Very well located close to the bus station and the center. Room was clean and comfortable. There’s a nice common area with tables and benches + a small swimming pool. Staff was absolutely great, very friendly and offering several tips for our trip!

Minor thing… the pictures on booking look a bit better than it actually is. It’s still very nice but the pictures are so polished that it’s a bit misleading.

Loved the breakfast and the staff were very nice! Very close to lots of delicious restaurants.

This place truly surprised us. The location was perfect, very close to the ADO station and the main street. The hotel is very beautiful on the inside and has a great space for breakfast. Breakfast was good enough, it was a choice between 3 options. Our room was very stylish, spacious and comfortable. The staff was amazing, everyone was nice, specially Juan who gave us great tips and was very helpful even when we had some trouble. I recommend BAU hotel very much! 👌

If i had to point out something, maybe the tap of the toilet of the bedroom could use some maintenance, we would get water everywhere.

Bau Tulum is perfectly located in the heart of Tulum, just two blocks from the ADO bus terminal and downtown Tulum, making it super accessible. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we truly felt at home here. The overall facilities, spacious rooms, and thoughtful hotel layout were all spot on. Our package included breakfast, and every day we were served a different Mexican breakfast, freshly cooked right in front of us, such a lovely touch! We initially booked the Gallery Room for three nights and planned to stay in the main room with the bathtub for our final night. But the team kindly offered us an early upgrade on the second day and even gave us that night for free! They also decorated the room beautifully upon request, as it was my husband’s birthday. Our overall experience was amazing, and we’d love to stay here again!

It’s not something we didn’t like, just a friendly suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could expand its restaurant offerings to include lunch and dinner options along with breakfast.

Very friendly staff, they helped us organize a tour and answered all of our questions, gracias. The room has enough space, a safe and a good working AC. The hotel is just a 3min walk away from the ADO bus station, so perfect if you are traveling by bus. The breakfast is delicious but not that much, enough for the start of the day. There are enough options for vegetarians.

You should know that the hotel is located in the city so it's always a bit noisy. There is also a church nearby so sometimes you can hear music until the early night. For us all this was not a big problem.

Hotel is 4 blocks to the main street with restaurants, souvenirs stores, mini market, money exchange, ADO bus terminal and colectivo buses. Medium size room with good A/C. Free toiletries. Special thanks to Juan, he was very helpful with all the tips!

Taking a shower is messy, water comes out from the shower and the floor gets all wet. Hot water takes time. Bathroom sink it’s difficult to regulate the water pressure. A bad smell comes out of the shower from time to time. Wi-Fi in the room disconnect every 3 minutes. Breakfast could be better.

I thought I was booking a room in a budget hotel but it was more like an upscale hostel. However, I was glad I had made a mistake, because I absolutely loved Bau - it was central, safe, spotless and my room was spacious, comfortable and stylish. Plus it is a two-minute walk from central Tulum and its shops, bars and restaurants, and right by the ADO bus station, so it is super-convenient. I booked Bau based on jts great reviews, all of which raved about Juan, the manager, and how brilliant he is. Cynical me thought, "oh, Juan has got his mates to write these amazing reviews" - but I found out for myself that he really is brilliant! He knew everything - where to go, what to do, what to avoid... he was a mine of information and he went over and above to help me. In fact he is so helpful and knowledgeable that I think he should be the mayor of Tulum! :-) It was the best place I stayed in Mexico and I would definitely go back.

What a perfect place to stay and unwind. I initial book it for two nights, but I like it so much that I ended up staying another 12 days. The hotel is located in the center and two minutes on foot from ADO bus station. The rooms are very clean, elegantly decorated, great vibes around. The owners Fernan and Fran are so welcoming and always around to help. Rosi is an amazing cook who will feed you with delicious food in the morning. I was super happy at Bau!

Very friendly and helpful manager, Juan! He literally guided us on how to get around the city, which made our trip so much easier. The breakfast options were healthy and delicious, perfect for starting the day right. The location is excellent, especially if you're using the ADO bus for transportation—super convenient. Highly recommended!

Only small downside was that the shower tends to make most of the bathroom floor wet—maybe a more secure or enclosed option could be considered.

The stay in Bau Tulum Hotel with my friend was Amazing, both for the location and the service! All people working there were friendly and always available to help and support us, even when we had to review our plans cause the agency cancelled the tour to Bacalar. They suggested another way to spend the day and was great :) The hotel Is located really close to the city centre, you Will walk 5 minutes, or even less, to the main street, and you may get the mexican collectivos or a taxi to reach the incredibile beach of Tulum or the ruins. A plus Is also the swimming pool, a good way to rest a bit sometines. Thank all guys ❤️❤️
