The location is perfect, as it is in a new shopping development with a bunch of restaurants, shops, supermarket etc. in the same complex. It comes with its underground parking and has in /out privileges with the hotel room key. Check-in staff late at night was amazing and made us feel welcome while we waited. The room was amazing, with a great king bed, a sofa and a great bathroom. The bath had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (a first in Mexico for us). The mattress was comfortable.

The hotel only offered 2 water bottles per day. The housekeeping staff did not speak english so was difficult to communicate. The view from the room was the back of another building. Very little to not like.

I LOVED staying here, we were there for a week and the highlight of each day was the breakfast. We weren’t sure whether to include the breakfast or not but we are SO glad we did. Everything was so delicious. Rooms were clean and spacious. Pools open late.

The drinks :(, it was a hit or miss, some margaritas came out too sour. Some pina coladas without the pina. We preferred to spend our money somewhere else when it became for drinks.

Great location and reasonable price.

No chairs or table on the balcony, which defeats the purpose of booking a room with balcony.

The only weak point was the breakfast buffet. It looks a bit scarce if you expect the typical big self service one but they also offer earthy options to order a la carte. So not bad if you like a big breakfast

it’s brand new so it was very clean and the aloft brand is general is always very cute decor with a modern youthful vibe. it’s also super close to everything but not so close that the noise from 5th keeps you up at night. the rooftop pool is also very nice with well priced drinks at the bar.

we paid extra for a balcony room but our view was of an empty lot, probably the worst view I’ve ever had. there was also only one chair on the balcony. definitely do not recommend paying extra for a balcony it’s not worth it. the same view can be seen from the ocean side of the rooftop pool but if you stand back far enough you just see the ocean which is nice. we were also charged more than what was on our receipt and staff was very unhelpful with why that happened so we will have to figure it out with bank

Rooms and beds were excellent, big and conformable. Roof top is the best. Would stay again. It was fab..

We were not told about the Towles when checking in.. , we didn't get a towel card and went back and forth with the reception and the guy on the roof top.. we figured it out and it worked out.. small thing but would be good to be explained earlier at check in

Nice big room, actually 2nd stay within a couple of weeks in area and stayed 3 nights. Great location, just off tourist strip, walk to everything. Grocery store in complex for groceries, beer, etc. Rooftop is excellent, 2 pools, lots of loungers, good service for food & drink. Also gym was perfect. Restaurant and front desk service and staff were very good, thanks to Alberto and assistant in training (lost his name) who were very helpful with room, recommendations and assist with making airline phone calls, where I was on hold twice for long stints and able to use house phone. Low season meant low rates, very good value.

Not enough bottled water provided (2 small bottles) meant lugging water up from grocery. Most places I stayed were providing 1.5 L bottles per person daily. Pretty minor but easy fix.

Really great location in the middle of Playa de carmen. Walking distance to 5th Avenue and the local beach and several restaurants. Supermarket right below the hotel. Really comfortable rooms and wonderful rooftop pool which we really enjoyed. Only reasons to not give it a 10/10 are 1) lack of any kind of concierge / tourist info at the reception- at the least they could have tie ups with travel agents that they can point us to in a touristy town like this. Basically, make your own plans and don’t count on suggestions from the hotel 2) the breakfast is strictly ok - there are several cafes around so a good tip is to not include breakfast in the room rate.

Super well located - very central and close to cool bars and restaurants, but not in a loud area. The rooftop bar is really nice. Overall nice design and modern.

The hotel feels a bit worn down - cheap materials that are already falling apart (for example the bathroom door seemed like it was going to fall off any minute). Our room was above a giant external ventilation pump which was EXTREMELY loud 24/7 and really affected our sleep. The bed duvets don’t have proper covers - just a bedsheet covering it, which is quite disgusting as you’re bound to lose the sheet during sleep.

We really enjoyed the size of the room with nice seating and a table! We also valued the large windows and balcony with a city view over the soccer field. We liked having a fridge in the room too. The best amenity is definitely the roof top pool. It was really spectacular with great views. We also used the gym and it was well appointed and better than almost all hotel gyms that we have used. The staff was very friendly and happy. Dino, at the front desk was especially helpful at check-in. The location is central to great restaurants and activities in Playa Del Carmen.

The cocktails served in the pool area could be better quality. The margarita was pretty bad and the wine was undrinkable. That is a pretty easy fix, so there is definitely room for improvement.
