In all my travels this has been one of my favorite stays. My daughter and I stayed a week. Stepping through the gate is like stepping into an oasis. Lush plants, little waterfalls, a parrot named Mr. FaFa, a turtle named Donatello, bright beautiful colors, a shaded sun deck with hammocks, wood chimes, and Sr. Guillermo, the manager is incredibly helpful and kind. The restaurant is small, family run, and delicious. We had breakfast there every morning. They roast their own coffee and it's amazing. I filled my suitcase with bags of coffee to give out as gifts. The hotel is centrally located and just minutes walking distance from the main street. I cannot recommend this place anymore that I am.

There was no other property that Chad the same feel as maison Tulum. If you are a bit eccentric, would like a beautiful place to stay with a homey “bed and breakfast” kind of stay, I would 100% reccommend this stay! Our host seemed to always be there, which was super convenient, the air condition ain’t works well, but we stayed in April and the room was breezy enough not to need it. It was a lovely kept secret. The location was great! There was a restaurant attached, and several corner stores 1-2 small blocks away. It was close to several different walking areas for nightlife and restaurant people watching. And it was lively at night, but still quiet in the rooms even with the windows open. Overall, the look of the place was well curated and kitschy which is what attracted us. And we were not disappointed!

The water in the showers was warm at best. That being said we really only took cold showers as a break from the heat. So there was nothing to complain about. The stairs leading up to the room were steep. It was well lit at night so you could see, but still something to consider.

This place was extremely charming. Guillermo, the staff member who greeted us upon arrival, was friendly and kind and helpful. It was extremely conveniently located within easy walking distance of the local ADO bus station, which made things much easier for us. AC worked well, mini fridge in the room was helpful. Very beautiful plants, friendly cats, good location. Very clean and felt very safe.

Honestly I loved this place. If I had to choose one thing to say I disliked, it would only be that I did not know that there would be cats there, and I have a cat allergy. It didn’t really pose a problem as I just avoided them, but they were friendly.

Our room was a quiet sanctuary in Tulum. A few streets back from the main street and 4 minutes walk from the ADO bus station, it’s close to everything but away from the noise and music. The water was hot, the air-conditioning was great, and the bed was really comfortable. Guillermo is an amazing host; he was kind enough to let us leave our bags for a few hours before checking in, as well as after checking out. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing really to note; the smart TV worked but you needed to log-in to your own accounts, which we unfortunately don’t have at the moment.

Excellent boutique hotel in the center downtown Tulum. Just few blocks walk from ADO central bus station in Tulum. Took luxurious ADO Volvo bus from brand new Tulum airport for $11 USD only. Hotel Maison Tulum is fantastic boutique hotel with cozy stay. Liked the penthouse suite on upper floor. Breakfast downstairs and offered wonderful dishes at reasonable prices. Must visit every day to get day going. Property manager Guillermo is very kind, artistic, helpful and hard working personwe met. He made the stay extra comfortable and really memorable. FaFa parrot was another beautiful bird we met and interacted with everytime coming from and going to room. Garden terrace was another highlight of the hotel Maison. Greeb plantation and artistic items kept there gave a sense of beauty and happiness. Tulum downtown has awesome restaurants, very convenient and felt safe all the time. People met on the street, restaurants and shops were very friendly and welcoming. Great vibes, energy and atmosphere in December experienced. Booked ADO bus a day before at the station to go to Chichen Itza in morning and returned in the evening. $30 total plus ticket and private guide at the entrance Very cost effective way to see the wonder of the world! Guillermo also helped get us a taxi quickly, when leaving for beach hotel hotel after 3 days of fantastic stay there. Thanks Guillermo!

Everything was great! The location was perfect, only 5 mins walk from the ADO bus station, 5 mins to walk to the Main Street, the little cafe that’s located inside was wonderful with a delicious breakfast and coffee. I had the penthouse with the little balcony which I loved. Bed was very comfortable. Its a beautiful setting inside the hotel with birds singing and it felt very peaceful. Secure, clean, and comfortable. Oh, and the manager, I’m sorry I forgot his name, but he was wonderful! I’d highly recommend this place. 10/10!

Super cute hotel close to the main street in Tulum. We loved the location and the look of the hotel - you can tell that the place is well cared for! The rooms are basic but have everything you need for a few days. Guillermo gives good recommendations and the café has great food. Would recommend anyone who wants to avoid the hotel zone vibe to stay here.

We missed hot water in the shower a few times.

Very nice place with tropical vibes. We like having a cafe/restaurant inside the hotel, very convenient for breakfast.

This place is in “downtown” Tulum. Very convenient for going out at night, but going to the beach was a nightmare. If you want to take public transport the shuttles often don’t stop for tourists but just for locals and taxis are expensive.

The location was phenomenal; two blocks from the bus station and close to everything. I stayed in the penthouse, and it was spacious with a balcony and a gorgeous bathroom with talavera tiles. The onsite restaurant was clean, efficient and had healthy options. Guillermo was an amazing and easy going host. The hotel is covered in art and is a little oasis with lots of plants, water features and friendly cats.

The WiFi wasn’t always the best, and the street noise can be a bit much, but I got used to it. I ended up adding two more nights to my stay because I loved the vibe so much.

It’s a lovely colourful place with a great atmosphere. The rooms (stayed in 2 different rooms) were really comfortable. The beds were just right, we got a great nights sleep. They don’t do breakfast but there’s a cafe attached to the hotel that does the most amazing food, it’s so good that I’d eat there every meal if I could. You near the main street and a very short walk to the bus station.
