I loved the walk ability of this location. Bacalar is one of the loveliest and cohesive places I have ever visited. The amenities and rooms, were top notch, prices excellent, and service A+. Parking was easy and I always found a space right outside the hotel on the street. From the hotel it was easy to walk to the main blvd. which had great dining, a historical fort, and a great view of one of the the lagoons.

I only did not like that I had to leave!

A well located hotel with lovely staff. It was only a few minutes to the nearest public pier for swimming in the lake, close to restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the bus station. My room was comfortable with a fridge and safe for valuables. There is a small pool on the roof which was great for cooling off. I booked my pontoon boat trip with the hotel and the cost was cheaper than the prices offered by the sellers on the street and I was picked up and returned to the hotel too.

When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived earlier than check in time, but they made it ready in no time. I asked for places and they helped me with all the questions and gave me suggestions. Room was nice and clean. Comfortable bed with good wifi.

Breakfast could have been better. Little choices of food. Pool didn’t really look clean, so I didn’t go in there. Room’s window was right next to someone’s roof, so when I opened the curtains, there were people next to my window. Didn’t feel the privacy. Stayed with curtains closed.

It has all you need for a short stay; has green practices and the distance to the lagoon is very short. Located near the main road with restaurants and bars. Good breakfast and nice roof pool.

The bed linen and lack of maintenance in several parts of the room, specifically in the bathroom.

Very clean, good location near the water, but far enough that the moquisitoes were not a problem. The staff were great, we stayed a week the staff tryed to change the breakfast a little every day. the breakfast was simple but very tasty. Not far from the main town square, walking distance, with lots of cute restaurants nearby. Very quiet area, even with Mexican Holy week. Highly recommend this place. We come back.

There is no elevator, so if you have problems with stairs the pool and lounge area are on the top floor. The only other thing was that the pool didn't appear to be cleaned often. It wasn't dirty, just the filter never ran. No coffee maker in room.

The hotel stays in an excellent location in a quiet part of the town, close to the beach and not so far from the town center. Both the house and the room are very clean. They clean it up daily. The staff is very frendly and helpfull. Breakfast - Excellent! Great choice, you can eat as much as you wants - eggs with bacon or vegetable, beans, toasts, stuffed omelette, pancakes, müssli, joghurt, fruits, coffee, milk, tea, juice. We really recommend the hotel!

I can honestly say that this place is a tranquil gem. The family run business is very cared for and they are eager to help you. The rooms are clean, fresh and comfy. The breakfast is a lovely fresh buffet. The pool area and relaxing terrace overlooks the lake and is peaceful. Quiet are to stay as no road noise. Overall a great stay. However it is a 10 minute walk to the epistle. Which didn’t bother us, but thought I would let potential people wanting to stay know.

The welcoming by Javier at the reception was exceptional, and so were the chefs at the kitchen during breakfast and the cleaning staff.

Not that we required it, but perhaps providing access to the kitchen and pool to guests with disabilities could be something to think about.

Nice little hotel, very close to the laguna and walking distance to the center. The staff is very friendly and does everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

Some renovations were ongoing in the surroundings of the hotel, but it didn't bother us much.

Small beautiful and clean hotel complex with courtyard, located a bit away from the big hustle and bustle. But restaurants and also the center (castle) is within 5-15min walking distance. Very helpful staff. Only stairs, no elevator. Refrigerator in the room. Bathroom with shower. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, there is also a small pool. View from the roof terrace reaches to the lagoon.

Parking is available only publicly on the street and often occupied, then it can be difficult to find a free parking space nearby.
