We loved this place. The location was ideal in the sense that it was very central so you could walk everywhere. The swimming pool is a bit cold but nice. Staff was super kind and willing to help us with everything. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner the bathroom was absolutely divine (produced by a local small company). You can make coffee in your room. The room itself is also spacious and super clean. Across the street is Mr Taco, a great restaurant!

Because the hotel is so centrally located you are also surrounded by some bars. This meant that there was loud music until 5:30 in the morning. Of course nothing the hotel can do something about but it's something I would like to know before I stay somewhere.

The breakfast and location were great. The rooms were great.

The woman in reception was not that friendly and when you asked her a question it was like you were bothering her. We switched rooms half way through our stay and checked out of room at 12 on the dot and asked if she could prioritise our next room as we were working in their restaurant area that has no ac and our bags all over the place. She really didn’t care and instead all other rooms were cleaned before ours. Even the room we checked out of was cleaned before ours! Small details like that would have gone far. Also would be great to have a fan in the dining area as there is no breeze up there.

Nothing! *I have read all the reviews and was a bit skeptical about staying here because of some of the negative comments (especially abou the noise), but this place is exceptional!!!! I question whomever wrote a negative comment? I understand if you can hear people chatting and music from the restaurant next door ( Mr.Taco) but it was faint and and didn't affect me or my sleep at all. I understand if you come during a very busy time (when kids/students are on holiday-they tend to get drunk and rowdy) -they are the problem not the hotel! The hotel is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it!

The pool was lovely and quiet when we were there. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with lovely staff. The reception helped us book excursions and taxis when we needed them.

The reception was empty half the time so maybe it needs more staff. We paid for our laundry to be done and they said it would take 24 hours. Come the next evening at 6pm we had to ask for it back; it was clean but was given to us in a wash basket just out of the dryer so be mindful as we had to leave the next morning. This place has no bar but you’re free to bring your own which was nice.

The front desk personnel greeted us and answered our questions about the area. They booked a tour for us that we enjoyed. We were happy with our room and the facilities. The hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool. It was in a convenient location and it was easy to walk to the main square and restaurants. The included breakfast was excellent.

A fan in the breakfast area would have been nice since it is so hot. There was some music noise in the evening from surrounding establishments however this was expected based on previous reviews.

The lovely, beautiful, clean and cosy hotel with wonderful staff, located near the publicly accessible beach. Generalny a fantastic stay.

The hotel is located near the night music club. The hotel provides with the earplugs so you can manage the sound (which for me worked well with one night exception) , but you learn that only after arrival. How ever the loveliness and general comfort of this hotel is worth of this little discomfort.

The place has a very positive atmosphere and the rooms, though rather small, feel spacious bright and clean. We loved the shower especially and the balcony was fantastic with the lagoon view! Staff was very kind with everything and we felt comfortable all throughout our stay. Special Kudos to Tommaso, the hotel manager, who was very helpful with a tiny issue we had - he’s a phenomenal host.

Three minor things need be said: - the bed in our double room was not queen size so make yourself comfortable with the idea of cuddling together through the warm Bacalar nights - breakfast could have more than three options although all of them were well prepared and good! - the place is close to the amazing salsa bar la catrina, where I’d just recommend going every night, but be prepared for some spillover music, especially at weekends for those of you seeking a early night sleep

Great hotel, excellent location, nice and quiet stay. Rooftop terrace is great to relax. Kids loved the shady pool to escape the daytime heat. Breakfast was an added bonus that was enjoyed by the whole family. Staff were very good at organising some great tours (paddle boarding and boat tour), with local companies. Overall was a great stay in Bacalar town.

All was perfect for us.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is fairly new, so everything is in top shape, the wall paintings are gorgeous. Rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is simple but very good and fast service. We did not use the pool. Mr. Taco, a very popular restaurant, is right across the road.

The bed is a little hard. They have about 5 roosters on the farm next to the hotel, take good earplugs.

from the moment I got there, the gentleman at front desk was fabulous. assisted me with tour bookings, restaurant recommendations and taxis. the room was as pictured, no lagoon view, but you can see it from breakfast and rooftop. the pool was great, the breakfast was outstanding. location was perfect and central. 13 minute walk from ADO bus stop. lagoon also a short walk.
