The location and beach front are just amazing ! The service and onsite restaurant was so convenient to lounge on the beach all day

The ONLY complaint is the beachfront bungalows are not insulated at all -holes in between the wood (just the nature of what it is) therefore the air conditioner never really gets it cold. We got used to it, but for people from Texas used to ac it was a little uncomfortable at night

That this was one of the only hotels that picked up seaweed making the beach great!!!

The bungalow facing the sea are beautiful and the room is big and comfortable The bar of the hotel is one the side so it's not in front of the rooms, which is nice. The rooms without sea view seemed a bit old. The hotel is overpriced but aligned with the prices on the island. If the sea view is important for you, I think this hotel is a good solution. If you don't want sea view, probably there are better options. Anyway, location was good, 15 min walk from the town.

The first room they gave us was the one furthest to the right (coming from the street) and there is a bar near that plays high music volume early in the morning, very annoying. Plus, the sea view is partial. I don't think it's fair to pay the same price for the rooms in the middle, which are quieter and have a full sea view, and the two room on the sides that have only partial sea view. We asked to change room and from the second night we had one of the central rooms, much quieter.

The beach is probably the best on the island - a massive plus for cleaning the algae - it looks like the only hotel in the area that does this properly and regularly. The garden is beautiful and quiet.

We noticed a significant decrease in food & beverage quality compared to 2-3 years ago. The restaurant is mostly empty. The bathrooms need renovation. That's a big minus.

Nice scenery view from Balcony, with beach and palm trees. The room has a pleasant fresh wood smell. The area is away from crowded places, but at the same time everything is within walking distance of 15 min or short bicycle ride. The beach is wonderful, with clear water (depending on the water flows that day). Personal great and extremely supportive. Small particles of Blueluminescent plankton could be found in front beach of the hotel, which made stay even more magical. We did a walk to Punto Mosquito and were able to observe Flamingos naturally. We took bycicles to the last ridible place and took a walk of 1,5h which was totally worth it. Hotel, location, available outdoor activities made a wonderful stay on this island.

Breakfast could be improved. No USB charging slots.

We spent the MOST stunning five nights at Blue Holbox. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!!! The best thing about the spot is its location, slightly east of the main town with a lovely stretch of beach in front of the hotel. It’s a bit quieter than closer to town and doesn’t have any buildup of seaweed. It’s a lovely fifteen minute stroll along the beach to town, so is easily walkable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I received useful communication via WhatsApp in the week before our arrival. The hotel arranged our shuttle for us and shared lots of helpful tips about what to do on the island. When our airconditioner briefly started beeping, we whatsapped reception and the issue was resolved immediately. The included breakfast was fresh, delicious and substantial. The bar and restaurant served delicious margaritas, cervezas and ceviche and the service was excellent! The hotel has plenty of chaise lounges with shade along the beach front and a stunning pool set back from the beach out of the heat. Our bungalow looked exactly like the pictures on booking.com. We had a stunning room with a veranda overlooking the powder white sand and sea. The unit is newly built and has a very nice bathroom and well-sized cupboard. The hotel’s layout with white hammocks hanging between the palm trees is so beautiful and tasteful! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Perfect vacation on the beach. The new beach huts are a dream! We enjoyed the fresh fruit, juice and smiles at breakfast on the beach! Thank you for having us, we are looking forward to returning soon!

Staff in breakfast was AWESOME! Room was decent. Need more hooks to hang towels, wet swimsuits etc... Room

room could have been cooler in the bathroom area. No air flow and it was extremely hot while trying to get dressed. Hardly any hooks to hang in room. Staff at front desk (slim guy) was not friendly. I asked for extra hangers and he said NO. He stated that I could not get anymore. I asked housekeeping and lady politely got me more and brought right to me. Had a problem with room key not working. Next to last day they had to replace door lock.

Location and proximity to the best stretch of beach on the island.

Breakfast was quite basic. No variety from day to day. Other hotels on the island had much better breakfasts The room upstairs from ours had a leaky shower which resulted in a drip that fell onto the bed in our room. The maintenance staff came to look at the issue, but were unable to resolve it during our stay. Fortunately for us, our kids were in the upstairs room where the leak came from so they could shower in our room. This would have been unacceptable had we not been a family staying together.

I cannot recommend it highly enough! The location is absolutely perfect - situated right on the beachfront yet conveniently distant from the busiest areas of the beach so its not too crowded. It allowed for peaceful afternoons spent lounging on the beach and restful nights sleep. As for the accommodation, the rooms are nothing short of beautiful. They are not only stylishly decorated but also very clean, providing a comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Holbox.

The included breakfast was quite poor, lack of options and not very good quality. Note: I also think it would be great if wait staff were to come to the beach during the day and check if guests would like to order food & drinks, rather than us going to the restaurant area
