The location was amazing, couldn’t ask for a better place right in the center of the historic district! They have a terrace with a higher viewing area for gorgeous views of the cathedral and the Degollado theater, day or night! The hotel itself is beautiful with a very comfortable and inviting sitting area in the lobby! We had the standard quadruple room with a balcony and views to the government palace and the iconic Guadalajara sign. It was a dreamlike experience to see the balcony and hear the city sounds along with various musicians drift into the room. And the staff!.. They were very attentive, hospitable, and were there for you whenever you needed anything! Overall, amazing people and great hotel!

The rooms could use some modernizations. One of the electrical outlets was not working and there weren’t that many more either. The bathroom was a little small and could also be modernized. Regardless, it was still nice and the experience was great!

LOVED the location, staff was INCREDIBLE, beautiful old historic building (it was a little dark because of that), had a bar with a bartender who was like a concierge, Luis. He gave me all kind of great tips and suggestions. Jaime the General Manager was very kind and accommodating, the restaurant attached was actually quite good and reasonable prices. Rooms were very basic but functional.

Bathroom window opened up to the main hallway. Awkward.

The location was great.. in the heart of the city. within walking distance of food and points of interest. The hotel was wonderful.. full of character, history and charm.. love the Juliet doors. The staff were very accommodating and were full of knowledge about the history of the building and info about the city.

The bathroom needed updating. I didn't like that the bathroom window opened into the hallway..

Close to many historical building like cathedral, theater and others nice attractions, the staff was polite and nice people and last the mariachi night was awesome 👌

The room was in very bad condition, the bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom horrible, no hairdryer, no iron on the room

I love this hotel! If you want to be right in the middle of the city this is an excellent choice! It is an older establishment (from 1610) so expect all the history and the quirks of an older establishment. The staff will treat you like family if you are here more than a 3 day stay.

Very pleasant staff, historical building with a nice atmosphere, absolutely downtown, short walk to restaurants, bars and museums, roof terrace with an incredible view to City and Cathedral, a movie with Charles Bronson was filmed there, for breakfast you just go through a door into a local breakfast restaurant with full food, fruits, juices, coffee, hotel organizes tours to Tequila,

I loved my room on the second floor, with a balcony and street view. The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance to so many attractions, and in middle of the hustle and bustle of a big city. Beautiful views from the roof of the hotel.

The bathroom worked fine, could use an upgrade.

Location is the best. I love old buildings with a history. This fit the bill perfectly, would and will stay here again.

They advertise a happy hour on their website from 2p to 7p drinks 2 for 1 in the lobby bar. They didn't honor that any of the four nights we stayed.

The old world charm was outstanding. Staff was helpful and friendly both in the hotel and adjoining restaurant. Room was lovely.

The shower in the bathroom was a bit dangerous. No matter what we did, water all over the floor. Curtain not long enough and useless floor ledge around the shower. Safety grab bars and longer shower curtain would help.
