof terrace has great views but it's not fully serviced by a bar/food options. It would have been nice to have that available.

fantastic location, 5 minutes to all the the main tourist sites / unique rooftop bar with view over the grand harbour / extremely friendly staff / well-equipped rooms but basic simple design (not cluttered with ‚stuff‘) / very clean

the mattrases were much too hard for us / the breakfast could have been better for a 4* hotel (eg fresh orange juice, better selection of bread, fresh fruit salad)

The property is located ideally in the heart of Valetta. The rooms are small but cosy and had everything we needed. Clean, fresh, with a courtyard view. Comfortable bed, handy coffee station and bottle of water. Amazing friendly staff, looking to help if needed. It was a really great overall experience. If I need to point out the only thing that would need to be looked at is breakfast, limited choice but still very tasty. Coffee was really good and strong.

Very beautiful hotel, friendly staff, very well positioned, having a lovely terrace on the rooftop. The staff, most particularly the reception lady were super thoughtful and friendly, accomodating anything we needed.

More options for the breakfast and perhaps gluten free options. Even though, the breakfast was delicious :) and the staff veey accomodating with our needs.

Breakfast was a little basic, but fine. Dining room for breakfast was quite small. Maybe more fresh fruit on offer? Rooms were very clean, spacious, excellent air conditioning, very comfortable bed and good shower .

The rooftop bar could be opened more regularly as opposed to weekends only,plus a bigger bar area for cocktails. Wonderful views across Valetta harbour.
