Loved my stay at Zomay - Daniel at reception was super friendly and made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller. The breakfast is very basic as you select 1 option off a menu but it is served with beach views! So loved that! Great area on the beach with lots of sun lounges and the bar staff always checking on you for drinks service and food. Holbox has a lovely vibe with sand roads and beach vibe everywhere. Zomay is about 2 short blocks walk to the main streets of town and is in a quieter area to the main beach so feels nice and private.

A pool would be nice as sea in the area was a bit dirty when I was there in July and it's a little pricey for food and drinks but this is actually the whole of Holbox and not just Zomay.

the location was the best with an infant as it is very close to the sea and did not take much effort to spend the days. the staff (Carmen, Coco, Daniele) was very friendly and helpful to solve problems. the food and the drinks were good. the baby was happy over all and we also were. there were different musicians and djs at sunset on the beach. plenty of different spaces. birds singing.

the cleaning process can be improved as having a baby that sleeps during also the morning it was difficult even asking to perform the cleaning in the times it was supposed to be performed. the pillow of the bed was not the best. I slept without in order to avoid neck ache. the toilet ( in the room we had) did not have natural air or forced air so it accumulates bad smell. at the moment there is a construction site near so during the day there might be some noise near the houses ( not so much on the beach) and I think for another year it will be so, maybe it will become less noise as at the moment they are doing the metal work.

We had the pleasure of staying five nights at Hotel Zomay on the beautiful island of Holbox, and it was an absolute dream! The rooms may not be the newest, but they have exactly the authentic charm you’d want for a relaxing beach getaway. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the proximity to the beach is unbeatable. What impressed us the most was the beautifully designed hotel grounds, full of tropical plants and cozy spots that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming—you can tell they love what they do. Ricardo was a fantastic host, providing us with lots of great tips and always happy to chat. The bar and restaurant staff were also very attentive and quick, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was a real highlight! Compared to many other hotels in Mexico, it was varied, delicious, and of great quality—a fantastic way to start the day. Hotel Zomay is the ideal place for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic getaway on Holbox. The combination of a fantastic location, warm hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere won us over completely. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel!

It was located close to the center and right at the beach. It had a lot of common space with many options to relax. Room was spacious.

The beach at this spot was the dirtiest due to currents and waves at this specific “corner” location, compared to any other spots to the right. Staff didn’t make a continues effort to clean up, so couldn’t get into the sea here :( Had to go to near-bye beaches to swim. How the restaurant was run was a joke , waiters were ok though. Price-quality here was bad. Needs new management for sure. We complained about some things to the receptionist, nothing at all happened.

I travelled with 3 friends and stayed at the bungalow. The bungalow itself was very spacious, big bathroom as well. The shower was so good with great water pressure. Place was clean and comfortable. The location was great as well. The breakfast was generally good with different options to choose from.

If I had to pick something that I didn't like was the bed. The mattress wasn't the most comfortable. And it was for 4 ppl but we didn't have utensils for 4 in the kitchen. I think we missed plates and cutlery.

Pet friendly and the staff was so helpful. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom beautiful. The bar served innovative drinks and the food was fresh and wholesome. There were all kinds of people there - young, old, gay, straight, local and international. It felt like Key West back before it got ruined by chain restaurants and cruise ships.

Small tiny issue. The morning yoga class took place on the patio located on the roof of our casita and it created a bit of noise (I know yoga is quiet but it was the creaking).

The hotel is perfectly located on the island, we had our own hut with a bathroom and outside area with seating to chill out. Every detail was thought about - with beach towels, shampoo, aircon and filtered water. The beach club was great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating with our late arrival to Holbox. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Holbox 10/10

The natural surroundings, the location, the super friendly staff, the laid back vibe, all was just amazing

The room was basic but good and breakfast was basic as well. We are used to a bit more continental breakfast (like yoghurt and toast) and for this price we just expected a bit more. However, the restaurant where the breakfast was served and the friendly staff definitely made up for all of it.

I’m in love with this hotel. It’s directly at the beach front. Has very cosy cozy sun beds with umbrellas. The rooms are basic but on a very nice way and just fit perfectly into the vibe of the island. The food and service at the hotel is just the best! The stuff is so really friendly and helpful at any time. Also the restaurant of zomay has great food and cocktails. Anyway In the evenings zomay is the spot where half of the island comes to watch the sunset and sometimes they have some live music or DJs playing. Also a new coffee opened at zomay, so if you miss your cappuccino and a brownie the quality is really nice. We will definitely come again! A big thank you to zomay <3

We loved everything

The location and proximity to the beach, as well as the beautiful grounds were my favorite things about Zomay. The free breakfast was delicious and the location and views of the restaurant are fantastic.

There could be more hooks inside the room and bathroom for hanging up wet bathing suits and towels, as well as more hangers for hanging up clothing.
