Same block as Mr Taco, must try the fish tacos!! Two blocks from town square. Plenty of room storage. Quiet area as hotel is tucked behind other businesses. Good walks could be enjoyed by people and dogs alike. The breakfast next door was tasty. Free and good perked coffee 24/7. Water available right next to the coffee.

Our room was never cleaned the entire four nights we were there. I'd set our garbage outside the room as there was no dumpster available to dispose of it. I had to ask for new garbage liners at the desk but they were happy to provide them.

the hotel is really nice and the receptionist really professional and kind. At the moment of the check in we made also the reservation for the boat tour for the next day and the staff gave us very good and detailed explaination about the tour. Breakfast ok in the restaurant just nearby the hotel

only the room because of the size and above all because was the first one after the reception, on the right, and then we had to keep all the windows closed not to be seen from outside, and this also did not help the ventilation. anyway we definitely suggest this hotel

-the room was spacious and bright -beds were comfy -free water refill, hot water, tea and coffee in front of the reception -the pool was super clean (it doesn't happen often) -the staff was helpful and kind -free toiletries and towel for the pool ready to use -breakfast in the near restaurant, not so many options but for us was perfect (you can choose between oat bowl, fried eggs or mexican egg, hummus toast, eggs with jamon then coffe or tea and fruit or juice)

My sisters and I stayed here and it was perfect! The location was fantastic, the rooms were great (and smelled lovely), the pool was amazing and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was great from the restaurant next door and we also went for an evening meal there (highly recommend). We had a car which could be parked in the car park next to the hotel which was great. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough - right in the centre, feels safe and close to the lake! Thank you!

Great stay in the city center of Bacalar with private parking. Quiet location; just 5min by foot from the main square. The room was nice and decent shower as well. Breakfast was okay and served in the restaurant on-site. Nice swimming pool as well. Nice staff; they can assist with laundry and booking of activities. The terrace is not private, for us that wasn't an issue but just mentioning it.

Great location, lovely breakfast at the adjoining restaurant Finisterre, staff very helpful. Less than 5 mins walk to the town square for restaurants and markets stalls in the evening, 5 mins walk down to the lagoon as well for a swim. Also great to have water bottle refill area.

Could have done with an extra pillow each, also beware cockerels (several) which crow for min. 2 hours before and after first light - really not great if you are in any way not a heavy sleeper. We didn’t sleep past the initial crowing each night so we’re ready to leave for a new location by then!! I know not in the hotels control but it’s just to warn you.

Hotel Sur is very nicely located, close to the Laguna and the town centre. They offer a private parking spot, laundry service for a fair price, and complementary breakfast. It's a small-scale accommodation with spacious rooms equipped with AC and a huge comfortable bed. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The pool was area was clean and inviting and a nice place to cool down and relax.

Unfortunately, the WiFi was very unstable, although I must say the staff tried their best to help with that by offering a mobile hotspot. Also, the rooms are quite noisy (as is the case in many Mexican accommodations), and the neighbours have a few roosters that were crowing ALL. DAY. LONG. from 3 AM onwards. So if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs ;). The complementary breakfast was fine, however limited. A bit of fruit or yoghurt would be a nice addition.

Location, Restaurant and Free breakfast was very nice! Spacious two King room. Beds were comfy (and I’m very picky) Balcony in our room was spacious and comfortable.

Loud BASE Music a few nights- not from hotel!! Safe had issues- had to call twice for assistance. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay open and occluded the vanity space while using mirror.

I like the hotel Service, the staff is really friendly especially Javier. The room was clean, the swimming pool but just perfect for us 3. This is by beyond the best hotel I have booked. The breakfast was very nice. The employees from the restaurant are high qualified because the service was top. The lamp chops next the hotel was very delicious 😋

-The room was super lovely, spacious and just relaxing. -The barthroom was setup well, good shower -The room was also super clean which i like a lot -The location was so close the the city center it was really useful, just a 5 minute walk and you where in the big square of the town - The breakfast option was small in the restaurant(next door) but a welcoming gesture, with well selected options of quality dishes This is a good place if you visit Bacalar

-The water pressure was a bit weak for the rain showerhead but it worked -The power outlets where on interesting spots, to say in a kind matter That are my only small complains Overall a really good place to stay if you visit Bacalar
