We (42F, 43M from USA) felt this was a wonderful value for our week in Bacalar. Staff was kind and available for our requests. Pool was beautiful and clean, although not heated which was ok because the lake was gorgeous! Had the weather been warmer I’m sure the pool would be perfect. We stayed in king suite and it had plenty of room for 2 of us and felt very clean/bright/cheerful. Location was central- we parked our rental car on the street and walked everywhere for the whole week of our stay- it was so lovely! We didn’t use the kitchen at all but it was well equipped (the restaurants in Bacalar are so good, we dined out). Hotel provided all drinking water which was appreciated.

Minor complaint- Showers were sometimes not hot - seemed to be at night so maybe due to solar heating? FYI: you will hear noise from the party places in town. It didn’t bother us at all and was even less noticeable if we closed all the windows.

I really enjoyed my stay, and it was exactly as described ☺️ The gardens were gorgeous and the sounds of the birds was very calming and relaxing. The plants provided shade and privacy. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The single room had everything that I needed. The unlimited coffee and water were great! I really liked the communication and how clear this was. Great arrangements in place to support recycling and reduce waste. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the lagoon and eating out. Walkable to the bus station, but a taxi was 50/60 pesos. Wherever you stay in Bacalar you will hear some music from restaurants unless you are far out of town. It wasn't loud here and was more of a background noise and not overly intrusive.

The people working at the hotel are all really nice and helpful, especially Karla, who made sure I had the most pleasant stay during my week in Bacalar offering suggestions and helping out with tours and transportation. The Colibrí suite is a small clean room but ideal for solo travelers like ́myself. The hotel is very conveniently located near the main plaza, the ecoparque and plenty of restaurants for breakfast, brunch or dinner. I definitely recommend Oasis for your stay.

I loved everything about this property. It is beautiful and peaceful and very close to the lagoon, Centro, incredible restaurants, and anything you may need. It is so clean and quiet and the pool is lovely. Like a little oasis in the middle of town.The staff is so helpful and kind, and constantly ensuring you have everything you need. The kitchen in the room is well stocked with such nice little touches and the fresh drinking water provided is such a great bonus. I’ve stayed in many places and can honestly say this has been one of my favourites. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Bacalar.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.

We had the most amazing stay here. The location was perfect - walking distance to the lagoon and centre, and next door to Mr Tacos :) The room was perfect - it was spacious, clean and it was the most well-equipped kitchen we had on our travels (we were in the Mango Suite). They even provided drinkable water and coffee. The WiFi and A/C worked well. We enjoyed having convenient access to the pool when it was too hot to walk to the lagoon. And last of all the staff were perfect - so friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Thank you to Sonia, Marios and your team for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back soon!

Everything was perfect!

Location was close to lake and center. Larger room. Free drinking water im room. Had hot water. Nice soap. Big fridge. Kitchen had utensils to cook and coffee maker. It looks like the photos. Staff nice.

More attention to cleaniness as bed /sheets had multiple little stains. Price in area was high for no breakfast (or ticket to restaurant for breakfast). Mr.taco is next door and is loud, but shuts down at 10pm-11pm. ac & tv remotes not working on arrival- asked desk they fix ac but maybe if i noticed late wouldn’t have been around. Had i asked they’d probably change sheets but i was tired of constantly asking for things. This was a splurge to reward myself for hard work for months…. Wasnt worth the splurge to me. Sorta disappointed. Overall it’s fine

The pool area is lovely and tranquil. There’s shade available along the side. Most rooms have a bit of privacy, where a wall or greenery obscures any direct view into it. Staff was always friendly. Room had several nice touches, like instant coffee, hair dryer. Quiet and convenient location.

If you’re in a room that overlooks the pool, you will hear when children are enjoying it. Not a big deal, but the sound from the pool travels really well, and we had some young one who really loved to shriek when romping in the water (daytime hours only, of course)

Hotel & Suites Oasis Bacalar is not a luxury hotel, so if that is what you are looking for, it isn't for you. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, comfortable hotel, that is centrally located and has attentive friendly staff, then do not hesitate. Not to mention the pool is clean and perfect for kids to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals. I would definitely book again.

It was hard to get warm water but I think that is due to the area in general. It wasn't a deal breaker for me.

It is in a great location. Within 5 minutes to the lagoon. 2-10 minutes from many restaurants, centro and fort. The room and property were very well kept and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and the pressure was very good. They provide 5 gal drinking water as part of the rate and will refill it as needed. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the location. We always travel with a small white noise machine and slept well during our 5 night stay.

No complaints

The Oasis get the simple things right, a well equipped and comfortable room with friendly and helpful staff. It is a leafy, peaceful location but just a short walk from both the lagoon and the town centre. The pool area is a great spot to both sunbath or relax and hide from the midday sun. Steven and his team are always on hand for help and advice on food, activities, booking a taxi etc. Thoroughly recommend!
