The three bedroom apartment was lovely - a really good size and nicely decorated. The living room has wide windows which slide open and have insect screens, which made the room feel very open to the outside. We also used the roof terrace a lot - really nice breeze up there and very spacious, quiet and private.

The lack of some basics in the kitchen like tea, coffee, salt/pepper etc felt stingy. Supplying towels seemed to be a big deal and being asked to leave ID at reception for beach towels was over the top. The set out of the roof terrace felt a bit like an afterthought and could easily be made much nicer. It also had animal droppings each night (think it was the resident racoon?) so removing those daily would be good.

We had the most amazing time on Holbox. Deluxe apartments was the perfect low-key but great standard accomodation. We had the second biggest appartment - massive spaces with loads of room for me and my wife and two kids (9 and 11). We hardly used the kitchen, but it was good to have. You get fresh water, pool towels etc. Superfriendly staff that helped us with renting a golf car for the day (must do!) and taxi to the boat for the return. One of the best things about the location is Cafe Del Mar just out on the bech - the most perfect little restaurant/bar ever... So relaxed, resonably priced and great food/drinks with a great sunset.

The included breakfast is perhaps a bit sparse. But I dont eat more than a toast - and the coffee was good - and then we added pancakes for the boys for a small cost - so still very good.

Staff were exceptional, beyond helpful with taxis, location advice and even lending us a phone charger for the duration of our stay. Most speak English which was so helpful. The breakfasts were superb and again served up by such lovely staff. The pool is a perfect size and the whole ambiance was wonderfully relaxing with a great selection of mellow music playing gently in the background. The room was clean, tidy and much bigger than expected. Good water pressure, great shower and perfect air con. I highly recommend this place for a gently relaxing vacation.

I'm struggling to think of anything I didn't like I really am!

I don't know where to begin. I loved the place, how quiet it is, the peacefullness around the pool surrounded by coconut trees. The location was great, a block from the beach where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and a 15 to 20 minute walk to al the animation in the center of town. Thank you to the very attentive staff, Juan Jose was the best at answering all the questions I had and helped with all my requests. Don't hesitate to add to your breakfast options, Luis makes the best omelettes and scrambled eggs. See you soon I hope.

Good apartments with a good pool about 3 minutes from the beach and 15minutes from the town. Generally well maintained but looking a bit tired in places Well equipped kitchen and included fresh bottled water in the room Basic breakfast included but the same each day

They wanted to charge 200 pesos (approx £8) to use bikes for a day, even if you only wanted to use it for 5 minutes to go to a shop. And to be honest I wouldn’t pay that amount to buy one of the bikes (old and knackered) My suggestion: offer them for free!

The apartment was spacious. The staff were nice and friendly and trying their best. The pool area is nice.

The location of the property is close to the beach BUT if we wanted to get to it or to the town we had to do it through the knee deep muddy water on the streets. The water from the rain didn't go anywhere at all and it started to smell like sewage. The whole island smells like sewage anyway. And walking in this water became unbearable so we left the islad early. The surrounding of the building is full of garbage, some construction leftovers and smelly brown water. Bad smell like sewage was also on one side of the building. This made the stay really unpleasant.

We appreciated the smaller hotel atmosphere, the pool area and the grounds were well maintained. We received an upgrade upon checkin and were provided two rooms instead on one on the 1st floor. Initially we were going to be on the ground level so we were appreciative to have more room and more breeze.

The breakfast is quite light, as mentioned in other comments. It seems like in this price range a little more options would be permitted in the "included breakfast".

This is a well kept, small property. The suites are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The area around the property is not walkable due flooded streets, but we got around fine using the local motorized transport. The free breakfast is limited, but for a few dollars, we paid for breakfast from the menu and enjoyed the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and pancakes. Everyone at the property is super friendly. We didn’t use the small pool, but saw little kids enjoying themselves. The suites have air conditioning and basic kitchen appliances. Lots of space. I would highly recommend Deluxe to families with young children or large groups.

That the roads surrounding the hotel were impassable by foot.

Very beautiful and cosy place to relax at the pool side or to get some drinks or food at the bar. Super clean and extremeley friendly staff. Helped with an issue in the bathroom within the same day (repair) and offered change to higher standard immediately. Instead of switching they also offered free breakfast to compensate. Never experienced such a customer-oriented service. Booked also all tours via the reception. Best service provided! Very close to the beach and beach bar Cafe del Mar (also recommended).

Location was great. The grounds very pleasant and dreamy. Fantastic pool, perfect size for kids and adults (although no real shallow end for kids). Great setup for breakfast even though basic. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 6 yr old and 1 yr old and it could not have been better. Beds were comfortable, staff was so lovely and responsive. I would not hesitate to stay there for again with out family. Great quiet beach right down the road. About a 10 minute walk into town. I miss this place!

Fan/lighting situation could be fixed. The pull cords were broken.
