An excellent choice when visiting Guadalajara as a tourist. Within easy walking distance to major sights such as the Cathedral, the Palacio del Gobierno and the Regional Museum. The front desk staff were very helpful. The breakfast in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Special thanks to Kevin, one of the porters, who was super helpful.

My room on the first floor had coloured lights on the hotel exterior which flashed through the night. Not big problem, except that it meant that I had to keep the 'dark' curtain down all night. (I usually prefer to use only the sheer curtain.

This hotel is wonderful. Great service, very clean and modern. The staff were excellent. Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding changed as requested. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced with delicious choices including made to order eggs and pancakes. The room was spacious although the double bed was small. Great location. A short walk to good restaurants and the beautiful and interesting main square.

It was difficult to find staff who spoke English. The concierge was able to organize access to only a few tours and could not give very much information on the hop on hop off bus tour which we wanted to take. There were three of us in the room with two double beds. The bed was quite small for two people.

I usually don’t write reviews but this hotel really deserves one. Great esthetics, really clean (they were even cleaning the hall rugs during our stay!), comfortable bed and pillows, great in quality and variety breakfast, and absolutely wonderful stuff. Special thanks to all the reception people (and especially this very helpful guy with his good English and smile that I don’t remember his name), to Alex the bellboy, to Ernesto in the bar, to the sweet lady that was cleaning our room and the lovely señores y señor in the breakfast area. The location is also great. I think I liked this hotel even more than Guadalajara itself 😅

I cannot think of anything really. One of the elevators was out of service but they even fixed this fast. Best hotel experience ever!

We love hotel Maestranza and choose it 95% of the time we come to Guadalajara. It’s a great price and locality. We love you have smart tvs although the internet isn’t good enough to get Prime TV. The staff are excellent, helpful, kind and friendly.

Depending on which side your room is situated it can be noisy at night if you’re facing the lifts with people noisy even early in the morning. We would like a mini fridge in the room. We have a fully electric car and hopefully you’ll get some chargers otherwise we need to go elsewhere sadly.

There are flashing lights from the bar that flash in your room ALL night no matter what you do to try and block them out with the curtains. Please fix this!

Bell service and concierge exceeded our expectations! They were extremely helpful and friendly.

The person who assisted us with registration was rude! Our rooms were not ready and I understood that but she didn’t have to be rude about it. She was never friendly and never even smiled. She didn’t offered that I keep a tab open which caused an inconvenience later that evening. She shouldn’t work the front desk with that attitude. However, all other staff was amazing.

Great location and room comfort. Nice beds and pillows. Easy access and check out.

Nice clean modern interiors, hospitable staff, decent restaurant. Location close to historical landmarks in historic district. Nice eay and pleasurable walk to Cathedral and shopping district, jewelry wholesale mart. Some surrounding streets near this facility seem run down, but this is typical of an old metro city like Guadalajara. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others

I recently stayed at Real Maestranza and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that ensured a good night’s sleep. Its central location is very convenient for exploring the area. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

However, there was a slight issue with a funny smell coming from the toilet, which I wasn’t sure if it was related to the plumbing or something else. Despite this, everything else was fantastic, and I would definitely stay here again.

As this is our go to hotel in Guadalajara we find the hotel and staff really good. This time, they were very helpful in providing a wheelchair for my wife, who unfortunately tripped on one of the many pavement hazards in the city and hurt her knee. Alexis, one of the staff was really helpful in answering my questions regarding public transport and arranging the wheelchair.

Trivial but having to go to reception to collect and pay for a room coffee pack each day after the first night seems unnecessary when normally most hotels provide it free of charge as part of the room rate. It has always been thus, and it is the only issue I have with the hotel each time we stay
